Psalms 126:1-3, Genesis 18:12 (CEV)

*_When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them. The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad._
*_So she (Sarah) laughed and said to herself, "Now that I am worn out … will I really know such happiness?"_

Sarah laughed when she heard the prophecy that she was going to have a child.

It looked humanly impossible because of how old she and Abraham were.
But her laughter did not stop the manifestation of God’s power and glory in her life.

Like Sarah, no matter how impossible God’s word for you this year sounds, it shall come to pass in your life.
You will carry your Isaac.

That testimony of fruitfulness, favour and God’s abundant grace in your life.

Like in our first text above, God will turn around seemingly impossible situations that were like captivities and it will look like a dream.
Your mouth will be filled with laughter and both you and unbelievers will testify of God’s glory and goodness in your life.

In Psalms 2:4 (NKJV), the Bible says, “He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.”
God is sitting in heaven laughing at every evil plan being made against you.

Beloved, remember that you too are seated in Heaven in Christ (Eph. 2:6).
Therefore, whenever you hear of any evil plan against you, join God to laugh.

Because, “Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass,” (Isa. 7:7).
Nothing and no one will steal your joy and peace this year.

*Faith Declaration:*
I laugh and rejoice because I see God manifesting His glory and power in my life in unbelievable ways.

*GOD HAS COMMANDED HIS BLESSING OVER YOUR LIFE (2)*

PSALMS 133:1-3

_Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore._

God doesn’t only command His blessings upon us as individuals.

God also commands his blessings upon us collectively.

Our text above shows us how God commands His blessings upon people who are walking in love and unity.
In our text above, the anointing being talked about is the anointing on Aaron’s head, but for us, the anointing God commands to operate in our midst is the anointing on the head of Christ.

Every time we gather as believers, Jesus commands His presence and anointing in our midst (Matt. 18:20).

As the early church walked in love and unity after the outpour of the Spirit, the Bible says, “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people.
And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” (Acts 2:46-47).

God also commands a great increase and harvest of souls in our families, organizations and ministry (Psa. 115:14).

It is because of our faith in Christ that God commands His blessings on us.
The promises of God are no more conditional for us.

They are already operational in our life.
The conditions are now our normal attitude because of the life of Christ in us.

*PUT GOD’S GRACE IN YOUR LIFE TO WORK*

1 CORINTHIANS 15:10 (AMPC), 2 CORINTHIANS 6:1 (GNB)

*_But by the grace (…of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not [found to be] for nothing (fruitless and without effect). In fact, I worked harder than all of them [the apostles], though it was not really I, but the grace (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God which was with me._
*_In our work together with God, then, we beg you who have received God's grace not to let it be wasted._

The grace of God not only pardoned you, but it also transformed and empowered you.

By the empowerment of the grace God has provided for you through Christ, you have the ability to live victoriously and manifest the will of God for your life.
The grace of God makes you function like Christ, beyond your human limitations.

By the grace of God, you can deny ungodliness. You can say no to sin (Titus 2:11-12, NIV).
By the grace of God, you can be exceedingly fruitful and do great exploits like Apostle Paul declared in our first text above.

By the grace of God, you can endure and overcome challenges.
By the grace of God, you can love and be a blessing to others.

If you do not put the grace of God to work, the glory of God will not be seen in your life, and people will not perceive the grace of God upon your life.
Yield to God’s voice and the leading of the Spirit.

David fought the lion, bear, and Goliath because he was conscious of the grace of God upon his life.
The reason people knew the wonderful things David could do was because he was putting the grace of God to work in his life (1 Sam. 16:17-18).

We are saved by grace (Eph. 2:8), but we shall be rewarded by our works (Rev. 22:12) —the things we did with the grace of God.

_I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My Name, so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son. [Yes] I will grant [I Myself will do for you] whatever you shall ask in My Name […]._

We shall continue focusing on Christ because it is something God wants us to do all the time.

Our entire lives as believers depend on it.

The greatest reason God wants us to focus on Christ is that as we do, our faith is strengthened and built up (Heb. 12:2), and we are transformed into more of Christ’s likeness by the help of the Spirit (2Cor. 3:18).
As these two things continue happening in your life, you will find yourself making great impact with ease.

As the Spirit of God is transforming you into more of Christ’s fullness, you will find yourself manifesting the life and power of Christ.
You will find yourself having the same kind of influence Christ would have if He were in your shoes.

When people around you interact with you, they will feel as though they are interacting with Christ Himself.
This is your destiny (Rom. 8:29).

Jesus said because you believe in Him, you will function the same way He functions.
Raise your vision and expectations to this level.

Desire to function like Jesus, having the same result and impact as Him in all areas of your life.

Pray in the authority of Jesus and expect God to answer you the same way He will answer Jesus, and see yourself overcoming challenges, making impact, influencing, and touching lives just like Jesus, because you are one with Him (1 John 4:17, 1 Cor. 6:17).

*_But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere._
*_We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose._

God declares the end from the beginning (Isa. 46:10) and God calls things that be not as though they were, because He has made them so (Rom. 4:17).

Remember that Christ, as the lamb of God, was slain from the foundation of the world (Rev. 13:8), and this reality was later manifested to the world in due time.
In Christ, God has already given you victory and made abundant provisions for all areas of your life this year.

At the right time, those victories and provisions will manifest.

God first told Joshua to see that He had given him Jericho, its king, and its men.
Then God gave him direction on what to do to receive what He has already given him (Josh. 6:1-5).

God is not going to give you victory if you do or say certain things.
He has already given you victory because of Christ.

As you see God giving you these victories, you will receive divine direction to receive them.

So, what can you see?
What do you see happening in your life this year?
See what God has said about you as your reality.

All things have worked together for your good (Rom. 8:28).
God has given you as far as your eyes can see (Gen. 13:15-17).

All things are possible for you.
No weapon formed against you shall prosper.

Your going out and coming in are blessed.
The lines have fallen for you in pleasant places. Rejoice!

*BUILD YOURSELF INTO AN EDIFICE*

1CORINTHIANS 14:4a (TPT, LB, AMPC), JUDE 20 (AMPC)

*_The one who speaks in tongues advances his own spiritual progress._
*_So a person “speaking in tongues” helps himself grow spiritually._
*_He who speaks in a [strange] tongue edifies and improves himself._
*_But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit;_

The word edifice is usually used to refer to a kind of building that is large and very impressive or attractive.

It is a kind of building that stands out and makes people stare and wonder at its magnificence.
As you prepare to enter a new year, one of the ways you can build yourself into an edifice in the spirit is by praying in the Spirit.

Every prayer we pray must be prayed in the Spirit, (Eph.6:18).
Praying in the Spirit usually begins with praying in tongues, but it is not only about praying in tongues.

It is to pray under the influence and strength of the Spirit.

In The Living Bible, Jude 20 says, “But you, dear friends, must build up your lives ever more strongly upon the foundation of our holy faith, learning to pray in the power and strength of the Holy Spirit.”

This is why Apostle Paul said he prayed with his spirit and with his understanding also, (1Cor.14:15).
When you start praying in tongues, your spirit starts praying and it connects with the guidance and strength of the Holy Spirit.

He helps you to pray in line with the revelation and authority of Christ and God’s perfect will for your life.
Apostle Paul prayed in the Spirit a lot.

He said he prayed in tongues more than all the believers in the Corinthian church, (1Cor.14:18).
He not only prayed in the spirit, but he also sang and gave thanks in the spirit, (1Cor.14:15-17).

No wonder his life was like an edifice.
Your life will be like an edifice.

*ACTION POINT:*
Pray In The Spirit Right Now And Yield To The Guidance And Strength Of The Spirit. Pray For The Coming Year As The Spirit Leads.

*STAY CLEAR OF FALSE TEACHING*

COLOSSIANS 2:8-10 (GNB)

_See to it, then, that no one enslaves you by means of the worthless deceit of human wisdom, which comes from the teachings handed down by human beings and from the ruling spirits of the universe, and not from Christ. For the full content of divine nature lives in Christ, in his humanity, and you have been given full life in union with him. He is supreme over every spiritual ruler and authority._

Many believers are yet to understand how important it is that every message they hear must be in line with the revelation of Christ.

The scriptures testify of Jesus and it is only when we focus on Him that we can believe in Him and experience God’s life and power, (John 5:39-40, Rom.1:16, John 20:30-31).
Any teaching you hear that does not align with who Christ is and what He has done for you is a false teaching and it is dangerous for your faith and life in God.

2CORITNHIANS 7:1 (AMPC) talks about cleansing ourselves from everything that contaminates and defiles our body and spirit.
While sin contaminates and defiles the body, it is false teaching that contaminates and defiles the spirit.

Christ is our life (Col.3:4a) and our foundation (1Cor.3:11).
The only way we can truly grow and be built up is by focusing on Him.

The devil is inspiring many people in the wrong direction and deceiving so many by false teachings and false ministers, (2Cor.11:13-15).

False teachings pollute the conscience (1Tim.4:1-5) and take believers captive.
They weaken and exploit believers instead of equipping and empowering them.

False teaching makes believers unable to experience and walk in the fullness of Christ and the Spirit, (Gal.3:1-9).
Be deliberate about hearing only what aligns with Christ and His Cross.

*PRAYER:*
Father, Please Help Me Guard My Spirit By Only Studying And Listening To Teachings That Are In Line With The Revelation Of Christ.

*EQUIP YOURSELF FOR GOOD WORKS IN THE COMING YEAR (2)*

2Timothy 3:15-17 (NLT)

_You have been taught the Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting Christ. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and make us realize what is wrong. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work._

It is important to note that as at when Apostle Paul was writing this letter in our text above to Timothy, there were no New Testament scriptures.

This means that the things Timothy had been taught from childhood that gave him wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting Christ were taken from the scriptures of the Old Testament.
This shows us that we can read the Old Testament scriptures and still see Christ or be pointed towards Christ and His works.

Matthew to Revelation actually reveals/explains Genesis to Malachi.

The Old Testament prophets prophesied about Christ, (1Pet.1:10-11).
The Gospel was preached to Abraham (Gal.3:8, John 8:56) and the Israelites (Heb.4:2).

The reason for the faith of the people of the Old Testament was the coming of Christ, (Heb.11:24-26).
At the time Jesus said all scripture testifies of Him/points towards Him (John 5:39) He was referring to the Old Testament scriptures.

That is why He could show the two disciples on the way to Emmaus all that was written about Him and His death on the Cross in all the Old Testament scriptures (Luke 24:26-27).

As you study the scriptures, ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes and show you how what you are studying points to Christ and His works.

*Prayer:*
Father, I ask that as I study the scriptures of the Old Testament, please open my eyes by your Spirit and show me Christ.

*VITAL BASICS OF WALKING IN THE SPIRIT*


GALATIANS 5:16 (TPT), GALATIANS 5:24-25 (NLT)

*_As you yield freely and fully to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, you will abandon the cravings of your self - life._
*_Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives._

One reason many believers are unable to walk in holiness is that all they are doing is trying not to fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

We do not overcome the flesh by trying not to yield to the flesh; rather, we overcome the flesh by walking in (yielding to) the Spirit.
“For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live,” (Rom.8:13, NIV).

It is ONLY by the power of the Spirit that you can overcome the flesh.

The beginning of walking in the Spirit is death.
Knowing that you were included in the death of Christ and as such, you have died to your former sinful life.

You are a new creature now.
You are one with Christ.

The next phase of walking in the Spirit is knowing and acknowledging everything you are in Christ.
Who you are, what you have, where you are now in the Spirit, and all you can do; all because of Christ.

You cannot walk in the Spirit until you can see and know who you are in the spirit/in Christ.
It is based on who you are in the spirit/Christ that the Spirit will lead you.

To see and know who you are in the spirit/Christ you have to keep renewing your mind by telling yourself who you are in Christ and what Christ has done for you.

Until you put on Christ in your mind, you cannot put away sin and reflect Christ from your life and actions, (Col.3:8-10, Eph.4:23-24).

*PRAYER:*
Father, I Thank You That I Died With Christ And I Have A New Life Now. Please Fill My Heart With The Revelation Of Who I Am In Christ.

*_Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy;_

Are you grateful for how God crowned and beautified your life with His loving-kindness and tender mercies this year?

By His loving-kindness and tender mercies, God made your life full of various manifestations of His grace and favour.

On the Cross, Jesus took your crown of thorns and shame and in exchange, He gave you His crown of favour and glory.
By this favour and glory of Christ upon you, God beautified and changed your story this year.

Just as the angel said to Mary, this year, you were blessed and highly favoured by God.
The spiritual blessings God has given you in Christ manifested in various ways, (Eph.1:3).

You were clothed with God’s garment of favour and God surrounded you with His favour like a shield (Psa. 5:12).
Good things you didn’t deserve were attracted into your life, all kinds of men and women (even your enemies) granted you great access and favour (Prov.16:7).

Like Esther, there were times you were afraid and unsure of the outcome of certain situations, but God’s favour came through for you in an amazing way (Esth. 5:2-3).
As you meditate on the several manifestations of God’s favour in your life this year, rejoice and give Him thanks today.

I thank you Dear Father for how you beautified my life with your favour, loving-kindness, and tender mercies this year.

*_God is always at work in you to make you willing and able to obey his own purpose._
*_For God is at work within you, helping you want to obey him, and then helping you do what he wants._
*_Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”_

There is nothing you can do to make God work in your life.

God is already at work in your life.
God is more willing and committed to working in your life than you desire.

All you can do is to submit yourself to what God is doing in your life.
By this, you receive the manifestation of what God is doing.

In John 5:17 and 19 (GNB), Jesus said, "My Father is always working, and I too must work."
"I tell you the truth: the Son can do nothing on his own; he does only what he sees his Father doing. What the Father does, the Son also does.”

There is nothing Adam could have done to make God provide Eve for Him. All God wanted from Adam was to yield to Him.

That is why He had to put Adam to a deep sleep, (Gen.21:22).
When we enter the place of resting in God, God is able to work and manifest His works in our lives.

When it comes to the will of God, many people are always concerned about what they need to do, instead of what God has done and is doing for them already because of Christ.
What God wants you to do is to believe in Him.

That is how you enter His rest.
From the foundations of the world, God already finished His works and when you believe in Him, you enter into His rest, (Heb.4:3).

*PRAYER:*
Heavenly Father, I Thank You For What You Have Already Done And Are Doing For Me Through Christ. I Yield Myself To You Right Now.
