Highlights of the Sermon by Alomaja Abayomi Smith at RCCG EAGLES WING ASSEMBLY, on Sunday 23rd October 2022
Topic: SHINEFORTH (shining from your walk with God)
Text: ISAIAH 60vs1
Isaiah 60:1
ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you–rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!
SHINEFORTH no doubt is a command just as it is instructed in Isaiah 60vs1.
But it is important to note that our shining is is in our WALK with God.
In this Kingdom no man shine by chasing success you shine by chasing God. The psalmist said in Psalm 27vs8 amplified
"You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and require My presence as your vital need]. My heart says to You, Your face (Your presence), Lord, will I seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word]"
He knew how important his shining is and he acknowledged the best place he could shine from is in seeking God. Invariably, his shining is in his walk with God.
Our shining is in the level of light available to us, No man shines in this Kingdom beyond the level of light that is available to him.
When the scripture instructed in our text( Isaiah 60vs1) that we should arise, it never said because our determination is now increased, or because our choice has now increased, no, it said "for your light has come" meaning that our rising is in the light that has come and can only be accessed if we arise into it.
So if we must shine it is necessary we go for the light that has been made available just as our text revealed, and how can we access this light?, It is from our WALK with God.
What then is this WALK?
Under the acronym WALK;
WAITING; if you can't wait you can't shine,it is in the waiting you gain the necessary energy to shine. In this case you don't try to go beyond the light available. Ish 40vs31, Habakkuk 2vs1.
ATTENDING; while you wait, you don't stay id
