WHEN GOD HONOURS A MAN
Text: 1 Samuel 2:30 — “For them that honour me I will honour…”
Other Scriptures: Psalm 75:6–7; Daniel 6:20–23; Esther 6:1–11; 1 Samuel 16:11–13.
Introduction
Beloved, there is a level in a man's life when God Himself begins to announce him.
When God honours a man, you don't need to struggle to prove who you are. God can make people who ignored you yesterday begin to recognise you today.
David was forgotten in his father's house, but when God's time came, Samuel said, “Rise, anoint him: for this is he.” — 1 Samuel 16:12
Somebody shout: “My time of divine honour has come!”
1. GOD HONOURS THE MAN WHO HONOURS HIM
God said:
“For them that honour me I will honour.” — 1 Samuel 2:30
Divine honour is not primarily about position, money or popularity. It begins with how you treat God.
When you honour God with your life, your service, your giving, your obedience and your reverence, God takes personal responsibility for your lifting.
Joseph honoured God in the secret place, even when nobody was watching. He refused to sin against God in Potiphar's house.
Eventually, the same Joseph who was imprisoned became the man sitting next to Pharaoh.
Your secret obedience can produce public honour!
2. GOD CAN HONOUR A MAN IN THE PLACE WHERE HE WAS REJECTED
David was not considered important enough to be invited when Samuel came to Jesse's house.
Everybody was present—except David.
But hear this: the absence of man's invitation does not cancel God's agenda!
While men were overlooking David, God was preparing him.
And when the appointed time came, God brought David from the backside of the wilderness to the throne.
Psalm 75:6–7 says:
“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west… But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.”
Child of God, don't allow rejection to make you abandon your assignment.
The people who rejected you may not be the people God will use to announce you.
3. WHEN GOD HONOURS A MAN, GOD CAN TURN HIS STORY AROUN

Beloved in Christ, welcome to July 2026—your month of divine visitation, supernatural breakthroughs, and overflowing grace!

As you step into this new month, may the Lord go before you and make every crooked path straight. Every battle standing against your progress shall give way to victory. Every delay shall turn into divine acceleration, and every tear shall become a testimony.

This month, the favor of God will distinguish you. Doors that have remained closed shall open by His mighty hand. Your prayers shall receive speedy answers, your labor shall be rewarded, and your home shall be filled with peace, joy, and abundance.

"The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands." — Psalm 138:8 (KJV)

No weapon formed against you shall prosper. You shall walk in divine health, supernatural protection, uncommon wisdom, and unending blessings. Where others see obstacles, you shall experience miracles. Where others expect defeat, God will grant you victory.

Theme: *A Covenant, Not Just a Contract*

*Main Texts* : Genesis 2:24, Malachi 2:14, Ecclesiastes 4:12

*Introduction*

When people hear the word marriage, some children think it is only for adults, many youths think it is something to worry about later, and some married people think they already know everything about it. But God's Word teaches that everyone should understand His purpose for marriage because today's children are tomorrow's husbands and wives, and today's youths are tomorrow's fathers and mothers.

Marriage is not man's idea—it is God's institution. From the beginning, God established marriage.

*Genesis 2:24 says:*
"Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

God designed marriage to be a covenant, not merely a contract.

A contract is based on conditions: "If you do your part, I'll do mine." But a covenant is based on commitment: "I will remain faithful because I have made my promise before God."

That is why *Malachi 2:14* calls marriage a covenant, with God Himself as the witness.

1. *A Covenant Begins with God*

The first marriage was performed by God in the Garden of Eden. This reminds us that every successful marriage starts with God.

Without God, people rely on emotions.
With God, they rely on grace.

*Proverbs 3:5–6* says:
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart... and He shall direct thy paths."

Whether you are a child, a youth, or married, learn to put God first.

*Matthew 6:33* says:
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

A person who cannot maintain a relationship with God will find it difficult to keep lasting commitments with people.

---

2. *A Covenant Requires Faithfulness*

Faithfulness is not only for married people.

God is looking for faithful people in every stage of life.

*1 Corinthians 4:2
