Evangelism:Raise to give the dying world a living word
Text: Proverbs 11:30,Daniel 12:3
The word evangelism is derived from Greek word euangelion(gospel). Evangelism simply means sharing of news of something (the gospel) in order to convince someone to join or otherwise accept it. And the news we are to share as believers is that Jesus Christ died for our sin he was buried for our forgiveness and he resurrected for our justification with reference to John 3:16 which says for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that who so ever believes in him shall not perish but has everlasting life .
In our world today there is a sharp decline in the spreading of the gospel, when as Christians our core mission is to preach the gospel. As we go out to preach the gospel we please God because it's his will for us to preach the gospel.
Facts about evangelism
1: If you pray for sinners and you don't go out to evangelise your prayer is fruitless (Romans 10:14)
2: No matter how many programme or services the church has without evangelism the church will not grow
3: Biblically we know that for every soul we win heaven rejoice
So always remember to EVANGELISE !!!

Topic: Danger of Lukewarmness

Lukewarmness is the deadly enemy of the church. You must be set on fire by the love you have for God.

Lukewarmness is an ultimate curse that destroys the church and the foundations of Christianity. It is impossible to be a good Christian and not be zealous, faith-filled and fiery for Christ.

The dangers of Lukewarmness:
1. God is not deceived by Lukewarmness (Rev. 3:16)
2. There is self-righteousness in Lukewarmness (Gal. 1:10)
3. There is enmity in Lukewarmness (Matt. 12:30)
4. Lukewarmness caused by prosperity ("I am rich and have need for nothing" - Rev. 3:18)

Ways of dealing with Lukewarmness:
1. Buying Gold tried with fire will drive out Lukewarmness (Rev. 3:18)
2. Buying white raiment will drive out Lukewarmness ("I counsel you to buy of me ...white raiment..." - Seeking for white raiment means seeking for righteousness and holiness - Rev. 3:18)
3. Seeking the anointing will drive out Lukewarmness ("... anoint thine eye with eyesalve..." - Rev 3:18. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is essential in our daily Christian life. Elisha asked same from Elijah but Elijah told Elisha he has asked for a hard thing.)

Seeking for Spiritual things will keep you on your toes, seeking for God's power will keep you running, fighting your way to victory spiritually and learning from the Holy Spirit.

When spiritual goals are your priorities, you will have no time becoming lukewarm.
