Deut 28:1

If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.

Those who were greatly blessed from the scripture were chosen, appointed and elected ; there are others who were chosen,appointed and anointed and yet failed greatly.

The one common denominator between those who were greatly blessed and those who greatly failed was OBEDIENCE

Not partial obedience as in the case of Saul (I Sam 15:8-9)

Not suspended obedience as in the case of Jonah

All He demand from you is a Total Obedience

Your great exploit this year may not fully depend on how much you can fast and pray, nor study the scriptures but solely dependent on how much you are Obedient to the law and statute of Jehovah, how detailed you are to obeying His instructions.

May the grace to be Obedient to the Law and Statute of the Lord be supplied unto you this new week and month in the name of the Lord Jesus.

There is a land already in place for you to possess but this Jordan may pose a threat of possessing it.

Therefore, I pray this morning, every barrier , obstacles or limitation that may deny you access into possessing your own land and inheritance this new month, they are cleared off in the name of Jesus, every Jordan before you is dried up, every mountain before you shall crumble before you in the name of Jesus.

This is month shall be into you a month of Help and Completeness.

And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the Lord , and the king's house,

(Now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire,) that then king Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.

And Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they pleased him not.

And he said, What cities are these which thou hast given me, my brother? And he called them the land of Cabul unto this day.

Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities❗

They pleased him not ❗

Twenty cities is not twenty houses

Twenty cities is not twenty estate

Ibadan is a city, Lagos is a city, New York is a City, twenty of the likes of this was given to a man and he said "they pleased him not"

Who was Hiram?

Why would he reject a whole twenty cities? Twenty cities is massive

Hiram was a very close friend of David ( I King 5: 1b), he understood the place of a relationship an asset hence, the friendship was extended to his friend's son. He supplies all that was needed for the construction of the house of God and the King's palace

Solomon wants to honor that man who was there in David's life time and after his life time. He thought of what can be done for this great friend, he concluded on building him twenty cities which he did and on the day of commissioning , the man who was suppose to shout woowu at the sight of this cities said "And he said, What cities are these which thou hast given me, my brother? And he called them the land of Cabul(not pleasing) unto this day.
1 Kings 9:13

It was an honest offering with good intention but it pleased him not.

The offerings you gave all though 2020, does it please HIM❓

The services to Him in 2020, can He says, it has pleased Him❓

I understand that people come to church with different motives, reasons and mindset

To some people, it is to meet that Honorable minister, to some, it is to see the pastor with the motive of scamming him, to some, it may be to woo that lady in the ushering, protocol or choir department

It is important you know that when you come to the house of God with such mindset, such offering is Cabul

You fast and pray incessantly to be noticed, gave big offerings in the church just because you want the pastor to notice you, you become a philanthropist overnight because you want to become a deacon or deaconess, you have merchandize the pulpit of God just because you want to use the latest car, saying that which the Lord has not commanded you, YOUR SERVICE IS CABUL❗

Paul said in Romans 12: 2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God"

If your service is NOT pleasing to HIM, it cannot be acceptable by HIM.

Go extra mile , make extra effort to ensure your offering, services, time and resources this year doesn't end up to become Cabul

You will know Him better this year, you will serve Him better this year and your reward shall be massive this year.Amen
