A Reminder of God’s Goodness

Nahum’s letter to the people of Judah, in the southern part of Israel, is both a call for repentance and a letter of judgment. The northern tribes had already been exiled to Assyria, and the unfaithfulness of Judah was also leading them into exile.

There's a lot happening in Judah at this time. It's an era of national turmoil. The people have been unfaithful. But rather than focusing on the surrounding dangers or the cultural pressures, Nahum points the people back to the character of God, which never changes.

Nahum reminds us that God is good. Even though the world around Israel was changing rapidly, their God remained the same. He is always good. In the midst of every circumstance, we can trust God will never change but will always desire what is good for us.

Nahum continues to remind us that God is a refuge in the midst of difficult times. Because God is all-powerful, He will protect you from the dangers of this world.

Lastly, Nahum tells us that God cares for those who trust in Him. As you put your trust in God, He cares for and watches over your soul. While it can be difficult to trust God in uncertain times, Scripture tells us that it is the only way to true security.

Take some time today to consider your own life and the circumstances you’re in. Whether your situation is a good one or a bad one, remember these three truths:
- God is good.
- God is your refuge.
- God cares for you.

Text: Isaiah 54 :1

FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!

"SING, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD" (ISAIAH 54 v 1).

Thank God it's a glorious and beautiful midweek. Child of the Most High God, it doesn't matter, life might have taken off late with you; but as the ALL POWERFUL GOD has stepped in the affairs of your life now; you can overtake those who have started before you because His hands is right now resting on you in Jesus name.

A single contact with God can make the difference in the life of an individual. For some years, some people have laboured in ministry, business, academics and career with nothing to show for it. If you are in such situation, a contact that will usher a season of positive change is coming your way in Jesus name Amen.

When the hand of God was laid on Elijah in 1 KINGS 18 v 41 - 46, he outran king Ahab who had earlier taken off with speed on his chariot of horses. How can ordinary legs overtake horses? When God lays His hands on you, your progress will be so rapid that none of your enemies will be able to catch up with you in Jesus name.

From the above scripture, we learn that when God's hand is upon you, the time you lost that worked against you will be recovered, and will work in your favour. Ahab ran ahead of Elijah yet the latter still overtook him.

Also, when God's hand is upon you, every limitation or deficiency that should have stalled your progress will rather advance you. Imagine a man on his two feet beating a chariot of horses! This tells us that even when you lack the latest technology, you can still emerge the best if God's hand is upon you. This season, God's hand will rest upon you for good in Jesus name Amen.

Introduction: Verily, it is a great mystery, the nature of the Holy Trinity, for the Lord our God is one, yet manifests in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. As the Scriptures declare, “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one” (Deuteronomy 6:4).

Consider, if thou wilt, the sun in the sky. It gives forth light, heat, and radiance; yet it is but one sun. Similarly, the Father is the creator, the Son is the redeemer, and the Holy Spirit is the sustainer of all life. Each plays a vital role in the divine plan, whilst remaining united in essence.

Contemplate this: how dost thou perceive the love of God in thy life? Is it not through the grace of Jesus, the comfort of the Holy Spirit, and the guidance of the Father? In what ways do you experience this divine presence?
