CHRIO LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: Monday, 4th May, 2026

TOPIC: Healing and the Restoration of the Inner Life

PASSAGE: Psalm 147:3; John 20:19–22

WORD FOR TODAY

“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
— Psalm 147:3

MESSAGE

God’s saving work is comprehensive. Scripture presents Him not only as the One who forgives sin, but also as the One who restores the inner life. Redemption addresses our standing before God; healing addresses our condition within. Both are essential to spiritual maturity.

Psalm 147:3 reveals a God who does not overlook brokenness. He binds wounds intentionally, recognising that unhealed places often influence how people relate—to God and to others. Such wounds may not cancel faith, but they can limit clarity, peace, and fruitfulness if left unattended.

This truth is illustrated clearly in John 20:19–22. The disciples had encountered the risen Christ, yet fear still shaped their posture. Jesus did not immediately send them out. He first spoke peace and breathed the Holy Spirit upon them. This sequence matters. God restores inward stability before assigning outward responsibility. Wholeness precedes mission.

From a theological perspective, this reflects the Spirit’s work of sanctification—bringing the inner life into alignment with the reality of Christ’s finished work. Where healing occurs, fear loses influence, relationships become less reactive, and obedience flows from peace rather than pressure.

Such restoration also strengthens witness. Lives marked by inner coherence quietly reflect the truth of the gospel. People are often drawn not first to instruction, but to lives where faith, character, and conduct align.

Today’s invitation is to welcome God’s restoring work. As He heals the inner life, the life of Christ is expressed with greater integrity, stability, and grace.

DECLARE BOLDLY

God restores our souls and establishes us in wholeness.

PRAYER

Father, we welcome Your healing work in our inner lives. Restore what is broken, settle what is unsettled, and let Your peace govern our hearts. May our lives reflect the wholeness You give through Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

*TOPIC:* Seeing People as God Sees Them

*PASSAGE:* 1 Samuel 16:7; 2 Corinthians 5:16

*WORD FOR TODAY*

“For the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.”
— 1 Samuel 16:7

*MESSAGE*

Human relationships are often shaped by what is visible. We notice age, ability, confidence, weakness, success, or failure, and from these we form opinions. Scripture gently challenges this tendency by revealing how God sees. While people look at appearances, God looks at the heart.

This truth applies to every stage of life. Children are often judged by performance, young people by potential, adults by productivity, and older people by relevance. Yet none of these measures capture the true worth of a person. At every age, beneath visible behaviour and circumstance, there is a soul known and valued by God.

Paul reinforces this perspective in 2 Corinthians 5:16, reminding believers that in Christ we are called to relate beyond merely human judgment. To see “no one according to the flesh” is not to ignore reality, but to interpret it through grace, patience, and spiritual understanding.

When relationships are guided only by outward assessment, misunderstanding and distance grow. But when we learn to see as God sees, our posture changes. We become slower to judge, quicker to listen, and more willing to remain present. This kind of vision creates space for healing, growth, and restoration.

Seeing people as God sees them also shapes our witness. Souls are more likely to open when they are met with dignity rather than assumption. Compassion becomes credible when it is informed by understanding, not labels.

Today’s invitation is to allow God to refine our vision. As our sight is shaped by His heart, our relationships—at home, at work, in church, and in the community—become places where people are truly seen and quietly drawn toward God.

*DECLARE BOLDLY*

We choose to see people through God’s eyes.

*PRAYER*

Father, train our hearts to look beyond appearances. Give us wisdom to relate with understanding, patience, and grace. Let our vision reflect Your heart for every soul. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

*CELEBRATE THE GIFT OF MEN*

*Romans 16:1-17*

*Greet one another with a holy kiss. The churches of Christ greet you. Romans 16:16*

We were never created to walk or work alone. God works through people. Most of the time, He answers our prayers by sending men to us. When Apostle Paul had an encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, the first thing God did was to connect him with a brother in the city, Ananias who would tell him more about the gospel. Secondly, God connected him with a fervent brother, Barnabas who was well known in the Christian circle and became a channel through whom Paul became accepted among the brethren in Jerusalem.

Throughout Paul's missionary journeys, God positioned people along the way to help his cause. In the passage above, he dedicated a whole chapter of his epistle to the Christians in Rome to appreciate the helpers of his ministerial endeavours. Similarly, God sends people to us many times to deliver messages of hope. He reproves us and encourages us through the people who are close to us. He brings help our way through the men and women He has placed around us. He expands our work and advances our career paths by the hands of trusted co-labourers.

Learn to appreciate people. Do not say if they don't do it, God will raise someone else. Appreciate the gift that God used; it leads to the multiplication of such divine help for your life. If you drive God's gifts of men away from you by negative energy and attitude, who will be there to deliver God's help to you when you need it?

*Action plan:* Remember people who labour over you---your parents, family, pastors, mentors, teachers today. Send a message of love and appreciation to them.

*Thought for the day:* God's gift in the form of men will multiply in our lives when we learn to appreciate them.

*Prayer:* Thank You heavenly Father for sending numerous helpers my way. Bless them and multiply them. Make them mighty and reward them abundantly in Jesus' name. Amen.

*CHRIO LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL*

*DATE:* Saturday, 2nd May, 2026

*TOPIC:* Love: How God Speaks to People

*PASSAGE:* John 13:34–35; 1 John 4:19

*WORD FOR TODAY*
_“Everyone will know you are My followers if you love one another.”_ — John 13:35

*MESSAGE*

In the Bible, love is not optional. It’s not a side thing. It’s the main way God shows Himself to the world. Jesus didn’t say, “People will know you are Mine because you know a lot, or because you are popular.” He said, _“They will know you are Mine by your love.”_ Love is how people see God living in us.

This love is not just a warm feeling. 1 John 4:19 says, _“We love because He first loved us.”_ That means we don’t love to look good. We love because God loved us first. His love fills us, then it flows from us to others.

Love is God’s way of talking to people. Words and debates can only go so far. But love goes deeper. Love makes people feel safe. And when people feel safe, their hearts open. When they feel valued, they start to listen to the truth.

Sharing Jesus starts with kindness. With listening. With patience. With staying faithful when no one is watching. Love prepares the heart. Then truth can grow there. In our families, with friends, and in church, love keeps us together. When we truly love, people see Jesus in us.

Today, God is asking us for something simple but serious: Let His love change how you see people. Let it change how you speak. Let it change how you stay with people, even when it’s hard. When love leads, we don’t push people to God. We draw them.

*DECLARE BOLDLY*
_God’s love changes how I treat people._

*PRAYER*
Father, thank You for loving me first. Let Your love guide my words, my heart, and my actions today. Teach me to treat people in a way that shows them Jesus and brings them closer to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

*DATE:* Friday, 1st May, 2026

*TOPIC:* Every Person Matters Most to God

*PASSAGE:* Genesis 2:18; Mark 8:36

*WORD FOR TODAY*
_“What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet lose their soul?”_ — Mark 8:36

*MESSAGE*

Today, people measure everything. We measure work. We measure success. We measure how busy we are. Phones are judged by speed. Friends are judged by what they can do. Time is judged by output.

But Jesus asks a question that changes everything: _How much is one person worth?_ In Mark 8:36, He says the soul is worth more than the whole world. This is not just strong language. It’s truth. The soul is the part of us that lives before God. It is made in His image. It will live forever. Everything else will pass away.

Genesis 2:18 shows us God’s heart for people. God said, _“It is not good for man to be alone.”_ This means relationships are not extra. They are God’s way of caring for our souls. We were made to need each other. We grow and stay strong through real connection.

When we forget this, we start using people. We value them only for what they give us. But when we remember that every soul is precious, our relationships change. We listen more. We become more patient. We show real care.

Sharing Jesus also changes. It’s not about winning arguments. It’s not about numbers. It’s about caring for what God calls valuable. When we see people as treasures, not tasks, our love becomes real. Our time with them means something. We speak truth with kindness.

God’s love is for everyone — young, old, strong, weak, sure, unsure. No one is left out. When we live like this, our daily lives show God’s love. People feel drawn to Him through us.

Today sets the tone for this month: See every person as a treasure from God. Speak, live, and love with this in mind. The greatest gift God has given us to care for is the human soul.

*DECLARE BOLDLY*
_Every person is precious and loved by God._

*PRAYER*
Father, help me to value what You value. Teach me to treat people with honour, knowing they will live forever. Let my life show Your heart for people. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

*CHRIO LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL*

*DATE:* Thursday, 30th April, 2026

*TOPIC:* Established in Resurrection Life

*PASSAGE:* Colossians 2:6–7; Hebrews 12:28

*WORD FOR TODAY*

"As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him: rooted and built up in Him, and stablished in the faith…" — Colossians 2:6–7

*MESSAGE*

Resurrection life is not meant to be seasonal; it is meant to be established. As this month draws to a close, God’s desire is that what He has revealed and worked in us becomes settled and enduring. Colossians 2:6–7 calls believers to continue walking in Christ — rooted, built up, and established in the faith.

To be established means to be firm, steady, and unshaken. Resurrection life anchors us in Christ so that we are not tossed by circumstances, emotions, or trials. It produces spiritual stability — a life grounded in truth and sustained by grace.

Hebrews 12:28 reminds us that we have received a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Resurrection life connects us to this unshakeable kingdom, shaping our worship, obedience, and devotion. What God builds through resurrection life is meant to last.

Many believers experience moments of spiritual renewal but fail to remain established. Resurrection life calls us beyond experiences into consistency — daily walking, continual obedience, and lasting transformation.

Today marks not an end, but a continuation. God invites you to carry resurrection life beyond this month — living rooted in Christ, established in faith, and fruitful in every season.

*DECLARE BOLDLY*

I am rooted, built up, and established in resurrection life.

*PRAYER*

Father, thank You for establishing me in Christ. Help me to walk daily in resurrection life, rooted in truth and strengthened by grace. Let my faith remain firm and my life fruitful. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

*APRIL CLOSING THOUGHT*

What God resurrects, He intends to establish. Walk forward carrying the life you have received.

*CHRIO LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL*

*DATE:* Wednesday, 29th April, 2026

*TOPIC:* Proclaiming the Risen Lord

*PASSAGE:* 1 Corinthians 15:20–22; Romans 10:9–10

*WORD FOR TODAY*

"But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept."
— 1 Corinthians 15:20

*MESSAGE*

Resurrection life must be proclaimed. The resurrection of Christ is not only a truth to be believed but a message to be declared. 1 Corinthians 15:20–22 presents Christ’s resurrection as the foundation of hope for all humanity — His victory over death guarantees life for those who belong to Him.

Romans 10:9–10 reveals that confession is central to faith. Resurrection life finds expression through bold declaration — speaking the truth of Christ’s lordship and resurrection. What we believe in our hearts must be voiced with conviction.

Many believers live the resurrection but remain silent about it. Yet resurrection life carries a voice. It compels us to testify of Christ’s victory, not with fear, but with confidence rooted in truth.

Proclaiming the risen Lord does not require perfection, but conviction. When resurrection life is active within us, our words align with our faith, and our testimony carries weight.

Today, God reminds you that the resurrection message is still powerful. As you proclaim Christ boldly — in word and in life — His resurrection life will touch others through you.

*DECLARE BOLDLY*

I boldly proclaim Jesus Christ as the risen Lord.

*PRAYER*

Father, thank You for the resurrection of Christ that gives life and hope. Help me to declare this truth boldly and faithfully. Let my words and my life testify of the risen Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

*DATE:* Tuesday, 28th April, 2026

*TOPIC:* Resurrection Life in Service

*PASSAGE:* Romans 12:11; Colossians 3:23

*WORD FOR TODAY*

"Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord."
— Romans 12:11

*MESSAGE*

Resurrection life expresses itself through faithful service. The life of Christ within us does not lead to passivity but to devotion. Romans 12:11 calls believers to serve with zeal, spiritual fervency, and diligence. Service becomes an overflow of resurrection life, not a burden.
Colossians 3:23 reminds us that our service is ultimately unto the Lord, not merely to people. Resurrection life transforms ordinary tasks into sacred acts when they are done with the consciousness of serving Christ.

Many believers grow weary in service because they rely on natural strength. But resurrection life supplies spiritual energy that sustains devotion. When Christ’s life fuels our service, we serve with joy, endurance, and sincerity.

Resurrection life also purifies our motives. We serve not for recognition or reward, but out of love for God and obedience to His will. Such service glorifies God and builds His kingdom.

Today, God invites you to serve from life, not obligation. Let resurrection life energize your service and make your labor fruitful and pleasing to Him.

*DECLARE BOLDLY*

I serve the Lord with fervency and joy.

*PRAYER*

Father, thank You for the privilege of serving You. Strengthen me by Your Spirit to serve faithfully and wholeheartedly. Let my service bring glory to You and blessing to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
