In the Apostolic Palace, Pope Leo met with representatives of the United Jewish Appeal-Federation of New York and thanked them for their work in helping vulnerable populations.

He also highlighted how in a world still wounded by division and conflict, the Second Vatican Council Declaration ‘Nostra Aetate’ called us “to move beyond past misunderstandings toward collaboration for the common good.”

Today 12th June 2026, the Youth Evangelical Team of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Awka Diocese took to the streets again to evangelise and lead souls to the friendship of Jesus Christ with its message tagged " There's no Friend Like Jesus".
In his message to all those who were within the coverage of the sound voice of the resource person, Bro. Johnbosco Nnechi charged all to utilize the opportunity of friendship that Jesus gives to all through his sacrifice and death, as that's what will guide us into manifesting our true identity as the saved of the Lord, so we won't miss heaven when the time comes.

May the Lord continually equip and sustain this evangelistic mission.

Bro. Michael Enyi Led the message on the topic "Now is the Acceptable Time", in his message he emphasized the need for all souls to seek Jesus now before it will be too late, he also categorically made it clear that there's no other place one can find safety nor life except in our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, a gentle Father and the God of all consolation, who comforts us in all our sorrows, so that we can offer others, in their sorrows, the consolation that we have received from God ourselves. Indeed, as the sufferings of Christ overflow to us, so, through Christ, does our consolation overflow.

~2 Corinthians 1:3-5

𝗗𝗢𝗡'𝗧 𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗟 𝗠𝗘 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘, 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘!!!

So many times, someone will share a personal heartache or struggle with us and all that the person will get is “I will pray for you,” and then we walk away as if we’ve done all we could.

Although praying for others is always a good thing to do, it may not be all you can do.

If you see a homeless and hungry person sitting on the cold sidewalk, do you say, “I’ll pray for you” or do you show love by bringing them a warm blanket and some food?

If your child falls down and breaks their leg, do you merely say, “I’ll pray for you,” or do you get them medical care?

When Jesus was here on earth, He met the physical needs of people before He preached to them, setting a wonderful example of “living”.

"Gods love gives" and not singing or speaking the love of the world.

“Don’t tell me about love; show me the love,” is a good motto to live by.

Matthew 25:35 tells us, “I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.” And in Matthew 25:40 we’re told, “Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

Be kind, be generous, be gracious, and let your actions speak louder than your words. Text: Matthew 7:12, Luke 10:27, 1 John 3:18, James 2:17

Love is action.
If we are truly Jesus followers, we have to do as He did.

He didn't just meet the spiritual needs of people, He also met their physical, emotional and all other everyday needs.

We need to do likewise. Sure it's good to pray for others but sometimes it needs our prayers supported by actions.

Let love lead...
