GRACE SMILED UPON THE ANGLICAN CHURCH OF THE GREAT COMMISSION, TODAY —17TH MAY, 2026 (SUNDAY AFTER ASCENSION)
As the Bishop of the Diocese of Etsako & Mama Etsako, His Lordship; The Rt Rev. Felix Unuokhe and Mrs. Rich-el Caroline O. Olorunfemi paid a surprise visit to the Church
In his homily titled “The Hidden Wisdom of God” (Gen. 45:4-11 cf. 1 Cor. 2:6-9, Psalm 105:16-22), the Bishop retold the story of Joseph and the challenges he faced which ultimately led to the fulfillment of the dreams God gave him.
Key notes:
• The hidden wisdom of God was hidden in the hatred of Joseph’s brothers.
• Challenges present God’s wisdom
• God’s wisdom is greater than the wisdom of men — It is always hidden in the things we go through
• Joseph lost many things but never lost the Presence of God
• One thing you need to sustain your dreams is to maintain the Presence of God
The Bishop reminded the Church of her Assignment (The Great Commission)—To bring salvation to many by the preaching of God’s word, accompanied with signs and wonders
Conclusively, His Lordship prayed for the church, for a permanent land in the Area, and for continuous growth— spiritually, numerically, financially and otherwise
