TOPIC: Anger

Anger means a strong feelings to hurt or criticiize someone because they have done something bad to you or been unkind to you.

Jesus told us to replace anger with forgiveness.

Prov.14.17 - He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.

Prov.14.29 - He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

Prov.15.18 - A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.

Prov.16.32 - He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

Eccl.7.9 - Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

Matt.5.22 - But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

God's angels are with you to protect and to keep you and your family.

Ps.34.7 - The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

Ps.68.17 - The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.

Matt.24.31 - And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Heb.1.14 - Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Heb.12.22 - But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

Heb.13.2 - Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

MORNING SHOWER DAILY DEVOTIONAL.

TOPIC: THE ANTIOCH CHURCH.

TEXT: ACT 13:1-10

KEY VERSE: Acts.13.1 - Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

God intention is that every of his children should emulate the Antioch Christians.

They lived and patterned their lives with biblical principles.

They were the first to be call Christians.
Acts.11.26 - And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

It is a church that teaches the word of God.

It is a giving church.
Acts.11.29 - Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:
Acts.11.30 - Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

It is a church who praise and worship God.
Acts.13.2 - As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

They humble themselves through fasting always.
Acts.13.3 - And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

It is a Holy Ghost filled church.
Acts.13.2 - As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

It is a prayerful church.
Acts.13.3 - And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

It is an evangelical outreach church that won souls for God.
Acts.13.4 - So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
