*ABOVE ONLY DAILY DEVOTIONAL*

*BY: ARCHBISHOP M. E. BENSON IDAHOSA*

*SATURDAY MAY 2ND, 2026.*

*YOU OPERATE SUPERNATURAL WISDOM (2)*

*Proverbs 11:30, Daniel 12:3, Proverbs 3:5-6*

*The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. *And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. *Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.*

God’s ways and thoughts are higher than the ways and thoughts of man. As His word fills our lives, by His ways and thoughts our lives become supernaturally fruitful, (Isa.55:8-11).

God’s definition of wisdom or being wise exceeds that of man. One of God’s definitions of someone wise is winning souls and turning many to righteousness. Preaching the Gospel of Christ may look like foolishness to the world, but that’s the way God has chosen to save men. Christ is the wisdom and power of God. The foolishness of God is wiser than men, (1 Cor. 1:18-25). Let the desire to win souls by preaching the Gospel of Christ always burn in your heart like wildfire.

Another way God defines wisdom is by reverencing and acknowledging Him in our lives. A fool is someone who doesn’t acknowledge God in his heart (Psa. 14:1). To fear God is to reverence and acknowledge God. It makes us depart from evil and keeps us from danger (Job 28:28, Prov. 3:7, Prov. 14:27, Prov. 16:6). Like Daniel and the three Hebrew boys, as you reverence and acknowledge God in all your ways, you shall be ten times better than your equals (Dan. 1:8, 19-20). Your life will be filled with the many blessings that come with the wisdom that is from above (James 3:17-18).

*Prayer:*
Dear Father, I thank you for the grace you have given me to always preach the Gospel and always reverence and acknowledge you.

*FRIDAY MAY 1ST, 2026.*

*YOU OPERATE BY SUPERNATURAL WISDOM (1)*

*Mark 6:2-3*

*And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, …? And they were offended at him.*

When Jesus was on the earth, He operated by supernatural wisdom. By virtue of His life in you, you also operate by supernatural wisdom. “Christ has become your wisdom,” (1 Cor. 1:30). You function by the wisdom of Christ, for you have the mind of Christ (1Cor.2:16).

Solomon operated in great wisdom, and he is considered the wisest man that ever lived; but the wisdom of Christ far exceeds that of Solomon, (Matt.12:42). Daniel was described as one having the spirit of the gods and the wisdom of the gods (Dan.5:11, 14), but you have the Spirit of Christ (Rom.8:9) and the wisdom of Christ. As you keep focusing on Christ and filling yourself with the revelation of Christ, the wisdom of Christ in you, will grow and manifest more and more.

Wisdom helps you build/produce great things and great lives (Prov. 24:3), and wisdom strengthens you, (Prov. 24:5). Wisdom is better than weapons of war, (Eccl. 9:18). By the supernatural wisdom of Christ, you shall be strong and you shall do great and mighty works that will amaze many. As Jesus always knew what to do (John 6:6), you shall always know what to do. You shall never be confused in life. Whenever you need practical wisdom for any situation, pray in faith and ask God for it. He will abundantly fill you with it (James 1:5).

*Faith Declaration:*
By virtue of the life of Christ in me, I operate by supernatural wisdom. I make great impact and do mighty exploits.

*THE STRENGTH AND SPEED OF THE SPIRIT IS UPON YOU*

*Judges 15:14-15 (LB), 1Kings 18:46 (LB)*

*As Samson and his captors arrived at Lehi, … the strength of the Lord came upon Samson, and the ropes with which he was tied snapped like thread and fell from his wrists! Then he picked up a donkey’s jawbone that was lying on the ground and killed a thousand Philistines with it. *and the Lord gave special strength to Elijah so that he was able to run ahead of Ahab’s chariot to the entrance of the city!*

In the same way that people were wondering and asking what the source of Samson’s strength was, people shall wonder and ask about the source of your strength and speed. By the strength and speed of the Spirit, you will find yourself performing beyond your human strength and limitations. You shall overcome great challenges and make great impact by the supernatural power of the Spirit at work in your life. And your results will attract people to know and put their faith in Christ. Your testimonies will stir up faith in the lives of others.

Ahab had not only gone ahead of Elijah, he went with his chariots. But by the power of the Spirit, Elijah outran Ahab and his chariots. By the strength and speed of the Spirit, you will run, you will overtake and you will take over. It was by the Spirit of God that Bezaleel was filled with wisdom, understanding and knowledge in all manner of skills needed for the constructing the tabernacle, (Exo.31:1-5). It was by the Spirit Joseph provide baffling economic solutions for Egypt’s economy, (Gen.41:37-40). The Spirit of God will make you more creative and resourceful in every area of your life. Samson used the jaw bone of an ass that was lying around to win a battle some armies may not have won with sophisticated weapons. With your available resources, you will achieve more by the Spirit, than people with better resources.

*Faith Declaration:*
The strength and speed of the Spirit are upon me. I overcome my human limitations and I produce great results on time.

*CGMI WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY*

*WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29TH, 2026*

*HOLY, BLAMELESS, AND WITHOUT FAULT IN CHRIST*

*TEXTS: COLOSSIANS 1:21–23, EPHESIANS 1:3–4, ROMANS 8:1–4, 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17–21, HEBREWS 10:10–14*

*KEY VERSE: COLOSSIANS 1:22, “But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation.”*

*INTRODUCTION:*
Through the finished work of Jesus Christ, believers have been given a new identity, one that is not earned, but graciously given. In God’s eyes, we are holy, blameless, and without fault, not because of what we have done, but because of what Jesus has accomplished on our behalf.

*QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION*
1. What does it mean to be holy, blameless, and without fault in Christ?
-It means we have been set apart and made clean through the blood of Jesus. (Hebrews 10:10, 14)
-It reflects our new standing before God—free from condemnation. (Romans 8:1)
-It is not about perfection in our own strength, but about being covered by Christ’s righteousness. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

2. How did Jesus make this identity possible for us?
-He reconciled us to God through His death. (Colossians 1:21–22)
-He chose us in love to be holy and blameless before time began. (Ephesians 1:4)
-He bore our sins and fulfilled the righteous requirement of the law. (Romans 8:3–4)
-He made a once-for-all sacrifice that perfected forever those being made holy. (Hebrews 10:14)

3. How can we walk in this truth every day?
-By renewing our minds with God’s Word and rejecting lies of condemnation. (Romans 12:2)
-By reminding ourselves of our identity in Christ and declaring it in faith. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
-By living out holiness through the power of the Spirit. (Galatians 5:16)
-By extending grace to ourselves and others, as God has done for us. (Colossians 3:12–13)

*CONCLUSION:*
In Christ, you are made new; holy, blameless, and without fault by grace, not performance. Live from this truth, not for it; let His glory shine through your transformed life.

*TUESDAY APRIL 28TH, 2026*

*HOW TO BE SAFE FROM DECEPTION*

*EPHESIANS 4:14-15, JOHN 8:31-32*

*That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: …If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.*

One of the signs Jesus gave of the end times, is that there will be many false Christs and false prophets who will be out to deceive people, (Matt. 24:24). The devil’s major weapon against us is wiles (lies and tricks). The best way we can protect ourselves from the devil’s diverse onslaught of deception against us is for us to be committed to knowing and growing in the truth of Christ.

As Paul departed the church at Ephesus, he warned the leaders of the church to beware of grievous wolves who will come among them and not spare the flock. He recommended that they stay focused on the revelation of the grace of God, which will build them up and make them experience their inheritance in Christ, (Acts 20:24-32, Col.3:16).

The best way to discern a fake/lie is to be very conversant with the original/truth. A believer who is not deliberately focusing on Christ and growing spiritually is unconsciously exposing himself to deception and exploitation (Col.2:8, 16-23). As we grow and mature spiritually, we are better able to discern between good and evil, (Heb.5:11-14). Spiritual maturity is measured by how much our lives conform to Christ. As we focus on Christ, the Spirit of God transforms us from glory to glory into the image of Christ (2Cor.3:18).

*PRAYER:*
Heavenly Father, please help me to keep knowing Christ and growing into the full stature of Christ by your Spirit.

*PRAY FERVENTLY FOR FELLOW BELIEVERS*

*COLOSSIANS 4:12, EPHESIANS 6:18, LUKE 22:31-32a*

*Epaphras, … is one of you…, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. *Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; *…Simon… Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee*

Praying for others is something that should always be a part of our prayer time; especially for fellow believers. In Romans 1:9, Paul said, “For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;” In Ephesians 1:15-16 he said, “Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;” Epaphras did not just pray for others, he laboured fervently in prayers for others. Do you know that when Jesus was on the earth, He prayed fervently for all His disciples and followers; including you and me who will come to know Him? (John 17:20) After doing that, Jesus is still interceding for us right now before God the Father, (Heb.7:25). Jesus’ prayer for Peter prevented Peter from being sifted as wheat by the devil.

Pray for new converts. Pray for me. Pray for the church and all ministers of the Gospel. Pray prayers based on the revelation of Christ. Pray based on the things you are aware other believers are going through even in other nations. Pray for God’s strength and intervention in their lives. Spend time praying in the Spirit for other believers. You may not know the great help, power, blessings and glory of God your prayers are causing to manifest in the lives of other believers.

*ACTION POINT:*
Pray in the Spirit and ask God to help believers around you stand perfect and complete in His will for their lives.

*FRIDAY, APRIL 24TH, 2026*

*PRAY FOR THE SALVATION OF THE LEADERS OF OUR NATION*

*1 TIMOTHY 2:1-4*
*I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.*

As we pray for the salvation of all men, it is important that we also pray specifically for the salvation of our leaders and influential people in general.

Many times, it can seem difficult to reach leaders and influential people with the Gospel of Christ. The challenges of their position/responsibilities as well as the kind of advisers around them can also pose a hindrance. But as we pray for their salvation, the grace of God that brings salvation will appear to them. The glorious light of the Gospel of Christ will shine on them. Just like Paul, many of them are going to have a Damascus Road encounter with Jesus, (Acts 9:1-6).

When leaders and influential people get saved, they will lead well and make policies that will lead to societal growth and development as well as the spread of the Gospel of Christ. They will influence people positively and in the right path. When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice, (Prov.29:2). God can make those in authority become saved and righteous. This is why we must pray for their salvation. As we speak truth to power and hold our leaders accountable, we must not forget to pray for them; especially for their salvation. God loves them too and God is counting on us to pray for their salvation.

*PRAYER:*
*FATHER, WE PRAY FOR THE SALVATION OF LEADERS AND PEOPLE OF INFLUENCE. MAY THE LIGHT OF THE GOSPEL SHINE UPON THEIR HEARTS, AMEN🙏🏽.*

*DO IT OUT OF LOVE AND PASSION FOR GOD*

*JOHN 20:17 (NIV), JOHN 3:16 (TPT)*

*The third time he said to him, “Simon…do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my sheep. *For this is how much God loved the world—he gave his one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.*

Jesus could have simply told Peter to feed His sheep. But Jesus first had to ask three times if Peter loved Him, because God wants everything we do for Him to be motivated by our love for Him; which is an outflow or response to our receiving His great love for us. Whatever we do for God that is not born out of love for God is nothing before God, (1Cor.13:1-3). The Bible doesn’t just say God will not forget our labour; it says God will not forget our labour of love, (Heb.6:10).

God doesn’t want our preaching the Gospel or anything else we do for Him to be motivated by any fear of punishment or because we want to gain recognition or favour from men. What motivated God to send Jesus to save the world was His great love for all men and this must also be our motivation to preach the Gospel and do all we do for God.

God showed us His great love by sending Jesus to die for us even when we were still sinners, (Rom.5:8). Just as God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not counting men’s sins against them, He has also committed unto us the message of reconciliation, (2Cor.5:19). Do not be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God that makes men experience God saving and intervening power in their lives, (Rom.1:16).

*PRAYER:*
Father, I thank you for the great love you have shown me in Christ. May this your love drive me in all I do for you.
