If votes don't count, why do politicians spend billions on campaigns & vote buying?
If votes don't count, why is there so much controversy around voter registration and PVC collection?
If votes don't count, why do politicians suddenly become friends with ordinary citizens during election season?
If votes don't count, why are there constant battles over voter turnout, polling units, election results, and electoral laws?
The same government that insists you obtain a National ID also requires voter registration because participation matters in a democracy.
Politicians don't spend huge amounts of money seeking votes because they believe votes are irrelevant. They do it because votes have the power to determine who occupies public office.
The biggest propaganda is convincing citizens that their votes don't matter. When people believe that, they stay home, and a small number of voters end up deciding the future for everyone else.
No electoral system is perfect, but not coming out to vote gives them the power to Rig & decides who wins.
