🙏 2026 CYONND YOUTH WEEK – APPRECIATION & REPORT

With hearts full of gratitude, we return all glory, honor, and praise to Almighty God for the successful commencement of the 2026 CYONND Youth Week under the theme:

"Take Courage, I Have Overcome the World" (John 16:33).

The Flag-Off Ceremony, held today Sunday, 26th July 2026, at Holy Trinity Parish, Nanka, was a remarkable success, bringing together Catholic youths from our eleven (11) parishes across Nanka and Oko in an atmosphere of faith, unity, joy, and fellowship.

We sincerely appreciate our Deanery Chaplain, Rev. Fr. John Ifanyichukwu Umenadiri, for his spiritual guidance, fatherly support, and unwavering commitment to the youth of our deanery. Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to our Dean, Rev. Fr. Paul Dimude, for his encouragement, and continued support.

We are deeply grateful to Holy Trinity Parish, Nanka, for warmly hosting this year's Flag-Off Ceremony and for the wonderful hospitality extended to all participants.

Our profound appreciation goes to our distinguished guests, sponsors, and well-wishers whose presence, financial support, and encouragement contributed immensely to the success of the event. We particularly appreciate Dr. Okwudili Ezenwankwo, who, despite his busy schedule, graciously sent a representative and generously supported the program. We also thank Mrs. Ngozi Ogbuihe (Deanery CWO Organizer) for her generous support and Lady Fransica Ngozi Okeke (Our Matron and Emeritus Deanery CWO Organizer) for honoring us with her presence as one of our special guests.

To all our parish youth leaders, executives, coordinators, volunteers, and every CYON member who worked tirelessly before, during, and after the event, we say thank you. Your dedication, teamwork, and sacrifices made the day a memorable one.

As our Youth Week activities continue throughout the week, we invite all members to remain actively involved and participate fully in the remaining programs. Together, let us continue to grow in faith, strengthen our unity, and build a vibrant Catholic youth community.

May Almighty God bless everyone who contributed in one way or another to the success of this year's Youth Week.

Dear Beloved CYONND Members,
On this special occasion of Valentine’s Day 2026,
I warmly extend my heartfelt wishes to each and every one of you.

Valentine’s Day is not only about romantic love, it is a beautiful reminder of the greatest love of all, the love of Christ for humanity. As Catholic youths, we are called to reflect that love in our words, actions, and daily lives.
Let this season inspire us to:
1. Love without selfishness
2. Serve without seeking reward
3. Forgive without holding grudges
4. Support one another in unity and faith.

May we continue to grow stronger as one family under CYONND, promoting peace, purity, charity, and genuine friendship among ourselves and in our communities.

As your President, I encourage you to celebrate responsibly, uphold your values, and remember that true love is patient, kind, and rooted in God.

On behalf of the entire CYONND family, I sincerely express our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the CYONND Annual Thanksgiving of Amazing Grace and Carol of Nine Lessons.
We are deeply grateful to God Almighty for His protection, provision, and guidance throughout the year and for granting us a peaceful, successful, and grace-filled celebration. Indeed, His grace has been truly amazing.
