THE EX-ANOINTED IN MINISTRY😭😭😭😭
To my sons and daughters
In ministry, there are two kinds of men: those burning and those who used to burn.
Those carrying oil, and those carrying stories. Those God is using, and those God has left but ministry has not left them.
I am talking about the Ashes Man of God the once-anointed who lost the oil, yet still holds a microphone.
A man who still talks fire, but lives smoke.
A man famous among men but forgotten in heaven.
A man who remembers encounters he no longer has, miracles he no longer sees, and a prayer life he no longer carries.
This is one of the most terrifying tragedies in ministry to be active but empty, visible but void, loud but lost.
It is easy to clap for the burning ones. But ministry has a silent graveyard where many lie spiritually men who used to shake nations, who now can’t shake their own hearts back to prayer.
Some still have platform, but no presence. Some still have microphone, but no mantle. Some still have crowds, but God has left them and only the announcements remain.
How Do Men Become “Ashes Men”?
It doesn’t happen in a day.
They stopped watching before they stopped burning.
They stopped crying before they stopped carrying.
They stopped dying daily before the oil dried.
They started loving ministry more than the God of the ministry.
They became professionals at what they once prayed for.
They turned grace into entitlement, assignment into performance, fellowship into strategy, and fire into reputation.
Son, every anointing has enemies:
Pride :- “I have arrived.”
Familiarity :- “It is my gift; I know how this thing works.”
Secret sin :- covered but not conquered.
Offense and bitterness :- poison to the Spirit’s wine.
Comfort :- the enemy of consecration.
Anointing leaves quietly. It does not shout “I am going.” It leaves like Samson still shaking his hair, still shaking the pillars, but the power gone. It leaves like Saul still holding the throne, but God already chose David. Ministry continues, but God has withdrawn.
Son, beware: activity is not anointing. The fact people are clapping doesn’t mean heaven is still stamping.
The Sad Signs of the Ex anointed
He prays, but prayer no longer breaks him only routine.
He preaches, but the Word no longer wounds him 😭😭😭😭 only memory.
He lays hands, but heaven no longer touches through him😭😭😭😭 only noise.
He shouts “Fire!”, but inside, he is cooling😭😭😭😭 only ashes remain.
And yet, the most painful thing?
He often doesn’t know the glory has departed.
Son, Guard Your Fire
You don’t maintain anointing by memory. You maintain it by mercy and brokenness.
Stay low. Stay pure. Stay desperate.
Pray until broken.
Fast until flesh submits.
Cry until heart softens.
Study until spirit burns.
Ignore applause until God alone matters.
Because those who lose the anointing rarely return not because God refuses to anoint again, but because they love the throne more than the altar again.
But Son There Is Hope
God is not only the God of the anointed;
He is the God of the once-anointed who return with tears.
David recovered his anointing.
Peter recovered his fire.
Samson’s last breath carried power again.
Jacob walked with a limp but carried a blessing again.
Jonah ran, yet God still used him after the whale.
The ashes man can burn again but only on his knees.
How the Once-Anointed Can Be Anointed Again
1. Confess, don’t defend.
God restores the broken, not the stubborn.
2. Return to the altar, not the stage.
Revival starts in the secret place, not the spotlight.
3. Kill the secret life of sin.
You can’t cover what God wants to cleanse.
4. Submit again.
Pride fell you; humility will raise you.
5. Seek God, not ministry success.
The anointing is a Person, not a performance.
6. Wait again.
Heaven’s oil doesn’t rush; it broods.
7. Serve again.
Sometimes God restores oil in hidden service.
It is better never to rise than to rise and crash.
It is better never to hold fire than to end with smoke.
Guard your mantle. Cry for purity. Fight for consistency.
Because ministry is not about being known it is about still burning when many have turned to ashes.
If you ever feel your flame weakening, don’t pretend. Cry:
“Lord, break me again. Anoint me again. Let me burn again.”
For God does not abandon His vessels
He only waits for them to return to the squeezing so oil can flow again.
Son, remain burning. Do not become a museum of what God used to do.
Let your life be proof that God still gives fresh oil to those who humble themselves.
Stay on the altar.
Stay in the fire.
Stay anointed.
And if you ever fall return quickly.
Because ashes can become incense again.🔥
