God always had my back, and He has yours. To risk trusting—to risk loving—is scary. Maybe you’ve tried and it didn’t work. Perhaps at this point you’re just numb, unable to feel much of anything at all. I get it. But life without loving others is not living at all.

I refuse to live in fear of what people may do. When I get hurt again, God will be there to pick me up. People do hurt us, and relationships fail. But I chose to open my heart and trust in God because regret is something to fear. There are no answers to the questions that follow regret. If only I had...Why did I...? Don’t be so afraid of rejection that you welcome regret. Instead, cling relentlessly to hope.
