DO NOT HIDE YOUR LIGHT

““Your lives are like salt among the people. But if you, like salt, become bland, how can your ‘saltiness’ be restored? Flavorless salt is good for nothing and will be thrown out and trampled on by others. “Your lives light up the world. For how can you hide a city that stands on a hilltop? And who would light a lamp and then hide it in an obscure place? Instead, it’s placed where everyone in the house can benefit from its light. So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that your commendable works will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.”” Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭13‬-‭16‬ ‭TPT‬‬

The presence of the Spirit of Christ in the believer has made him the salt of the earth and the light of the world. You are the channel through which the Lord has chosen to salt the earth. By living out His life in you, you become the preserving and purifying influence upon the people of your world. The world in darkness around you is waiting on you to release the light of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ so that their blind eyes may be opened (2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 5:8; Philippians 2:15; 1 Thessalonians 5:5). Do not live like the unsaved! Do not hide your light!

Beloved, you have become the Lord’s poetry, a re-created person that will fulfill the destiny He has given you, for you are joined to Him, the Anointed One. Even before you were born, God planned in advance your destiny and the good works you would do to fulfill it! You are here to be a channel of everything good flowing through you to others in your world. Through you the will of God is both to be done and established here on earth. You are here to overcome the world and plant the cross of Christ in the center of your world.

THE POWER OF MARRIAGE

“Again, I give you an eternal truth: If two of you agree to ask God for something in a symphony of prayer, my heavenly Father will do it for you.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭19‬ ‭TPT‬‬

It is in marriage that the POWER OF AGREEMENT is expressly revealed and experienced. It is an eternal truth declared by our Lord that if two persons agree to ask God for something in a symphony of prayer, our heavenly Father will do it for them. Couples who live in harmony can always tap into the power of agreement anytime, anywhere and any day. But those who live otherwise deny themselves the grace provision of the power of agreement.

Another amazing power available in marriage is the POWERS OF PROCREATION (See Malachi 2:15). The man alone without the wife cannot produce an offspring. The wife alone without the husband cannot produce an offspring. But the power of procreation is activated when the two (man and wife) come together in the sacred conjugal relationship. It is the abuse of the power of procreation and rebellion to God’s order for any man and woman to engage in physical, bodily union or sexual intimacy without the binding covenant of marriage.

Also in the covenant of marriage, we have the POWER OF PARTNERSHIP.
“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.” ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4‬:‭9‬-‭12‬ ‭NLT‬‬
The power of partnership is great, but a couple in oneness with God becomes a triple-braided cord that cannot be broken.

THE PROVISION AND PURITY OF MARRIAGE

“When a man finds a wife, he has found a treasure! For she is the gift of God to bring him joy and pleasure. But the one who divorces a good woman loses what is good from his house. To choose an adulteress is both stupid and ungodly.” Proverbs‬ ‭18‬:‭22‬ ‭TPT‬‬

The Lord God Himself promised and fulfilled His promise in the provision of the institution of marriage (Genesis 2:18). The provision is the union of a man and wife. The two coming together in the covenant of marriage do not become two, but one. The provision is exclusively between male and female. Not between male and male or female and female.

The way to constantly express our gratitude to God for His love and grace for the provision of marriage, is by giving due honor to the beautiful, blessed divine provision. Those who dishonor both the process and practice of marriage reveal the depravity of their hearts and their gross ignorance of the goodness of God.

In Hebrews 13:4, it is written: “Honor the sanctity of marriage and keep your vows of purity to one another, for God will judge sexual immorality in any form, whether single or married”(TPT). It is the covenant of marriage that gives a man and wife access to the body of each other in the intimate, conjugal dimension of relationship. Without the covenant of marriage any such intimate, bodily relationship is sinful, evil, unrighteous and immoral. God will judge and punish sexual immorality in any form, whether single or married. The sanctity, purity and dignity of marriage is non-negotiable.

Let every man cleave only to his own wife and let every wife cleave only to her own husband. Let the singles (male and female) keep their bodies under subjection until the covenant of marriage gives them access to the privileges and pleasures of marriage.

THE GRACE OF MARRIAGE

“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” Genesis 2:24

Marriage is a covenant relationship of grace created and instituted by God. He is the one who said “it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” As the Creator of marriage, the Lord has given us His Word with sufficient instruction for successful marriages.

The intent and purposes of marriage are highly wired to produce the best interests of mankind. Marriage is honorable in ALL. We are all instructed in righteousness to honor the sanctity of marriage, and those who are married should keep their vows of purity to one another; for God will judge sexual immorality in any form, whether single or married.

The creational institution of marriage establishes the “one flesh” union as a divine ordinance, providing the original pattern later taken up as a redemptive sign. Our key scripture (Genesis 2:24) reveals marriage as a creational covenant sign whose fullest doctrinal meaning is unveiled in the gospel: the irrevocable union of Christ and His church. Anyone joined to the Lord Jesus is one spirit with Him (1 Corinthians 6:17). The greatest honor and privilege is to be one spirit with Jesus.

MADE RIGHTEOUS IN CHRIST

For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

Beloved in Christ, rejoice and be glad for Jesus was made righteousness unto you (1 Cor. 1:30). Through your union with Christ you are now the righteousness of God. God gifted you His righteousness through your faith in Jesus Christ. You are so fortified, so surrounded, and so protected that no being in the universe can condemn or say anything against you, because God has declared you righteous. The old sense of unworthiness and inferiority complex are gone. You now stand complete and worthy in the completeness and worthiness of your Lord Jesus Christ.

Beloved in Christ, refuse to walk in sin consciousness. Walk daily in righteousness consciousness. Believe the report of the Lord concerning your identity in Him. Boldly declare daily the reality of your being the righteousness of God in Christ; for “the righteousness of God” is not merely a private sense of peace or a moral upgrade; it is a new status granted by God, rooted in His own faithful character and covenant-keeping justice.

LIVE FROM THE SPIRIT
“For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace.” Romans 8:6

One of the amazing fruits of redemption is the regeneration or recreation of the human spirit of the believer in Christ,in God’s own perfect righteousness by the Holy Spirit (John 3:6; Ephesians 4:24). The recreated spirit is brought into permanent union with the Spirit of Christ (1 Corinthians 6:17). The Spirit realm becomes the new-normal for the new creation in Christ (Romans 8:9). But it is not automatic for the believer in Christ to begin to live from the spirit. His or her mind must be renewed such that its settled direction is toward God - trusting, loving and obeying Him. The mind must be delivered from the dominion and control of the soul and senses and delivered to the control and leadership of the Spirit. Those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit are motivated to pursue spiritual realities. They are the ones who experience true life and peace here and now!

Most of us are so accustomed to living from our souls, that when we get born again we really don’t change. We keep living from our souls while behaving religiously and using a spiritual vocabulary. Our feelings and emotions continue to dominate us and then we wonder why we aren’t seeing the promises of God come to pass in our lives. Beloved, you cannot be living from your soul and expect to experience life and peace. The mind is to be governed by the Spirit and not the flesh. The mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace!

BE CLOTHED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

“And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭24‬:‭49‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“I will send the fulfillment of the Father’s promise to you, so stay here in the city until you are clothed with the mighty power of heaven.””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭24‬:‭49‬ ‭TPT‬‬

The word translated “endued” in the King James Version of the Bible, in Greek means to be “clothed”. Clothing indicates power and authority.
The Holy Spirit within (the inner life) is the Source and supply of life. The same Holy Spirit upon is the uniform or garment of authority. When as believers we are clothed with the Holy Spirit, we have the highest authority in the universe. This is not for anything for ourselves at all, but that we may be witnesses unto Him. It is not a question of service done, but that our living relationship to Him is a witness that satisfies Him. God clothes or baptizes us with the Holy Spirit that He may be All in all.
The Greek word used for “power” in Acts 1:8, is “DUNAMIS,” and it means “miraculous power” (Strong’s Concordance). This word was also translated as “ability,” “might,” and “strength.” This clearly speaks of the presence and anointing of the Holy Spirit as being the power source in the believers’ lives. Every believer is to be clothed with power, ability, might and strength by the Holy Spirit.

It was this anointing power of the Holy Spirit that worked miracles in the life of Jesus (Acts 10:38). We receive the same Holy Spirit power, and we can expect to see it accomplish the same miraculous works that Jesus did if we will believe (John 14:12).

The Lord has empowered us to be witnesses. Witnesses simply relate to what they have experienced, thereby providing evidence to the truth of something. We are to witness in word and deed to the truth of Jesus being alive in us; and the reality of the redemption He accomplished.

BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

“And be not drunk with w**e, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;”Ephesians 5:18-19

The Christian life is impossible to live without the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the believer’s inner life. The believer is to be filled, and led by the Holy Spirit. The filling with the Holy Spirit is necessary for us to live the Christ life. All new creations are called to constantly live in the now of their lives filled with the Holy Spirit. It is the believer’s responsibility to ensure that he or she is in constant communion with the indwelling Spirit; practicing the awareness of His presence.

The Holy Spirit is the believer’s inner life. He is the Spirit of life flowing like a river within; as living waters that refreshes, strengthens, nourishes, saturates, edifies, comforts, revives, restores, renews, blesses, heals and satisfies the believer. He is the inner Spring of living waters of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

The deep and engrossing need of every believer is reliance on the Holy Spirit. He is the One who enables us from within both to will and to do of the Father’s good pleasure. He sheds abroad the love of God in our hearts so that we are able to show our fellows the same love that God has shown to us. He makes the supernatural natural in us. He does in us what Jesus did for us. He helps us discern and understand spiritual things. Therefore, my beloved in Christ, be being filled with the Holy Spirit daily and continually.

MANIFESTING THE CHRIST LIFE

“We pray that you would walk in the ways of true righteousness, pleasing God in every good thing you do. Then you’ll become fruit-bearing branches, yielding to his life, and maturing in the rich experience of knowing God in his fullness!” Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭10‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Followers of Christ are branches of Him the True Vine. The Lord is the Source of their total supply. They are called to cultivate and manifest the life of Christ in them. It is not a life of struggle or human self effort to produce a high level of morality. But rather it is intentionally, consciously and consistently yielding to the Spirit of Christ to live His ever victorious, holy and righteous life through us. The secret to the Christian life is living from the strength and resources of Christ Himself (Galatians 2:20). It is not self-improvement powered by willpower, but a life increasingly aligned with the Lord, pleasing to Him, outwardly fruitful, and inwardly deepened in the knowledge of God.

Every follower of Christ is expected to yield to the Holy Spirit who helps us to walk in the ways of true righteousness, pleasing God in every good thing we do. This is how we become fruit-bearing branches, yielding to His life, and maturing in the rich experience of knowing God in His fullness! Those who follow Christ more closely manifest both His character and charisma, His life of purity and power, and His life of peace and purpose.

MINISTERING TO THE LORD

“As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭13‬:‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Ministering to the Lord is the solemn and reverent duty or function of the believer as a Priest. In ministering to the Lord both privately and publicly we are acknowledging, testifying and expressing our gratitude for the amazing wonders of His love and grace, the overwhelming benefits of His redemption, the blessing of the presence and power of His Spirit, the gift of His word of life implanted within us, and our eternal inheritance and purpose in Him. Also in ministering to the Lord, we express our dependence on Him as the Source of our total supply.

To follow the Lord daily is to worship Him daily. Following the Lord more closely involves daily, continuous, passionate devotion in worship, praise and thanksgiving. Worship Him for He is holy and righteous. Praise Him for He is great and gracious. Thank Him for He is good and kind. Adore Him for He is glorious and wonderful.

When fasting is added to our ministering to the Lord, it is added as an act of worship. It is not a religious bribe. It is not a technique to force God’s hand but an embodied form of humility and attentiveness—creating space to seek, hear, and yield. Paired with “ministered,” fasting becomes part of personal or communal discernment: worship and self-denial function together as a kind of spiritual “listening posture.”
