Today, we had a beautiful and fulfilling August Monthly Meeting, graciously hosted by our August celebrants. The day began with a Thanksgiving Mass, followed by moments of joy, bonding, and plenty of merriment.

The meeting was ably presided over by our President, Engr. Ibenta Martins, where key matters were discussed for the growth and progress of our dear association.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our August celebrants for their warm hosting and generosity.

Grand Finale of “Pad a Girl Child & Improve Hygiene for Boy Child Initiative” at St. Joseph Parish, Temp Site, Awka.

The Young Catholic Professionals (YCP), Awka, successfully concluded the impactful outreach program titled “Pad a Girl Child & Improve Hygiene for Boy Child Initiative,” an initiative championed by the YCP Queen, Miss Orji Chinonso Immaculate. The grand finale was held at St. Joseph Parish Church, Unizik Temp Site, Awka.

This final phase marked a significant milestone in the series of outreaches aimed at promoting personal hygiene, building confidence, and empowering young boys and girls with essential life knowledge. The event witnessed active participation from children within the parish, creating an engaging and impactful atmosphere.

The session featured insightful teachings from Engr. Mr. Chika Ngoboli Arpa, who spoke on the importance of personal hygiene and its role in healthy living and self-confidence. Miss Aniche Ijeoma Cynthia also delivered an enlightening session, further educating the children on proper hygiene practices and encouraging them to adopt healthy habits in their daily lives.

The initiative received strong support from the parish leadership. Special appreciation goes to the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Louis Nwobi, and the Vicar, Rev. Fr. Lawrence Akwuba, for granting the opportunity and for their continuous support towards the success of the project.

The YCP President, Engr. Mr. Martins Ibenta, alongside members of the Young Catholic Professionals, contributed immensely to the successful ex*****on of the initiative. Their dedication and support played a key role in achieving the objectives of the program.

As part of the closing activities, educational and welfare materials, sanitary pads, books, pens, and rulers. were distributed to the children. The event concluded on a joyful note with moments of merriment, as the children expressed their appreciation.

The “Pad a Girl Child & Improve Hygiene for Boy Child Initiative” stands as a testament to YCP’s commitment to community development, youth empowerment, and the promotion of healthy living.

The Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) St. Joseph Parish, Unizik Temp. Site paid a courtesy and congratulatory visit to the Honorable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Mrs. Chinyere Esther Onyekesi, in celebration of her recent appointment.

During the visit, the YCP President, Engr. Martins Ibenta, expressed heartfelt congratulations to the Honourable Commissioner on behalf of the association. In his speech, he noted that even before her appointment, she had always been a mother figure to the YCP family. He emphasized the group’s joy and pride in her achievement, stating that the visit was not only to celebrate her but also to reaffirm YCP St. Joseph Parish, Unizik Temp. Site’s readiness to partner with the Ministry for the growth and betterment of the state.

In her response, Hon. Mrs. Chinyere Esther Onyekesi warmly appreciated the visit and kind words from the YCP members. She encouraged the youths to remain committed to impactful and positive engagements, highlighting the important role young people play in societal development. She also expressed her delight at YCP’s willingness to collaborate with the Ministry, noting that it is proactive and dedicated youths like them that the state looks forward to working with.

The visit was indeed a moment of encouragement, unity, and shared vision for a better society.

YCP TEMP SITE JULY MEETING.

YCP… Arise and Shine.

Yesterday marked our highly engaging and spirit-filled July Monthly Meeting at the YCP Temp Site. It was indeed a memorable gathering, graciously hosted by our joyful July celebrants, who also went for Thanksgiving during the Church Service to appreciate God for the gift of life.

The meeting was further enriched by the presence of our amiable Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Louis Nwobi , who visited and encouraged us to remain steadfast in our good works and commitment to the growth of the Church and society. We were also delighted to receive a visit from a newly ordained seminarian, who stopped by to greet and share in our fellowship.

In the spirit of growth and unity, we were pleased to warmly receive and welcome new members into the YCP family, making the gathering even more special.

Our President, Engr. Martins Ibenta, ably led the meeting by treating the agenda with clarity and purpose, while our vibrant members contributed insightful ideas and meaningful suggestions geared towards the progress of our noble association.

The highlight of the day was the atmosphere of love and celebration that followed, as the July celebrants treated everyone to a delightful time of merriment, with plenty of food and drinks to go round. It was truly a moment of bonding, joy, and gratitude.

We thank God for the success of the meeting and pray for more fruitful gatherings ahead.

The Second Outreach on “Pad a Girl Child & Improve Hygiene for Boy Child Initiative” of the 2025/2026 Face (Queen) of YCP, Miss Orji Chinonso Immaculate was successful.

The Young Catholic Professionals (YCP), St. Joseph Parish Unizik Temp. Site, Awka successfully carried out the second phase of the impactful outreach program titled “Pad a Girl Child & Improve Hygiene for Boy Child Initiative.” The visit took place today at Community Secondary School, Okpuno, Awka South.

The YCP team was warmly received by the Academic Vice Principal, Lady Okonkwo Benedict, alongside members of the school management team. The Senior Prefect, ably led by Mr. Atuegbu Kingsley, also played a significant role in welcoming the team and coordinating the students.

The event was expertly moderated by Dr. Gabriel Alonta Gabriel Chy Alonta, the Public Relations Officer of YCP, who ensured a smooth and engaging flow throughout the program. The Committee Chairman, Engr. Chika Ngobili Arpa, Ngobili Chika. delivered an insightful session on “Personal Hygiene and Growing Up in Confidence,” emphasizing the importance of self-care, discipline, and self-worth among young students.

Further enriching the session, Miss Aniche Ijeoma Cynthia educated the students on “Menstrual Health and Growing Up with Confidence.” Her presentation provided practical knowledge and broke down stigmas surrounding menstrual hygiene, empowering the students with confidence and awareness.

The interactive session that followed was highly engaging, as students actively participated by asking thoughtful questions, all of which were adequately addressed by the speakers. Their enthusiasm reflected the relevance and impact of the initiative.

The YCP Queen, Miss Orji Chinonso Immaculate, also advised the students to remain obedient to their teachers and to always seize opportunities to participate, noting that active involvement is a key part of learning and personal development.

In his remarks, the YCP President, Engr. Martin Ibenta Ibenta Martin Emeka, expressed sincere appreciation to the school's management and staff for their warm reception, and commended the students for their active participation. He also expressed gratitude to the project team for their dedication and effective coordination, and to YCP members for their support which contributed significantly to the success of the event.

The School Principal, Lady Osibe Eucharia, expressed deep gratitude to the YCP team for organizing such a meaningful and timely program. She commended the quality of the teachings and encouraged the organization to sustain the good work. She also offered prayers for all YCP members, asking for God’s continued blessings upon them.

This outreach marks another significant step in YCP’s commitment to promoting hygiene, confidence, and holistic development among young people in the community.

Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) Temp Site Awka Queen Launches “Pad a Girl Child & Improve Hygiene for Boy Child Initiative”.

In a remarkable step toward promoting health awareness and youth empowerment, the Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) Temp Site Awka Queen, Miss Orji Chinonso Immaculate, officially kicked off her impactful project titled “Pad a Girl Child & Improve Hygiene for Boy Child Initiative” on Friday, 26th June 2026.

The maiden outreach of this noble initiative was held at Girls Secondary School, Amaenyi Awka, where students and staff warmly received the Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) delegation. The Vice Principal, Mrs. Onyeikwuanyi Amaka, graciously welcomed the team and expressed appreciation for choosing the school as the starting point of such a meaningful campaign.

A key highlight of the visit was an engaging and educative session delivered by one of the committee members, Miss Aniche Ijeoma Cynthia. She spoke extensively on “Menstrual Health, Personal Hygiene, and Growing Up with Confidence,” equipping the students with essential knowledge and encouraging them to embrace self-care and confidence during adolescence.

Following the sensitization talk, sanitary pads and educational books titled “Twice Pardoned” and “The Secret of Happiness” were distributed to the students, further reinforcing the initiative’s commitment to both physical well-being and intellectual growth.

The event was graced by the presence of the Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) Executives, led by the President, Engr. Ibenta Martin Emeka, alongside committee members under the chairmanship of Engr.Ngobili Chika. Their participation underscored the organization’s unified support for initiatives that positively impact the younger generation.

In addition, the school’s Principal, Dr. Mrs. Ndidi Okeke, received the team in her office, where she expressed deep gratitude for the visit, commending the Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) for their thoughtful intervention and dedication to empowering young girls through education and health awareness.

The outreach marked a successful and inspiring first outing for the initiative, setting a strong foundation for future engagements. It reflects the commitment of Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) Temp Site Awka to community development, youth empowerment, and the promotion of healthy living among young people.

YCP THANKSGIVING SUNDAY & JUNE MONTHLY MEETING .

Today marked a beautiful and fulfilling conclusion to our YCP Week as we celebrated our Thanksgiving Sunday alongside our June Monthly Meeting.

The Thanksgiving Mass was filled with so much excitement, especially with the vibrant and colorful cultural thanksgiving, which added beauty and joy to the celebration.

Following the Mass, we proceeded to our monthly meeting, where our June celebrants warmly hosted us. It was truly an engaging, lively, and joyful moment for all.

Indeed, it was a perfect and happy ending to a remarkable YCP Week — filled with gratitude, unity, and celebration.

YCP WEEK 2026: A JOYFUL PICNIC EXPERIENCE AT SKLASS AWKA

Yesterday, Saturday, June 14th, marked yet another remarkable and enjoyable moment in the ongoing YCP Week celebration, as members of the Young Catholic Professionals (YCP), St. Joseph Parish, Awka (Temp Site), came together for a fun-filled picnic at SKLASS Awka.

The event was indeed a refreshing and lively gathering, filled with laughter, bonding, and exciting activities. Members and guests actively participated in various games such as the eating competition, word games, treasure hunt, apple eating contest, and many more, making the atmosphere vibrant and memorable. The presence of our special guests, YCP Repacco Nodu, added color and excitement to the entire event.

The picnic attracted notable attendees, including members of the St. Joseph Catholic Church CMO, YCP Repacco Nodu, and most especially our esteemed Patron, Mr. Marcel Manafa, who stayed throughout the event, showing his unwavering support and fatherly presence. We deeply appreciate and celebrate you, Daddy.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to the Mmemme Committee Chairman, Mr. Okafor Raphael, and his dedicated team for their excellent coordination and oversight of the YCP Week programmes, which contributed greatly to the success of this beautiful event.

Special appreciation goes to our vibrant YCP Executives, led by our President, Engr. Ibenta Martin, for their continuous efforts, leadership, and commitment to the growth and unity of the group.

To all the teams that emerged winners in the various games, we say a big congratulations! Your energy and participation truly made the event competitive and exciting.

Finally, to all YCP members of St. Joseph Parish Temp Site, we say a heartfelt thank you. Your presence, enthusiasm, and active participation are the backbone of our success. Without you, there would be no YCP Temp Site, and certainly no beautiful picnic experience like this.
