*BATHSHEBA'S HARMLESS BATH*

Ladies, please cover up properly, you don't know who is looking from a far

We usually pray,

Our Father who art in Heaven.....
Hallowed be thy name....
"Lead us not into temptation "....
'Bathsheba's Harmless Bath, I think we should pray to God not to lead others into temptation also.
If temptation is not good for us, we should not lead others into it .

Some persons blamed Bathsheba, some blamed David, why didn't he go to war?

But come to think of it,
What about Uriah?

Yes Uriah, why would he bring his wife to an apartment whose bathroom has no roof?

Some Uriahs are parents, when I see some ladies dressing I wonder whose child they are, perhaps their parents didn't see them before they left home, Some Siblings and some friends, they are the ones who talk you into buying those clothes that leaves your body unclad and vulnerable.

Some Facebook followers and friends bombarded your pictures with hundreds of likes and comments...... ' Sexy, Slayer..... and all that. You kept smiling at your phone and blushing as you read their comments.... Hmmmm.

They are not helping you, they can not take you home to their parents for blessing!

If you fall into the category of Uriah. Watch it!
Be responsible, Put a roof on your bathroom!
So your Bathsheba can have a harmless bath.

Parents..... Don't allow the World teach your children how to dress up....don't leave your bathroom uncovered! '

Husbands! Please put your wives under check. We know she is your wife, she can wear anything because you like it that way..... But don't raise eye brow if she was treated like a pr******te.....

Under Uriah's nose, Bathsheba got pregnant with another man's child.
Keep a roof over your bathroom. You have no idea if there is a man who is not at war or work strolling lazily around.

Just because a woman's sensitive parts was revealed to David. He was destroyed!

One would have thought Bathsheba's bath was a harmless one but look at the consequence :-

==>>> Absalom overthrew David and slept with his father's wife's.

==>>> War in David's house!

Please, stop tempting others in the name of fashion!

Stop showing us your breast and cleavages!
You don't have to wear a crop top for us to know you are slayer.....

If it is no big deal,wear clothes like that of a princess not a pauper.

You cant afford it?

*TOO LATE TO APOLOGISE*

"Where are you coming from by this time of the night?"

He thundered.

"Honey you won't believe what happened today. Oh God I'm so tired right now."

She replied as she yawned.

"I asked where you are coming from and you are vomiting rubbish. Does that answer my question? Are you trying to pretend you don't know there's no food in this house?"

He said fuming.

"Honey I'm sorry but you should hear me out first. I...."

Before she could complete that sentence, a thunderous slap kissed her left cheek and she passed out on the sofa.

"Get my dinner ready, after that you will tell me why you switched off your phone."

He said as he walked towards the bedroom.

When he noticed there was no response from his wife, he was infuriated.

He rushed towards her to unleash the rest of the demon in him but on getting close to her, he discovered she has passed out.

He was shocked.

Cold sweat appeared on his forehead and raced down his temple.

Fear gripped him.

He began to panic.

He dashed into the bedroom, picked his car key and darted out of the house to open his car.

He rushed back into the house almost immediately, lifted his wife and headed to his car.

As he made to start the ignition, the car key fell off his hand.

He was visibly shaking.

Picking up the car key proved to be a difficult task to him as he couldn't get hold of it.

He succeeded but had to use both hands to start the car ignition. His shaky hands turned against him.

His heart was racing.

He couldn't hold the steering firmly but he managed to drive his way to the hospital.

Getting to the hospital, he alerted the nurses. His wife was rushed into the emergency ward.

He became restless.

After about five minutes, his doctor appeared to him.

"Good evening Mr Collins."

"Good evening doctor, how's my wife?"

He said with great panic.

"Your wife was here few hours ago. She brought your mum to the hospital before going home and if she had been ten minutes late, your mum would have died.

She wanted to alert you but her phone battery went flat. I would have called you but she said she will notify you when she get home. What really happened?"

The doctor asked.

"Doctor, is my wife okay?"

He asked with teary eyes.

"Your mum is in the other ward Mr Collins."

The doctor replied.

He couldn't hide his impatience as he gripped the doctor's shirt.

"What about my wife doctor? Is she okay?"

The doctor managed to pull his hands off his shirt before letting the cat out of the bag.

"I'm sorry Mr Collins, your wife couldn't make it. She's dead.

He was shocked.

Cold shivers ran down his spine.

He began to shake.

Hot tears welled up his eyes and as he made an attempt to speak, they raced down his cheeks.

Liquid fluids leaked out of his nostrils and wetted his lips. His shirt became drenched with sweat.

He wanted to man up but he couldn't.

He groaned in pain and let out a mad shout.

"Noooooo!!!"

But then, it was too late to correct his mistake.

He should have heard her first as requested by her.

He should have controlled his anger.

He shouldn't have laid his hand on her.

He should have been patient with her.

He shouldn't have....

He should have....

But he didn't.

It was too late to apologize.

Don't make such a mistake.
Learn to be patient, for it could save you a life time regret. Sometimes events/situations are not actually what they appear to be, only patience can unravel the real reason/intention behind the action. Thanks

*THE DEAD EVANGELIST IN CHOIR ROBE!*

Brother Clifford made it a duty upon himself that come sunshine and rain, he will be at the Train Station distributing Gospel Tracts to passengers as they board or leave the train! This he did faithfully for several years!

One day at the church service after a rendition by the choir members in church, the choir was appreciated, praised and given a standing ovation! Brother Clifford, instead of being happy for them was very sad! He thought his soul winning efforts was not being acknowledged, rewarded or recognised by the church members and ministers!

He also noticed that nobody from the station has met him to say thank you for what he has been faithfully doing over the years!

Brother Cliffird decided to abandon the trips to the Train Station! Instead he joined the choir and started singing with them! To his surprise he was warmly welcomed! He discovered also that very soon he was singing and receiving standing ovations. He concluded in his mind he has just made the right decision!

One day, he sang Psalm 23 as a solo and by the time he finished singing, the whole church including the pastoral team and the elders were on their feet clapping and giving him a standing ovation!

Suddenly there arose an old man, a stranger in the midst of the congregation who asked to sing the same song while the church was still on their feet clapping for the soloist!
Against protocol, the pastor cynically allowed the old man to sing!

By the time the old man finished singing, the whole church was on their kneels, some weeping, others praying in repentance!

That day, there was no more sermon but an altar call! With sinners giving their lives and backsliders returning to their first love and the whole church rededicating its live!

Brother Clifford, the evangelist in choir robe, felt a deep hole in his heart! He felt empty! He saw the difference between entertainment for the appreciation of men and the ministration for the appreciation of heaven! He left the church with a heavy heart.

Without thinking of removing his choir robe, he headed for the Train Station empty handed as if in a trance! Getting there he met a man in the same spot where he used to stand to distribute gospel leaflets before! The man was distributing gospel tracts and handed him one. The Tract read "I WILL BE A FAITHFUL SOLDIER, I WILL DIE AT MY POST". It ended asking, "are you a faithful witness of the WORD?"

With tears in his eyes and a shaky voice, he asked the man how he came to start distributing the tracts at the spot in the Train Station! The busy man, not looking at him, told him of a dead man who used to come there come sunshine and rain to distribute tracts! That for months the man has not been there! He told him that he believed and concluded the man must be dead! He said the dead man once gave him a tract before that changed his commitment to Christ! And since the man was dead, he felt God wanted him to replace the dead man to continue the good work in the memory of the dead man!

The man kept emphasising, "The Dead Man, The Dead Man" which further sent Brother Clifford back to his kneel weeping and asking for God's forgiveness!

Hmm...
If you are still reading this believe me, God has set you up to read it because He has a purpose for your life!
Have you left your assignment because of some discouragements from cynics and critics? Have you abandoned the unheard, unseen and unsung praise of heaven for the standing ovation of men? Are you like the evangelist in choir robe? Or are you like the singer singing to entertain in church- the place of entertainment is in the theatre not the church! The church is for ministration in the Spirit by Worshiping God in The Spirit and The Truth! GOD ASKED ME TO TELL YOU TODAY THAT HE IS A GOD OF SECOND CHANCES RETURN BACK TO YOUR FIRST LOVE TODAY.

OBEDIENCE
Obedience is an act of submitting to an authority. It is compliance with the demand or request of someone superior to us. The general words for obedience in both Hebrew and Greek refer to hearing a superior authority. This is inherited in the relationship of man (as a creature) with God, the Creator. The New Covenant also described the need for obedience to God.
The most important issue in your life right now is your obedience to God. Every problem you face is related to this issue. Every solution in your life is ultimately found in obedience to God. Obedience opens to you the infinite wisdom of God. He has made life simpler than we make it. We depend on our own intelligence trying to figure out what to do, when all we really have to do is hear His voice and do what He tells us to do. That takes faith because we have to trust the wisdom and love of God for the outcome. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Obedience is better than religious activities. Obedience opens the resources of heaven. Nothing else will.
To understand the power of obedience we need to first understand:
I. Obedience is the designed relationship of man to God.
God did not design man to act alone without His divine guidance and care. He designed human beings to work in relationship with Him. That relationship is one in which the creature submits and obeys the Creator; and the Creator protects and provides for the creature. By design man is dependent upon God. There is only one source of life and that is God. Man cannot produce life independent of God. The way people thrive is to draw upon God’s life and that happens as they submit to Him and obey Him. Man is dependent on God. This is why obedience is very important because he cannot function successfully any other way.

God created man to benefit from His infinite resource of love, wisdom and power. It only happens in the context of obedience. Obedience is absolutely essential.
When God created Adam He placed him in a perfect paradise. The Garden of Eden was a perfect environment for Adam to enjoy. The only thing Adam was required to do was to simply obey God. He provided all the rest. So in Gen 2:16 God gave Adam a command, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.". I want you to notice the relationship God has with Adam. God has the right to command; Adam has the responsibility to obey. This was before man had ever committed even one sin. It was the Creator/creature relationship inherent in the way man was to operate.
The only thing that caused havoc in Adam’s life was his disobedience to God’s command. Adam was designed to reflect God’s glory and receive His provision through his submission to God. From the beginning obedience was required.
When God was about to destroy the world with a flood, the survival of the race depended upon one thing: Noah’s obedience to God. He told Noah to build an ark. He gave him specific instruction on how the ark was to be made. And the Bible says Noah did exactly what God told him to do. Obedience is a central theme in the story.
Jesus Christ earthly career was worked out step by step in perfect obedience to God's plan for Him as Saviour (Matt 3:15). He lived under the constant constraint of fulfilling this career, which climaxed in His baptism in blood on the cross (Luk 24:26). Knowing well from the start all that it involved (Mark 2:20), He set His face unflinchingly in the direction of its fulfillment (Luk 13:22). His whole career is described as "obedience" in Phil 2:6, Heb 5:8. It is the fulfillment of the prophecy of Psalm 40:7 (Matt 8) (Heb 10:7).
Christ's obedience was not automatic. He struggled greatly to overcome temptation from outside (Mark 1:13, Matt 16:23) and to subdue what in Himself required stern and wholehearted discipline to bring it fully into line with God's purpose. He shrank from the agony involved in obedience (Mat 26:38). Although it was not possible for Him to sin, He nonetheless was tempted with a severity that He alone could resist triumphantly (Heb 4:15).
In making His obedient choice of God's will, He was completely without sin (John 8:46, 2 Cor 5:21, Heb 4:15, 7:26). He claimed for Himself a perfect obedience in all the inward thoughts and tendencies of the heart: a continual openness of mind to learn what was God's will and a continual readiness to do it (John 8:28), an inability to act without divine leading (5:19) or to judge anything apart from God (v. 30), a continual concern never to fail God in His work (9:4). He had such an identity of will with the Father that He could say: "The Father is in me and I am in the Father" (10:8, 14:10). "I and the Father are one" (John 10:30) is not simply a metaphysical statement. It is His affirmation that in Himself "there is no purpose of self; no element of self-will; no possibility, even for a moment, of the imagination of separation".
CONCLUSION
We all live in a society that is dependent on obedience to authority. Like a loving parent, God sets standards for our good and to protect us from evil and harm. God desires obedience motivated not by fear but by love and trust. While we may or may not understand it, obedience actually gives us freedom to enjoy life as God intended, because it keeps us from becoming entangled or enslaved to those things that distract us.. Even though God’s command is sometimes difficult, or doesn’t make sense from our human perspective, obedience will always bring blessing, joy, and peace.
Disobedience always brings negative consequences, even for a spiritual leader.
Moses was able to see the land of Promise, but was not able to enter it because of his disobedienct act against God. Deut 3:26-28 gives an account of what God said to Moses about the Land of Promise.
Obeying God and ignoring evil advice bring lasting joy (Psalms 84:11, 119:2, Jer 7:23).

*Are There Two Jesuses?*

"David your food is getting cold", Sarah called, as her six year old son was glued to his Bible.
She snatched the Bible from him angrily.

"I've told you I'm late for work!" What are you looking for? For the past week you've been inseparable from this Bible," Sarah said as she helped her son to adjust his school uniform.

"Mom, I can't seem to find my answer , perhaps you can help me." David said.
"Okay but eat first and we can talk in the car." she replied.

On the way to school he asked "Mum, may I ask my question now? "
"Of course ",Sarah replied.
"Mum, are there two Jesuses?"

"What did you say?"
"Are there two Jesuses?", he repeated.
"Who taught you this heresy?", Sarah asked angrily. David knew his mum's temper and started shaking.

"Our new teacher taught us that... " Sarah interrupted
"So, your new teacher has been feeding you this nonsense!, David said, "No he said....." "Shut up!!" Sarah interjected"

"I will go and see him myself! I'd rather go to work late than allow this heresy to continue."

When they got to the school, Sarah walked straight to the headteacher's office and demanded that the teacher be sacked because the teacher was leading the children astray with heresies so the teacher was summoned to the office but he denied ever telling the children that there were two Jesuses.

So David, now in tears, was summoned and asked:

"Why do you think there are two Jesuses? "
Still crying he said:

"Our teacher told us that Jesus is our father and his children behave exactly like him. He said Jesus does not steal, lie, fight or stay away from church and his children are the same."
"Okay, that's true but that is not enough reason for you to believe that there are two Jesuses ", the headmistress said, wiping David's face. David continued:

"My mum says she is Jesus' daughter, she keeps singing: "I am a child of God", but mum still fights. I saw her take daddy's money last month and when daddy asked her, she lied about it. Also we have not been to church for about five months. Just this morning, she fought with daddy and was very rude to him so I've been thinking that Mummy's Jesus is a different Jesus from my teacher's Jesus; that's why I kept searching my Bible to see if I would find my mummy's Jesus in there.......

By this time, Sarah was in tears and both the headmistress and David's teacher were looking down in embarrassment!

Sarah was so ashamed that she could not look into her son's eyes........

Those things that were gain to me I counted loss for Christ. I count all these things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered loss of all things and do count them as dung that I may win Christ. Phil. 3vs7-9.
Brethren, this is to remind us that what is that thing that you think is of a great gain to you than the Christ Jesus which keeps you farther away from the love of God, Paul says I count them all loss not for anything but the pleasure in them is but for a while it is only in Christ that there is everlasting pleasure and joy. Child, money, houses, large investments, sexual pleasure, cars, pride, and the things of this world can only give few minutes satisfaction but investing in kingdom matters through Christ last forever. Are you investing rightly or all you do is for self worth and satisfaction think about it and change your ways now before it is too late. God bless you, good morning. Have a blessed day.
