Reflection
Wednesday of Week 23 Year 2 calls us to discernment, detachment, and hope in God’s promises.
Paul advises the unmarried and married to live faithfully in the present, recognizing that worldly attachments are temporary and the form of this world is passing away.
He reminds us to approach life with perspective—mourning, rejoicing, or acquiring goods—without being bound by them, trusting in God’s providence.
Psalm 45 celebrates beauty, honor, and divine blessing, calling us to pay attention to God’s guidance and the legacy of His promises.
In the GOSPEL, Jesus blesses the poor, the hungry, and those who weep, assuring them of the kingdom of God and great reward in heaven.
He also warns the rich, satisfied, and those who laugh now, reminding us of the fleeting nature of earthly consolation.
We are called to rejoice in God’s promises, live with detachment, and place our hope in the eternal rewards He offers.
