🔥The Mosquito Net With One Small Hole.

🔥A young couple in Port Harcourt had waited almost nine years for a child. There had been prayers, hospital visits, disappointments, miscarriages and many nights when the wife cried herself to sleep. Then finally, their miracle came—a beautiful baby boy. They named him Testimony.

The child became the joy of the entire family. His mother hardly allowed mosquitoes near him. She boiled his water, washed his clothes separately and kept his room carefully protected. Above his little cot hung a mosquito net she checked almost every evening.

One night, while tucking the net underneath the mattress, she noticed a tiny tear near the corner. It was barely the size of her fingertip. She called her husband. “Please, remind me tomorrow. I need to sew this place.” He looked at it and smiled. “That tiny thing? Mosquito cannot even find that place.” They laughed.

Tomorrow came. Nobody remembered.
Days passed.
Occasionally, she noticed the hole again. “I really need to sew this thing.” But the baby would cry, somebody would call, food needed cooking, clothes needed washing, life would happen—and the little hole remained.

One evening, her mother visited and noticed it. “My daughter, mend this net.” She replied, “Mummy, I know. I will do it tonight.”

She forgot. Several weeks later, the baby developed a fever.

At first, they were not worried. Children sometimes develop fever. They gave him what they normally gave him and expected it to pass. But by midnight, his temperature had risen dangerously.

They rushed him to the hospital.
The doctor admitted him immediately.
Malaria had become severe.

The mother sat beside the hospital bed throughout the night, holding the tiny hand of the child she had waited nine years to carry. His breathing became weaker. Doctors moved in and out. Nurses came repeatedly. She prayed. Her husband prayed. They called their pastor. Family members began praying.

Then, sometime before dawn, everything became terribly quiet.

The doctor walked toward them.
The mother knew from his face before he opened his mouth.
She screamed. Her husband held her as her knees gave way.

They returned home later without the child they had carried to the hospital.

His little cot was still beside their bed.
His clothes were still hanging.
His feeding bottle was still where she had left it.

Then she saw the mosquito net.
She walked toward it slowly. And there it was.

The hole. Still small. Still insignificant-looking. Still barely the size of her fingertip.
She touched it and suddenly began screaming again.

Her husband rushed into the room and found her sitting on the floor clutching the net.

Between tears she kept repeating:

“I saw it. I saw it. I saw it.”
Not, “I didn’t know.”
Not, “Nobody warned me.”
Not, “I never noticed.”
“I saw it.”
Her mother had even warned her.
All it required was a needle, a little thread and perhaps two minutes.

But what would have taken two minutes to repair became something a lifetime of tears could never reverse.

📍That is the frightening thing about neglect.
Sometimes what destroys something precious does not enter through a gigantic door.

📍It enters through the little hole you kept promising yourself you would close tomorrow.

👉A marriage may not begin dying with adultery; sometimes it begins with small hurts nobody discusses.

👉Financial ruin may not begin with millions lost; sometimes it begins with little expenses nobody controls.

👉A child may not suddenly become distant; sometimes years of little moments when nobody listened finally become silence.

👉Spiritual collapse may not begin when someone leaves God; sometimes it begins with one prayerless day that quietly becomes a prayerless lifestyle.

📍Destiny does not always bleed from enormous wounds. Sometimes it bleeds slowly through little openings.

Pay attention to the small things.
The little apology.
The little discipline.
The little warning.
The little debt.
The little compromise.
The little resentment.
The little distance.
The little crack.
The little hole.

📍Some of tomorrow’s greatest tears can still be prevented by something very small you choose to fix today.

🔥 THE GREATEST LOSSES BEGIN WITH LITTLE NEGLECTS. PAY ATTENTION TO THE SMALL THINGS.

📖 Text Scripture: “Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.” — Song of Solomon 2:15 (KJV)

📍The greatest losses in life rarely begin looking great. They often enter disguised as something small enough to postpone. One neglected conversation. One unpaid debt. One ignored warning. One uncorrected attitude. One little compromise. One prayerless day. One unresolved offence. The tragedy is that small problems are often easiest to correct at the beginning, yet we postpone them until they acquire consequences bigger than our excuses. Never confuse something being small with something being harmless.

📍Scripture calls them “little foxes” because destruction does not always arrive as a roaring lion. Samson’s downfall developed through compromises he repeatedly entertained. David’s disaster with Bathsheba began with seemingly small decisions before becoming adultery, deception and death. Solomon’s heart did not turn away from God overnight; compromise accumulated. Satan understands accumulation. If he cannot destroy something immediately, he will often encourage you to neglect it gradually.

📍Pay attention to whatever keeps disturbing your conscience. Fix the little hole. Make the call. Have the conversation. Apologize. Pay attention to your child. Control the spending. Correct the attitude. Return to prayer. End the inappropriate conversation. Restore the discipline. Never become so busy managing life that you neglect what is quietly threatening it. Some of tomorrow’s greatest regrets can still be prevented by one small act of obedience today.

🔥 Let this be your cry today:

• Lord, expose every little neglect in my life.
• Give me wisdom to recognize warning signs.
• Deliver me from procrastinating necessary corrections.
• Help me guard everything You have entrusted to me.
• Give me grace to act before small problems become great losses.

✅ Kingdom Principle:
What you neglect when it is small may confront you when it becomes great.
📍Little openings can produce enormous consequences.
📍Early correction is cheaper than painful restoration.

🔥 MAY I REMIND YOU THAT…:

1. Great losses often begin with little neglects.
2. Small does not always mean harmless.
3. What you repeatedly postpone may eventually become expensive.
4. Warning signs are mercies—pay attention to them.
5. Neglect turns manageable problems into painful emergencies.
6. Some future tears can still be prevented today.

🔥 MAXIMS FOR LIFE:

1. Fix the little hole before you mourn what entered through it.
2. Neglect is expensive interest on small problems.
3. What takes minutes to correct today may take years to recover tomorrow.
4. Never become comfortable with what wisdom is warning you about.
5. Great collapses often have very small beginnings.
6. Pay attention to the small things; precious things depend on them.

🤔 Reflection:

• What little thing have I repeatedly promised myself I would fix?
• What warning have I noticed but continued to postpone?
• What precious thing could my present neglect eventually cost me?

📦 Life Application:
1. Identify one neglected matter and address it today.
2. Have one conversation you have been postponing.
3. Correct one small habit before it grows.
4. Respond immediately to one conviction you have ignored.

🙏 Prayer:

Father, deliver me from costly neglect. Open my eyes to every little thing demanding attention and give me grace to act quickly. Preserve everything You have entrusted to me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

🛎️ DECLARE BOLDLY:
“I refuse to lose great things through little neglects! My eyes are open, my heart is sensitive, and my spirit is alert. I will respond to warnings, correct what must be corrected and protect what God has entrusted to me. I will not postpone today what could preserve my tomorrow!”

🔥The Boy Who Brought Home a Lion Cub!

📍A young farmer returning from his farm found a tiny lion cub crying beside a bush. Its mother had apparently been killed by hunters. The cub looked helpless—hungry, frightened and barely strong enough to walk. Out of compassion, the farmer carried it home.

His elderly father was alarmed. “Take that animal away,” he warned. “What you are carrying may look harmless today, but remember what it is, a lion.”

The young man laughed. “Papa, look at it. This thing cannot even hurt a chicken.”

He began feeding it milk. His children played with it. They gave it a name. It slept near the goats and followed the family around the compound like a dog. Neighbours warned him repeatedly, but he always gave the same answer: “I raised it. It knows me.”

Months passed.

The cub became bigger.

Soon, it stopped drinking milk and started eating meat. Its claws became stronger. Its playful bites became painful. One afternoon it killed a chicken. The farmer beat it lightly and laughed. “Bad boy.”

Weeks later, it killed a goat.

His father confronted him again. “What else must die before you understand what you brought into this house?”

But by then the farmer had become emotionally attached to the animal. “Papa, I know how to control it.”

One evening, while the farmer was away, screams came from the compound. The lion had attacked one of the children who had grown up playing with it. By the time neighbours rushed in, the little boy was badly injured.

The farmer returned and froze when he saw blood on the ground.

His father stood beside him with tears in his eyes and said quietly, “My son, the lion did not enter this compound today. You carried it here when it was small.”

That sentence broke him.

The tragedy had not begun that evening.

It began months earlier when something dangerous looked harmless enough to tolerate.

That is how many destructive things enter our lives.

👉Bitterness begins as one offence.
👉Lust begins as one unchecked look.
👉Debt begins as one careless financial decision.
👉Disrespect begins as one tolerated insult.
👉Laziness begins as one postponed responsibility.
👉Compromise begins as one exception.
👉A destructive relationship begins with one ignored warning.

Be careful what you keep feeding simply because it has not bitten you yet.

Some things are easier to kill as cubs than to fight as lions.

📖 Text Scripture: “Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!” — James 3:5 (KJV)

📍One of the most dangerous words in life is “only.” It is only one lie.
Only one compromise.
Only one inappropriate conversation.
Only one missed prayer.
Only one uncontrolled temper.
Only one careless expense.
Satan understands the power of gradualism. What cannot conquer you immediately may first ask you merely to tolerate it. Then tolerance becomes familiarity, familiarity becomes permission, permission becomes habit, and habit eventually becomes bo***ge.

📍Scripture repeatedly shows us that tolerated things grow. Samson kept entertaining what was weakening him until Delilah finally destroyed his advantage. Solomon tolerated relationships that gradually turned his heart away from God. Achan secretly kept what God had forbidden, and what looked like private disobedience eventually brought public disaster. Never measure danger only by its present size. A seed may fit inside your palm while carrying a tree you may later struggle to uproot.

📍Deal with things while they are still small. Confront the attitude.
End the compromise.
Correct the disrespect.
Break the habit.
Leave the wrong environment.
Close the inappropriate door.
Apologize where necessary.
Restore your discipline.
Do not keep negotiating with what God has already told you to remove. Some battles become unnecessarily difficult because we waited until the cub became a lion. Whatever threatens your peace, purity, purpose, marriage, faith, finances or destiny—deal with it before it develops the strength to deal with you.

🔥 Let this be your cry today:

• Lord, expose every dangerous tolerance in my life.
• Give me courage to confront what must change.
• Deliver me from hidden compromises.
• Help me close every wrong door early.
• Give me discipline to protect my future.

✅ Kingdom Principle:

What you continually tolerate, you gradually authorize.

📍Small compromises can grow into powerful bo***ges.

📍Deal with the seed before you are forced to fight the tree.

🔥 WHAT YOU TOLERATE TODAY MAY DOMINATE YOU TOMORROW. KILL IT BEFORE IT GROWS.

🔥 MAY I REMIND YOU THAT…:

1. Every lion was once small enough to carry.
2. Tolerance can quietly become permission.
3. What you excuse repeatedly will eventually become normal.
4. Small compromises rarely remain small.
5. Boundaries are easier to establish before bo***ge develops.
6. Never feed what you will eventually need strength to fight.

🔥 MAXIMS FOR LIFE:

1. Kill the cub before you have to fight the lion.
2. What you tolerate today may command you tomorrow.
3. Small doors can admit great destruction.
4. Never call harmless what wisdom calls dangerous.
5. Early correction prevents expensive consequences.
6. Whatever you keep feeding will eventually grow.

🤔 Reflection:

• What have I been tolerating that I should be confronting?

• Which “small” compromise is quietly becoming a habit?

• What must I stop feeding today?

📦 Life Application:

1. Identify one destructive tolerance in your life.
2. Take one decisive action against it today.
3. Establish a clear boundary where you have been careless.
4. Stop excusing what you already know must change.

🙏 Prayer:
Father, expose every dangerous tolerance in my life. Give me courage to confront wrong patterns early and wisdom to protect what You have entrusted to me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

🛎️ DECLARE BOLDLY:
“I will not nurture what was sent to destroy me! I confront every wrong habit, compromise and pattern while it is still small. I walk in wisdom, discipline and obedience. Nothing destructive will grow unchecked in my life. I protect my future, in Jesus’ Name!”

🎨 HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT – “The Two Brothers Who Inherited Their Father’s Workshop?”

Two brothers inherited their father’s furniture workshop in Aba after he died. Their father had built the business for almost forty years, beginning with one saw, one hammer and a rented wooden shed. Before he died, he repeatedly warned them, “The world will not always buy furniture the way it buys it today. Keep learning. Keep changing. Never become too comfortable with what is currently working.”

The younger brother took those words seriously. He travelled to Lagos for training, studied modern furniture designs, learned computer-aided design, bought better equipment and trained younger craftsmen. It was uncomfortable. Some months, almost everything he earned went back into the business. His elder brother laughed at him. “Papa built this business without computers. Stop wasting money.”

The elder brother continued exactly as their father had operated—same designs, same equipment, same methods, same thinking. For a while, he seemed wiser. He kept more money, took fewer risks and enjoyed more comfort. Then the market changed. Customers began requesting modern designs. Hotels wanted finishes he could not produce. Corporate clients demanded precision his equipment could not deliver. Slowly, his customers disappeared. Yet his answer remained, “This is how we have always done it.”

Within a few years, workers left, machines gathered dust, and the workshop that once rang with saws and hammers became painfully quiet. One afternoon, he sat outside the nearly abandoned workshop when a large delivery truck stopped across the road. Written boldly on it was the name of his younger brother’s company. His brother had grown from a workshop into a factory.

The younger brother walked across and sat beside him. For a long time, neither spoke. The elder brother stared at the empty workshop their father had spent forty years building. Tears filled his eyes. Finally, he whispered, “I used to think you were suffering because you were always learning, changing and investing. I didn’t know I was the one suffering. Mine was simply postponed.”

Then he said something his younger brother never forgot: “The pain you accepted early became your progress. The pain I avoided early became my regret.”

That is life.
The gym hurts.
Learning hurts.
Correction hurts.
Discipline hurts.
Changing old habits hurts. Starting again hurts. But there is another pain—the pain of watching your potential expire inside your comfort zone. Growth hurts for a season. Stagnation collects interest.

📖 Text Scripture:
“Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.” — Hebrews 12:11 (KJV)

📍Everything that develops you will demand some discomfort. Muscles grow through resistance. Knowledge grows through learning. Character grows through correction. Maturity grows through responsibility. You cannot continually choose what is easy and become what greatness requires. Sometimes God answers your prayer for enlargement by introducing you to discomfort.

📍One of life’s greatest dangers is becoming comfortable with a version of yourself that should have expired. Israel became so accustomed to Egypt that the discomfort of the wilderness made slavery look attractive. Familiarity can make bo***ge feel safer than growth. Never protect an old version of yourself when God is calling you higher.

📍Choose the pain that produces you, not the comfort that reduces you. Accept correction. Learn the skill. Read the book. Change the habit. Increase your discipline. Growth charges you now and rewards you later; stagnation comforts you now and charges you later. Choose your pain wisely.

🔥 Let this be your cry today:

• Lord, deliver me from destructive comfort.
• Give me grace to embrace growth.
• Make me teachable and correctable.
• Help me change what must change.
• Prepare me for my next level.

✅ Kingdom Principle:

Growth will inconvenience you before it rewards you.

📍Discipline hurts temporarily; stagnation hurts eventually.

📍Never protect comfort at the expense of growth.

🔥 MAY I REMIND YOU THAT…:

1. Everything growing is being stretched.
2. Correction hurts less than repeated failure.
3. Today’s comfort can become tomorrow’s limitation.
4. New levels demand new capacities.
5. Discipline pays now; regret pays later.
6. You cannot grow while protecting everything that keeps you comfortable.

🔥 MAXIMS FOR LIFE:
1. Growth hurts, but stagnation hurts longer.
2. Comfort is a good resting place, not a permanent address.
3. Discipline is pain with a purpose.
4. Never protect the version of you that must change.
5. Temporary discomfort can prevent permanent regret.
6. Refusing to stretch is choosing to remain small.

🤔 Reflection:
• What necessary discomfort am I avoiding?
• Where have I become too comfortable?
• What must change for me to grow?

📦 Life Application:
1. Identify one comfort zone limiting you.
2. Begin one new growth discipline.
3. Receive correction without defensiveness.
4. Do one necessary thing you have been postponing.

🙏 Prayer:
Father, deliver me from destructive comfort. Give me grace to embrace discipline, correction and change. Stretch me, grow me and prepare me for my next level. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

🛎️ DECLARE BOLDLY:
“I refuse stagnation! I embrace growth, learning and change. I will endure the discomfort that develops me rather than embrace the comfort that diminishes me. I am growing into everything God has called me to become!”
