Jesus said, And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32.
The truth that we have the power of sonship is what we must relate with as becoming saints.
There are three power of the sons of God. First, the power to go and sin no more, John 8:11. Second, the power to prosper in our body, soul and spirit, 3John 1:1-4:. Last, the power to overcome the world 1 John 5:1-5
The very day we saw the kingdom of God, we had been given these power. They are as entrance form obtained and filled to be admitted into a school of learning. When admission is obtained, one can fill acceptance form after paying for it and majestically enter into the the citadel of learning and enjoy all that is obtained in it.
The kingdom of God is right here on earth with us. We see and enter it by being born again and being born of water(water baptism) and of the Spirit(Holy Ghost and fire baptism) respectively.
With the duo we are enjoying everything in the kingdom of God each day.
The grace to have this understanding properly in this prigrimage journey and relate with it daily, we receive now in Jesus name. Amen.

THE ROOTS OF ALL SINS

Deuteronomy 28

1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shall harken diligently to the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.
15 But it shall come to pass if thou will not harken diligently to the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day, that all these curses shall come upon thee and overtake thee.

Jesus had revealed to us two of the three roots of all sins. He is set to inform us of the third root now. Are we good to proceed? Okay then let's proceed.

LAWLESSNESS

Lawlessness simply means living a disobedient life.
From the beginning it has been in the nature of man to disobey the voice of the Lord God. Adam and Eve disobeyed and their disobedience led to the condemnation that came on all men. The only way out of condemnation is being in Christ as it is written in Romans 8:1 that, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. We can obey God only when we are walking after the Spirit, but not after the flesh. Walking in the flesh is the source of living a disobedient life that brings curses, but not blessings. But by walking in the Spirit, one will live an obedient life.

The grace to walk in the Spirit, so we can obey God's commandment as expected of us so we won't be lawless, we receive now in Jesus name. Amen.

God, The Consuming Fire.

Hebrews 12
29 For our God is a consuming
fire.
2 Corinthians 5
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us we pray you in Christ's stead be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Jesus' mission on earth is simply that God with Him who knew no sin was made sin for us so we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

This calls for celebration among believers that we have become a cosuming fire as our God on earth through Jesus, our Lord. God made His angels spirits, but made His ministers flame of fire. Hebrews 1:7. This reminds me of a day in the past when someone called my name three times and fire started burning in the area where I was. We can consume enemies of God(sins, sicknesses and Satan) in our lives and also cosume them from our ways.

We can win every battle of life through Christ who strengthens us,, as long as we dwell under the canopy of the righteousness of God each moment of our lives on earth. Remember our personal righteousness are like filty rags before God. The grace to be God's righteousness alone and become His flame of fire or consuming fire on earth, we receive now in Jesus name. Amen

ROOTS OF ALL SINS

1 John

Chapter 2

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world, if any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away and the lust there of, but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. KJV

Jesus had begun to teach us some things about the roots of all sins yesterday. We are continuing with the next root today. Should we make progress? Okay let's advance further.

TEMPTATION

Temptation is also termed the lust of the world.
There are three major things that define temptation or the lust of the world.
These are: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. In the garden of Eden, Eve displayed these things in Genesis 3:6.

She saw that the tree was good for food, that is, lust of the flesh, which simply means that it can bring nourishment to the body. It is of nutritional value to the body. So she went for it without considering the commandment of God which she stated clearly herself in Genesis 3:3.

She also saw that it was pleasant to the eyes, that is, the lust of the eyes, which means that the fruit was beautiful, attractive and loving. She went for it and disobeyed God instead.

She also saw the tree of the fruit as the one to be desired to make one wise, that is, the pride of life, which simply means that she had arrived.
She associated with the tree and ate of it's fruit and gave to her husband who ate of it also.

She neither submitted to God, nor resisted the devil and sin had it's way into her life and her husband's. James 4:7-10. Their actions of lust for the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil put all of us into trouble of becoming sinners that lost the glory of God. Romans 3:23.

This is the exact picture of men and women in our society today. The lust of the world or temptation has made many to find it difficult to obey the voice of God. Eagerness to observe these three sure temptation that lead one to committing various sins ( Mark 7:20-23; Romans 1:21-32; Galatians 5:19-21; etc) just to have one's way, has made many people to sin against God.

The grace to avoid the lust of the world or temptation (Matthew 6:13) at all costs, so we won't sin against God, we receive now in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

ROOTS OF ALL SINS

Romans

Chapter 14

22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he allowed.

23 And he that doubted is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. KJV

Jesus wants to teach us the roots of sins, because He had sent Holy Ghost, our Comforter and the Spirit of truth to reveal the mind of God and His mind to us before now. Let's study these three categories of the roots of sins together.

These roots of sins are: doubt; temptation and lawlessness. In this lesson we shall be discussion will focus on doubt only. Are we good to go? Let's proceed.

DOUBT

Doubt is simply termed lack of faith.
Anything that lacks faith is sinful. We may begin to wonder why we do some things and sin is beckoning us to apply it in the process of doing those things. It is not far fetched from the truth that whatsoever is not of faith is sin. There is nothing bad in trying to achieve a goal in life, but what is bad in it is if that which we want to pursue lacks faith. Taking for instance, searching for a job is not bad, it's the will of God for us to survive, but what God actually wants for us is that He may become our Boss. But if we actually want a job, then we must be ready to get it in the right way by having faith in God. Mark 11:22-24.

Every job out there is not fit for the children of God to be engaged in. Can we say, It is proper for a child of God to work in a cigarette's or tobacco's company, or in a brothel, or in a beer parlour, or in a club house, or in any job that pollutes the integrity of a child of God. We may be promised fat salary in the job, but if God is not interested in seeing His child working in such environment, then the child of God must not be attracted to the benefits that are attached. He or she must not in the first place desire to work there.

At the onset of any project, God must be involved. He must be the Master Planner. For instance, the first thing to do is to seek for God's interest in a matter in the place of prayers. James 1:5-8; 1 Thessalonians 5:17. We need to have faith in God so we can pray to Him and seek His counsel. If after He had given His counsel, we still go ahead doing it in our own ways, we have sinned.

The grace to have faith in the counsel or commandment of God, never to doubt His instructions, but obey them to the later, we receive now in Jesus name. Amen.

Genesis 2:21-25..And therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and they were not ashamed.

Jesus has a beautiful plan for our marriages. He.demands that we men leave our parents to be with our wives. Many men had failed in this regard. The strong cord they have with their parents may want to extend into their new home. This is why men are not advised to leave, but are commanded to do so. If I may ask, have you left your parents to be with your wife or not. If yes, I congratulate you, but if no, amend your ways.

The parents are also expected to avoid any interventions in the new home set up by their children. This attitude will guarantee proper intimacy between the newly wedded couple. Some mothers may be afraid of leaving their sons or daughters in the care of their daughters in law or sons in law respectively. This is not supposed to be so. It is wisdom for parents to help them know each other very well.

To the couple themselves, home is set up for fruitfulness in child-bearing and if this doesn't work earlier, there shouldn't be any course for alarm. They need to wait on God for His Divine intervention. This is another area parents may want to come in with the aim of assisting them to fasrtrack their fruitfulness. New couple must be careful to avoid being led astray. Home is also set up for multiplication of resources. Both human and capital resources are multiplied in the home. They plan to work, invest and save money to meet capital projects. They plan on getting things that could aid their comfortability. The home is likwise set up for replenishment of the earth. This is immense contribution of the couple to their immediate society. It is also set up for subduing the earth. This earth is given to man to subdued. Man is in charge of the earth. Each family should subdue it for their own and others advantage.

The tendency to cheat on each other shouldn't come to being. There should be mutual love and submission to each other. The home must be built on the Rock of Ages. The devil may use some schemes to bait either of them, they must stand their ground not to fall into temptations. Jesus taught us to pray against temptations. We may quit job, refuse gifts of any kind or run for our lives so as to keep our marriages intact in the will of God.

The grace to leave your parents,so as to build strong home, receive now in Jesus name. Amen.

Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

Jesus ordered every disciple of His to do the needful. What's the needful? Preaching Jesus to every creature. When is it required of us to do this? In the daytime. We aren't doing this as often as He did it while He was on earth. He preached all day. If we follow this pattern, we shall win more souls to heaven. Some of us think that we can through festivity of Christmas win souls. Well it may work, but it wasn't for a particular day that we should set aside to witness the world. It must be a regular practice for every church to set out to preach. Many great things shall be experienced. Things like healing the sick, cleansing the lepers, raising the dead, casting out the devils, etc.

Many ministers expect lost souls to come into the church on their own accord. No, it doesn't work that way, we are supposed to go and preach to them, so that after they have believed, they will on their own accord search for a place of worship for themselves. We may invite them to worship God with us, but we mustn't force our place of worship on them. They have the Spirit of God to lead them to where to worship their heavenly Father. By this method we shall have sound Holy Ghost filled brethren in our congregation. But some of us prefer to use big tagged programs to bring them in to the body of Christ. This may be okay to some extent, but it isn't all that good. If we want to catch fishes, where do we go? To the sea or ocean of course. So if we must catch men for Jesus, let's go to the sea or ocean of the world to catch them for Him. We began to hear of many attrocities in the body.of Christ , because there are mixed multitudes in the body. To curb this menace, we need to follow the examples of Jesus how He was filled with the power of Holy Ghost and went about doing good. Acts 10:38.

Many churches priotize prayers over teaching of the word. This is not supposed to be so at all. Prayers are very important and it must be fixed in the appropriate time. The best time to address souls to be won for Christ is in the night watch. Jesus prayed all night, but have His teachings all day. There is need for knowing that will lead us to the place of prayers. We shall do exploit for our God, if we know Him very well.

The grace to value teachings in the daytime and value prayers in the night watch so we may win souls for our Lord Jesus Christ, we receive now in Jesus name. Amen.
