*WELCOME TO A SEASON OF THE LORD'S RAIN*
*ASK FOR RAIN ...IN THE TIME OF THE LATTER RAIN*
“Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain…” Zechariah 10:1
The instruction in this verse is remarkably specific. God does not leave us wondering what we should do. He tells us to ask.
1. *ASK THE LORD FOR RAIN*
“Ask ye of the LORD rain…”
Rain represents what only God can provide—the divine supply that produces fruitfulness, growth, increase and the desired change.
*Rain has no substitute* . A farmer may prepare the ground, plant the seed and cultivate the field, but he cannot manufacture rain. There are things human effort cannot produce. There are dimensions of fruitfulness that can only come from God.
Therefore, our responsibility is clear:
Ask the Lord for rain.
*Ask for only what God Can give*
We are not merely to desire the rain; we are employed to ask for it.
Our land has received so many seeds during TRANS we need rain .
2. *ASK FOR THE LATTER RAIN*
The instruction is not simply to ask for rain, but to ask for rain *in the time of the latter rain.*
The latter rain speaks of the rain that brings the crop toward maturity,
the rain that completes what has been started and prepares the harvest.
It is the rain of maturity, completion, ripening and harvest.
The farmer does not rejoice merely because he planted. His joy comes when what he planted reaches harvest.
The latter rain brings beauty to the farmer's labour. It brings the field to maturity. It turns expectation into manifestation and labour into harvest.
Spiritually, we can see this as a season in which God brings His work toward greater maturity and fruitfulness.
3. *THE RAIN PRODUCES A CHANGE OF STATUS*
When the rain comes, the condition of the field changes.
Dryness gives way to freshness.
Barrenness gives way to fruitfulness.
Labour gives way to harvest.
And the farmer's sorrow is turned into the joy of harvest.
There are situations where what is needed is not simply more human effort, but divine rain.
4. *GOD RESPONDS WHEN WE DO OUR PART*
The verse continues:
“…so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.”
Our responsibility is to ask. God's responsibility is to send the rain.
*And the provision is not presented as being for a select few. The verse speaks of “every one grass in the field.”*
There is divine provision available for all that we ask, Individual, family, church , Organization, Nation...who cares to ask
It is not normal for a farmer to plant precious seeds and accept a condition of no rain, he will lament, he will be in pain...
Likewise, we must not become comfortable with spiritual dryness, barrenness or unfruitfulness when God has provided the means for fruitfulness.
If we desire increase in the work of God, in soul winning, in discipleship, in spiritual growth and in the manifestation of God's purposes among us, we must do our part.
*ASK FOR RAIN* .
We are not in a season to fold our hands and complain about dryness.
*We are in the time of latter rain, so*
*ASK FOR RAIN.*
We are in the time of latter rain.
The instruction is clear.
The provision is available.
Our responsibility is to ask.
*ASK YE OF THE LORD RAIN IN THE TIME OF THE LATTER RAIN.*
