Awka 1 Deanery successfully held her first General Council Meeting on the 9th of May at Our Lady of Assumption Parish, Awka.

A total of 9 parishes out of the 11 parishes in the deanery were duly represented, and the meeting ended successfully with fruitful discussions geared towards the growth and progress of the deanery.
