Righteousness: we are Christians aspiring to make heaven at all cost. Passion: we are choristers dedicated to singing to the glory of God and relentlessly devoted to the pursuit of peace. Accountability: we account for our activities, deliver our promises, accept our responsibilities and are transparent in all our dealings in line with our divine purpose and nature. Integrity: we are honest and truthful. This explains our moral obligation as chorister to the society at large. Leadership: we are melody makers with hope and virtue, on a mission to play a leading role in our generation by providing the information; knowledge and modus operandi that enable us serve God and humanity. PROJECT, POTENTIALS AND CHALLENGES;
ACAN is engaged in a number of projects which when fulfilled will further enhance our effectiveness and efficiency in the kingdom work.
1. National Crusade: We have embarked on efficient and effective evangelism across the globe known as TURNING POINT. Is a yearly activity organized by the association during which the choristers/youths camp 3 days at a location for the purpose of:
a. Reaching the large “baby boom” cohort and their children who hunger and thirst for the word of God. Creating great awareness of the impact and activities of ACAN and Youth Movement in our generation. And bringing about the much needed positive change and upliftment in our churches which will foster LOVE, PEACE, UNITY, GROWTH AND PROSPERITY. Aba witness Extraordinary Increase 2012 while Oyigbo in Portharcourt district witness the just concluded season 2 themed “Anointing of God”. By His grace, Enugu will host the season 3 themed “TIME FOR RESSURECTION”
2. 2015 SINGING COMPETITION. The competition will attracts over 500 choristers as we hope to invites over thirty (30) choirs across the country within and outside the church in search for the best choir, singer/songwriters, comedians, rappers and vocalists for the Kingdom of God. It will provide entrants not only the chance to win prizes, but the opportunity to perform live to capacity audiences, releasing or launching of new albums/products by groups or individuals and discover new talents among our youths. Musicologists will be hired to adjudicate the singing competition.
3. SPORTING EVENTS. ACAN and the National Youth have agreed to partner and provide champion’s league football competition, female handball, track and field events etc, for the youths in Abosso. Henceforth, a joint committee will be saddled with organizing and ex*****on of this event, not ACAN.
4. RESTORATION OF PEACE: As epitome of peace dedicated to singing to the glory of God, we will relentlessly devote to the pursuit of peace. This is our responsibility, and recognition on the part of every Abosso youth, that we have duties to ourselves, duties to our church, our nation and the world. Duties that we do not grudgingly accept but rather seize gladly, firm in the knowledge that there is nothing so satisfying to the spirit so defining of our character, than giving our all to a difficult task “restoring peace”. This is the price and promises of a “youth” in Abosso-this is the source of our confidence- the knowledge that God calls on us to shape Abosso. With eyes fixed on the horizon and God’s grace upon us, we will carry forth this great gift of God and delivered it safely to future generations. Yours in the service of the lord:
