TOPIC: STRENGTH IS NOT ENOUGH 2

MEMORISE:
Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah. - (Psalm 84:4)

READ: Isaiah 40:28-31 (KJV)

MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we saw how Peter fell into temptation because he couldn't keep watch in prayer (Matthew 26:40-43). Prayerlessness is one of the signs that a believer is relying on his or her own strength. Unlike Peter, however, David kept watch day and night in the place of prayer (Psalm 55:17). He often stayed awake at night, spending time with God and meditating on His word (Psalm 63:6, Psalm 119:148). He was so aware of the limitations of his strength that on many occasions in the Bible, he enquired of the Lord to know what He wanted him to do (1 Samuel 23:1-5, 1 Samuel 30:8-9). However, in (2 Samuel 11?), where he obviously didn't enquire of the Lord but rather gave in to lust, he got into a predicament that negatively impacted his lineage (2 Samuel 12:9-12).

Daniel also knew the importance of prayer. He knew how much he needed God in the strange land of Babylon, and the Bible tells us that he prayed thrice daily (Daniel 6:10). Even when a decree was made that nobody should pray to anyone except the king, he was too aware of the limitations of his strength that his first reaction was to open his windows and pray as usual. His response to everything was prayer.

Prayer is so important that the Bible urges us to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). The moment you don't feel like praying or see the need to pray is actually the time to pray more intently because prayerlessness can leave a believer in a weak state and cause such a believer to lose his or her spiritual vitality. Once the devil douses a believer's spiritual fire, he can ruin him or her. Praying puts us in a posture of humility before God, where we acknowledge that we cannot do anything without Him. It keeps our hearts tender and reminds us of the limitations of our physical strength. When we cultivate a lifestyle of waiting on God in prayer, we renew our strength daily (Isaiah 40:31) and are able to overcome the devil's temptations (Matthew 26:41).

Beloved, how do you respond to life's challenges? Do you always try to solve them with your wisdom and strength first? Do you only run to God when everything you've tried fails? Do not make God a spare wheel in your life, rather, He should always be your first resort. Cultivate the habit of praying without ceasing, and you will live victoriously all the days of your life, in Jesus' name.

KEY POINT:
When you cultivate a lifestyle of prayer, you will tap into the Lord's strength daily.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Esther 6-10

HYMNAL:
HYMN 22 - SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER! SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER!

1. Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father's throne
Make all my want and wishes known;
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief,
And oft escaped the tempter's snare,
By the return, sweet hour of prayer.

2. Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
The joy I feel, the bliss I share,
Of those whose anxious spirits burn
With strong desires for thy return!
With such I hasten to the place,
Where God my Savior shows His face,
And gladly take my station there,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer.

3. Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
Thy wings shall my petition bear,
To Him whose truth and faithfulness
Engage the waiting soul to bless;
And since He bids me seek His face,
Believe His word and trust His grace,
I'll cast on Him my every care,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer.

HYMN

JESUS IS THE CAPTAIN OF THE SHIP 🙏

Jesus is the Captain of the ship
Fear not, he’s always with you
Jesus is the Pilot of the ship,
Fear not, he’s always with you.

Refrain:
Do not be afraid
Rejoice evermore
Jesus is the Captain of the ship
Despite the turbulence and storm
He'll steer our ship to safety.

All ye people inside the ship,
Beckon on Jesus only,
Trust thou only in Jesus Christ,
He'll make our ship land safely.

Jesus Saviour with Thy great words,
Commands the storm to be still,
Jesus Christ who walked on the storm,
He sleeps and there is no foe.

What are your great anxieties,
All you thou Jesus' army
If Jesus Christ is in the ship
We shall all laugh at the storm.

When the storm of life rages high,
Over the land and the sea,
There's a great safe home with Him above,
With my Jesus the Saviour.

From the mouth of lion and the wolf,
From the dangerous animals,
Jesus will save all His children
And keep them all safely home.

God, Three in One and the Saviour,
Preserve us all Thy children
From the storm of life and temptations,
Halleluyah'll be our praises.

Glory to the Father above,
Glory be to His great Son,
Glory be to the Holy Ghost,
Glory forever amen.

*EXPLOSIVE GROWTH DRIVE*

*VISION 2032: MAY 2026*

*SUNDAY 24TH MAY, 2026 MESSAGE

*TOPIC: THE POWER THAT PRODUCES GREATER HARVEST*

*BIBLE TEXT: Zec. 4:6, 1 Cor. 2:4–5, Acts 4:31*

*INTRODUCTION*
There is something we must settle today:
• A greater harvest is not a product of effort only.
• A greater harvest is a product of power.

*Many have tried:*
• More programs
• More announcements
• More activities

Yet the results remain the same.

Why?

Because: Effort without power produces frustration. In this service, you will receive power, and stagnation shall be gone; you will call one, and 200 will answer.
You will leave this service with a mouth that none of your enemies shall be able to gainsay.

A few things to still note:

1. DIMENSIONS OF POWER THAT PRODUCE GREATER HARVEST

i. Convicting Power Acts 2:37 — “They were pricked in their heart…”

Peter did not preach long…
But power pierced hearts.
That is greater harvest.

ii. Miracle-Attracting Power Acts 8:5–8 — “There was great joy in that city…”
Miracles:
• Gather crowds
• Open hearts
• Validate the gospel

iii. Boldness Power Acts 4:31 — “They were all filled… and spoke with boldness.”
Greater harvest requires: fearless witnesses.

iv. Retention Power Acts 2:42 — “They continued steadfastly…”
Power does not only bring souls… It establishes them.

2. ACTIVATION: HOW TO STEP INTO GREATER POWER
i. Fasting Matt. 17:21 — “This kind goeth not out…”
Some harvest dimensions require: spiritual force

ii. Continual Infilling Eph. 5:18 — “Be filled with the Spirit…”
Not once…continually Explosive Growth Drive

iii. Yielding To The Holy Spirit Acts 13:2 — “
As they ministered… the Holy Ghost said…”

iv. Fervent Prayer
• Jam. 5:16 — “The effectual fervent prayer…”
• Not casual prayer…

Fervent prayer Let me ask you:
• When last did power flow through you?
• When last, did someone encounter God through your life?

Christianity without power is incomplete.
• Today, we are going to call for His power to come down upon everyone here and upon the Church.
This Church shall be known for strange and mighty miracles......

But before we pray, you have to be sure you can be a carrier of this power.

*SALVATION ALTAR CALL*
If you are not saved, you cannot carry this power.

*REVIVAL ALTAR CALL*
If you are saved… but dry…
Lift your hands:
“Holy Spirit, fill me afresh! Baptize me with fire!
Turn me into a vessel of power!”
Let us call down the power of God.

*IMPARTATION MOMENT PRAYERS*

1. Lord, make every word we speak carry fire that melts hearts and draws souls to salvation.

2. Father, let all the sinners around us encounter undeniable conviction that they cannot ignore or escape.

3. Father, henceforth, let every service in this Church carry supernatural encounters that gather and establish multitudes.

4. Father, make me a fearless witness who confronts darkness and rescues souls.

5. Father, baptize me with fearless boldness to preach the gospel without hesitation.

6. Holy Spirit, preserve every soul from falling back or drifting away

7. Lord, activate in me a lifestyle of power that produces greater harvest daily

Thank you Jesus!

Let our praises be acceptable to you in Jesus' name. Amen

24/05/2026

Lord, we are here again

Have your way in Jesus' name.

Don't let us return the same way we have come

Thank you Jesus 🙏

Amen

TOPIC: SPIRITUALLY DISCERNED 2

MEMORISE:
Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death; - (Psalm 13:3)

READ: Judges 16:19-21 (KJV)

MESSAGE:
There was once a young man who was the secretary of a cult group at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in South-West Nigeria. One day, he gave his life to Christ and decided to leave the cult. Immediately, the other cult members decided to kill him because he knew their secrets. One night, after arriving his hostel from the library, he was very tired, so he said a quick prayer and got on his bed to sleep. As he lay on his bed, the Holy Spirit nudged him to get up and pray. He got on his knees, said another short prayer, and tried to sleep again. However, he got another nudge to pray, and he just thought to himself, "Well, let me pray just as God wants." He did so, and as he got up from his knees, he saw a huge demon with charms all over its body walk into his room, even though the door was locked. The demon made its way towards him, and he immediately started rebuking it in Jesus' name. Slowly, the demon retreated from the room. When he told me about the incident, I asked him, "Are you sure you weren't dreaming?" He replied, "I'd have thought I was dreaming too; however, because of how I shouted when rebuking the demon, my roommate moved on his bed, and as he did so, his leg touched the demon as it retreated. My roommate's leg, which touched the demon, swelled to three times its normal size, and he spent a year treating it." Being spiritually discerning can be the difference between life and death.

As we read in Balaam's story yesterday, disobedience to God's instructions can prevent a Christian from discerning spiritual things. Are there instructions the Lord has given you to follow? Don't try to negotiate your way out of complete obedience to Him. Always obey God's instructions, because it will make your heart more sensitive to hearing Him. Toying with sin will make a believer become spiritually dull. Samson didn't know when his hair was cut because sin had made him spiritually dull. He was fast asleep and didn't know that he was in trouble until Delilah woke him up. When he awoke, he wanted to fight the Philistines as he had always done, but he was unaware that God had left him.

Beloved, flee disobedience and sin so that you will remain spiritually discerning. May you not become spiritually insensitive and sleep the sleep of death, in Jesus' name.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please help me to obey You at all times so I never become spiritually insensitive.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Nehemiah 8-10

HYMNAL:
HYMN 30 - WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD

1. When we walk with the Lord,
In the light of His word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

CHORUS:
Trust and obey!
For there's no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.

2. But we never can prove
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay,
For the favour He shows,
And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

3. Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we'll walk by His side in the way,
What He says we will do,
Where He sends we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.
