DUNAMIS SEEDS OF DESTINY DEVOTIONAL FOR 3RD OCTOBER, 2026 BY DR PAUL ENENCHE

TOPIC: HINDRANCES TO THE LOVE LIFE

SCRIPTURE: And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season, we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: We have received mercy so we can administer mercy.

God is the God of love (1 John 4:8), and everything He does, He does on the platform of love. He commands us to live and love like Him. The only debt a Christian is expected to owe is the debt of love (Romans 13:8–10).

However, Scripture also shows that in the journey of love, we may be confronted with weariness. Some situations can frustrate the attempt to love; one may be willing to love, yet circumstances make it difficult.

In today’s study, we shall be looking at three hindrances to the life of love, and their remedies.

1. Love deprivation.
Love deprivation, especially in childhood, is a major cause of the lack of love demonstrated in adulthood. Deliveries are the products of deposits. It is where there has been a deposit that a demand can be made; where there has been no deposit, there can be no withdrawal. Children who grow up in a climate of total love bankruptcy grow up unable to receive love and unable to give it.

2. Human ingratitude (2 Timothy 3:2)
Doing things for people who cannot even say, ‘thank you’ applies both towards God and towards others. A poor value system is one cause of ingratitude, and a spell of forgetfulness is another. Psalm 103:1–2 says, Bless the Lord, O my soul… and forget not all his benefits.

3. Human wickedness and misbehaviour.
Ingratitude is a lack of acknowledgement; wickedness is when good done to people is met with malice and evil. David experienced this when he said, They have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love(Psalm 109:5). Human beings are our greatest assets and can also be our worst liabilities.

What then are the remedies for the hindrances to a life love?

1. God is described in Scripture as the Father of the fatherless. There is no father like Him. He can repair a shattered life and destiny. What was never deposited by an earthly parent, God can deposit Himself.

2. If God has commanded it, then do it, for the sake of your own destiny. Do not let anyone’s ingratitude affect your generosity. Do not allow anyone’s reaction determine whether the right thing should be done or not. Character is a major determinant of destiny; it is little hinges that swing big doors.
Beloved, keep doing good, remembering that no one has ever carried a single coin from earth into eternity.

REMEMBER THIS: We have received mercy so we can administer mercy.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. If you carry a wound from a loveless upbringing, bring it to God today and ask Him, as Father of the fatherless, to repair what was broken.
2. Do one good deed for someone today regardless of whether you expect any thanks in return.
3. Recall one instance where your good deed was repaid with evil; release it to God and choose to keep doing good rather than evil or retaliation.

PRAYER: Father, repair every place in me marked by love deprivation, and give me a grateful, undiscouraged heart. Help me to keep doing good even where it is met with ingratitude, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DUNAMIS SEEDS OF DESTINY DEVOTIONAL FOR 1ST OCTOBER, 2026 BY DR PAUL ENENCHE

TOPIC: THE PRACTICE OF LOVE

SCRIPTURE: Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal… Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil. 1 Corinthians 13:1–5

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It doesn’t matter what you know; until you know love, you know nothing.

Our anchor Scripture emphasizes the importance of love above all other virtues. It makes four things critically clear:

1. Speaking in tongues equals noise without love. Lovelessness drowns the voice of prayer. Hatred or unforgiveness in the heart drowns a person’s voice at the place of prayer. If you do not love your brother, sister, or neighbour, you are wasting your time at the place of prayer..

2. Insight from Scripture is a waste without love. Revelation cannot guarantee any meaningful outcome in the absence of love. Where love is absent, revelation means nothing; insight means nothing. That is why there are many people whose heads are filled with Scripture, but their lives are empty of results. It doesn’t matter what you know; until you know love, you know nothing.

3. Faith is fake without love, because faith worketh by love (Galatians 5:6). Many people say, “I believe, I have faith,” while there is bitterness in their heart towards someone, and still wonder why they are not seeing results.

4. Giving is unprofitable without love. Even giving one’s body to be burned for the sake of the gospel profits nothing without love. Giving without love equals sowing without reaping; such giving is not permitted to yield the expected harvest. 1 Corinthians 13:3

If prayer is useless without love, if revelation is a waste without love, if faith cannot work without love, and if sowing is useless without love, then nothing we do is meaningful and profitable without love.

Now, what is the practicality of love? We shall be looking at a few of them in our study today.

1. Love is very patient (1 Corinthians 13:4).
Love is both tolerant and tireless. It has a large capacity to accommodate human error. Living with a spouse requires this kind of patience.

2. Love is kind (1 Corinthians 13:4).
Love is liberal; love is not tight-fisted or stingy. A man who is tight-fisted toward his wife, children, and other loved ones is operating outside the vocabulary of love.

3. Love does not envy (1 Corinthians 13:4).
When you love people, you don’t compete with them; you commend their effort. Love does not struggle to outdo, undo, or diminish others; it struggles only to give honest expression to what God has placed within, not to create impressions.

Beloved, love is life. Walk in love, because love affects life, both in time and in eternity. Love guarantees profitability and productivity for our spirituality. Our prayer life, giving, faith, and insight are all at the mercy of our love walk.

REMEMBER THIS: It doesn’t matter what you know; until you know love, you know nothing.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Practice deliberate kindness today: share something – your time, your resources, or a kind word, with someone.
2. The next time someone else’s success or progress stirs envy in you, choose to commend their effort out loudly to them instead of criticising them.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Zechariah 1-3

PRAYER: Father, let love be the foundation of everything I do, so that none of my effort is wasted. Teach me to be patient, kind, and give me the grace to make amends where necessary, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

SCRIPTURE: _For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father._ 1 KINGS 11:4

*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A heart cannot be perfect with God while it is secretly kept for something else.*

The story of Solomon was as sad as it was inspiring. Solomon’s turning to the worship and service of other gods was the saddest part of his story.

Scripture records that when Solomon was old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not perfect with the Lord, as the heart of David his father had been (1 Kings 11:4).

He went after Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom, the abomination of the Ammonites. He did evil in the sight of the Lord and did not go fully after God, as David his father had done. He erected strange altars for all his strange wives, who burnt incense and sacrificed to their gods on those altars.

Consider these questions: how many temples did Solomon build for God? One. How many wives did he have? Seven hundred. How many shrines did he build for them? Seven hundred. This was the same Solomon who should never have been near the throne at all, given the circumstances of his birth, yet God raised him up in mercy. The same man ended up servicing seven hundred altars of idolatry.

The Lord was angry with Solomon because Solomon had turned his heart away from Him. Solomon turned his heart away from the God who appeared to him not once, but twice, and had commanded him not to go after other gods. Yet he kept not what the Lord commanded.

Many of us have never seen God face-to-face, even once; yet Solomon encountered Him twice and still turned away from Him, building shrines for his wives’ idols. Like Solomon, our departure from God may not be entirely of our own making; the wrong spouses, friends and associates around us can gradually turn our hearts away from Him.

Who is your closest friend, and in what direction are they leading you? Perhaps you married someone against all counsel, and that person is now pulling you away from God. If a spouse is stopping you from serving God, ask the Lord to unveil the truth about that person to you.

Some people maintain secret altars and shrines in their bedrooms and secretly patronise diviners, without even their own families knowing about it.

What is the use of attending church if you have not yet decided which God you truly want to serve? If Baal is your god, serve him, and if the Lord is your God, serve Him.

Do not prevaricate, do not straddle both worlds. Mixing the two is like trampling on a naked wire; some people have been electrocuted spiritually and never knew what struck them.

Beloved, prevarication is not neutrality; it is defection in slow motion. Solomon did not wake up one morning and renounce God; he simply drifted, allowing shrine after shrine to rise beside the one temple he had built, until his heart was no longer perfect with the Lord. That same drift awaits anyone who tolerates divided loyalty for the sake of peace, or for relationships they are unwilling to confront. There is no safety in hedging between God and other strange altars.

_REMEMBER THIS: A heart cannot be perfect with God while it is secretly kept for something else._

ASSIGNMENT(S):

1. Identify any area where you have been hedging your commitment to God rather than serving Him whole-heartedly.

2. Examine your closest relationships and what direction they are leading you in life.

3. Remove any hidden compromise, altar, or divided loyalty in your life without delay.

PRAYER: Father, forgive me for any form or act of spiritual prevarication in my heart. Help me to serve You whole-heartedly without any hidden allegiance. Let my heart be perfect with You, Lord in Jesus' Name.

SEEDS OF DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY DR. PASTOR PAUL ENENCHE.

DATE: TUESDAY, 29TH. SEPTEMBER, 2026.

TOPIC: THE CHARACTER MONEY REVEALS

SCRIPTURE: If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
Luke 16:11

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Money is a mirror; it does not create character, it exposes it.

Studies reveal that how a person handles financial resources is a true reflection of the state of his or her character. You cannot say anyone has character until you find out how he handles money. Money in the hands of a drug addict is different from money in the hands of a born-again child of God.

Scripture says, …the love of money is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Money itself is neither moral nor immoral; it is neutral. It is the person who handles money that determines whether it is used for good or for evil.

Many Christians are only different from unbelievers in church attendance. As far as money and other dealings are concerned, they behave like unbelievers. It is in money matters that the Christianity of a person can be authenticated. No wonder, our Master Jesus said, Ye cannot serve God and mammon (Matthew 6:24).

The problem is not you having money, but money having you. There are people who own money, and there are people money owns. It is a wonderful thing to master money, but a terrible thing to be mastered by money.

One major dimension of financial integrity is faithfulness in financial dealings. Joseph demonstrated this in Potiphar's house. He was serving Potiphar, a high-ranking officer in Egypt, and Potiphar entrusted him with everything in his house, holding back nothing except the food he (Potiphar) ate (Genesis 39:6).

Today, many relationships have been destroyed because of money. There are people who cannot be entrusted with money without complaints arising afterwards.
Everything you do in life is rating you for your future and destiny. Whether you work for the government, for a company, or for a ministry, you are preparing yourself for your future.
Many people have not been able to access the true riches of God. It seems God has turned His back on them regarding financial authority, because of how they have handled money and other responsibilities in the past. Remember the saying of Jesus: If you have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?
(Luke 16:12).
No one truly works for another person; you work for yourself. Everything you do prepares you for your future, whether it is faithfulness in money matters or faithfulness in another person's business. Your financial integrity and faithfulness in other things determine your next level of blessing.
Beloved, money is a mirror; it does not create character, it exposes it. What you do with what belongs to another man today is God's preview of what He can entrust you with tomorrow. Refuse cheating, double-dealing, and dishonest gain. Be faithful in managing what belongs to others because the true riches of the Kingdom are reserved for those whose character passed the test of unrighteous mammon.
REMEMBER THIS: Money is a mirror; it does not create character, it exposes it.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Refuse every form of cheating and dishonest financial dealings.
2. Be faithful in handling every financial responsibility entrusted to you.
3. Ask God to help you master money instead of allowing money to master you.

PRAYER: Father, I receive the grace to walk in financial integrity. Deliver me from every form of dishonest dealing, and make me faithful in little as well as in much, Lord, in Jesus' Name

DUNAMIS SEEDS OF DESTINY DEVOTIONAL FOR 26TH SEPTEMBER, 2026 BY DR PAUL ENENCHE

TOPIC: THE DANGER OF A SILENT ALTAR.

SCRIPTURE: And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.
Judges 16:20

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Activity without intimacy with God is calamity.

The story of Samson presents a true picture of what happens when a man possesses great strength without a functional altar of relationship with God. Samson had no prayer life, no study of the Word, no fasting, no devotion.

But Matthew 6:33 admonishes us to, "...seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;" Samson came to the point where he was running from one strange woman to another, and the worst of all, was Delilah. He was moving from war to war and had no time for prayer.

You will never see an occasion in Scripture where it says, "And Samson prayed," except when in terrible crises. The first was when he was dying of thirst. The other time was when he was already in prison, his eyes plucked out, chained, and crying for mercy. Apart from those two moments, there is no other record of Samson saying, "Lord, I worship You." Not even once.

The truth is that activity without intimacy is calamity. A pastor may be so busy that he has no time to fast, no time to pray, no time to study the Word of God for his own feeding. Show me a person who is so busy that he has no time with God, and I will show you a disaster waiting to happen.

A woman once asked her husband, "You are not praying like you used to." He replied, "Those times I prayed a lot were the times I was struggling; now things are better." Imagine the mentality!

Logically and spiritually speaking, the time you think things are better is the time to pray the most, because the devil is watching out for how to tackle you. There is always an unusual calmness before mighty storms.

The worst thing that can happen to a minister of God is to move from altar to altar, engagement to engagement, without ever pausing to hear anything from God for himself.

No one can survive by continuing to breathe out without breathing in. Many are burnt out, whether preachers or worship leaders, because the Lord has left them, yet they are unaware. Activity continues regardless. The Bible says Samson went out as at other times; he knew not that the Spirit had departed from him. He was unaware, still acting as though nothing had changed.

Beloved, a silent altar is dangerous, not because God has stopped speaking, but because we have stopped seeking and listening. Samson's strength never left him in physical appearance, but the Spirit that once empowered every exploit had quietly departed, and he did not notice. Do not let your gifting outrun your relationship with God. The moment your altar of communion with Him goes silent, ask Him not merely to keep speaking, but to return.

REMEMBER THIS: Activity without intimacy with God is calamity.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Examine your prayer life honestly: is it thriving, or it has gone silent beneath the noise of activity?
2. Set aside undistracted time this week to seek God for yourself, not for what to preach to others.
3. If you sense distance from God, ask Him to return.

PRAYER: Father, forgive me for every lukewarm altar in my life. Let my relationship with You never be replaced by activity, however good it seems. Restore my true intimacy with You and let Your Spirit remain evidently active upon my life, Lord in Jesus' Name.

DUNAMIS SEEDS OF DESTINY DEVOTIONAL FOR 25TH SEPTEMBER, 2026 BY DR PAUL ENENCHE

TOPIC: STAY WITHIN YOUR CALLING.

SCRIPTURE: But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the Lord his God, and went into the temple of the Lord to burn incense upon the altar of incense.
2 Chronicles 26:16

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Every calling in God is a high calling; the pitfall is not in your calling, but in elevating yourself to a different one.

Uzziah was a king, yet he elevated himself to a calling that was not his; he arrogated to himself the office of a priest.

This is a warning every one of us must take seriously: elevating yourself to a different calling or arrogating to yourself a calling that God never gave you, is a destructive pitfall on the journey of destiny.
I have seen successful businessmen mess up their lives by branching into politics.

Suddenly, they step in because they think that is where to be. Soon, they become entangled in corrupt dealings, and the millions and billions they once possessed begin to disappear. In the end, people conclude that all their wealth was what they stole from the government, forgetting that they were already financially established before entering public office.

It is possible that God can call you first into business and then lead you into a political calling, but it is not compulsory. Whatever your call is, remain there.
When Jacob was brought before Pharaoh, Jacob blessed Pharaoh. In his heart he knew he was higher than Pharaoh, who was like the king of the world at the time.

But Jacob knew he carried a patriarchal mantle, the mantle from Abraham, his grandfather, passed on to him through Isaac, his father. Joseph set Jacob, his father before Pharaoh, and Jacob blessed Pharaoh, for the Bible says, “The less is blessed of the better.” (Hebrews 7:7). Though Pharaoh had money, influence, and land, Jacob knew he was higher than he, notwithstanding.

When people don't know who they are, they mess themselves up, stepping up and down in the name of one thing or another. Wherever God has planted you, in business, in ministry, in politics, or in diplomacy, know exactly what is yours.

David was a king, a priest and a prophet; therefore, it is possible for callings to overlap. On occasion, God entrusts individuals with multiple mantles, but each must be clearly understood.

Do not do things because others are doing them, or because you have been forced into doing them; Do things because you know God has called you to do them.

Beloved, Uzziah's tragedy was not that he lacked a calling; he already had one, and it was a high one, he was a king over the kingdom of Judah. His downfall came the day he reached for what belonged to another. Whatever God has called you to, honour it as a high calling, and refuse the temptation to arrogate to yourself what has not been given to you.

Everyone should face their calling. Every calling in God is a high calling, whether your call is to full-time Ministry, business, political leadership, or whatever it is. That which God has called you to is a high calling; face it!

REMEMBER THIS: Every calling in God is a high calling; the danger is not in where God has placed you, but in reaching for a place He has not.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Reflect on whether you are operating within your calling or reaching for one that isn't yours.
2. Honour the place God has planted you, whether in business, ministry, or leadership.

PRAYER: Father, help me to know exactly what You have called me to do, and give me the grace to remain faithful there. Let me never arrogate to myself a calling that is not mine, Lord in Jesus' Name.
