“THERE IS POWER IN HIS WORD” YEWA SOUTH-EAST WOMEN GATHER IN SPIRITUAL REVIVAL AND IMPACTFUL FELLOWSHIP

The 25th Local Conference of the Women’s Organization, Yewa South-East Archdeaconry, was successfully held from Saturday 16th to Sunday 17th May, 2026 at St. John's Anglican Church under the inspiring theme: “There is Power in His Word” (Agbára Wà Nínú Ọ̀rọ̀ Rẹ̀) with reference to Hebrews 4:12.

The conference commenced with a spiritually uplifting Welcome Service on Saturday, 16th May, during which the sermon was delivered by Revd Canon Taiwo A. E. Doluwamu. In his message, he charged all delegates to prepare their hearts to receive from the powerful Word of God that would be ministered throughout the conference, emphasizing that God’s Word remains living, transformative, and capable of bringing divine change to every situation.

Also on the first day, the Vice President, Mrs. Sarah Olubukola Babatunde, delivered a thought-provoking charge on the conference theme, encouraging women to remain steadfast in obedience to God’s Word and to continually draw strength, wisdom, and direction from it.

The conference featured several impactful activities which greatly enriched the spiritual and physical lives of the participants. These included Theme Exposition, Bible Study, Bible Quiz, enlightening talks, and a Health Talk on Rheumatism, alongside other engaging sessions aimed at promoting spiritual growth, sound health awareness, and Christian fellowship among women of the Archdeaconry.

The conference was rounded off on Sunday, 17th May with a colorful Thanksgiving Service. The sermon was delivered by Ven. J. O. Babatunde, who stressed the dangers and consequences of disobedience to God’s Word while encouraging believers to live lives fully surrendered to God in obedience and faithfulness.

The 25th Local Conference was indeed a moment of revival, impartation, learning, and renewed commitment to God’s Word. Delegates departed spiritually refreshed, empowered, and encouraged to continually uphold the truth and power embedded in the Word of God.

To God be all the glory.

REPORT AND APPRAISAL OF THE VISIT OF FOUNTAIN OF HOPE SOCIETY, OGUN STATE CHAPTER

The visit of the Fountain of Hope Society, Ogun State Chapter was a remarkable and spiritually uplifting occasion, marked by love, generosity, and a strong expression of Christian fellowship. The programme reflected the Society’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian service and care for the less privileged within the community.

A major highlight of the visit was the outreach programme, during which no fewer than twenty-five (25) less privileged individuals and widows were presented with food items. This compassionate gesture brought relief and joy to the beneficiaries and demonstrated the practical expression of Christian love.

The exhortation was delivered by Ven. J. O. Babatunde (JP), whose message was both inspiring and impactful. Drawing from Genesis 1:26a, he emphasized that humanity is created in the image of God, thereby affirming the dignity and worth of every individual. He urged believers to reflect God’s nature through acts of love, kindness, and service.

Further expounding his message with Matthew 25:40, he stressed that service to the needy is service unto Christ Himself. He encouraged members to remain steadfast in their commitment to caring for the vulnerable, noting that every act of kindness carries eternal value.

In addition, Ven. Babatunde strongly encouraged members of the Society in Yewa South East Archdeaconry to emulate such acts of generosity and commitment, with a view to strengthening the Society within the Archdeaconry. He emphasized that such dedication would enable the Archdeaconry to effectively meet its responsibilities at the Zonal, State, National, and International levels.

APPRAISAL
The visit was highly commendable and impactful. The integration of spiritual exhortation with practical outreach made the programme holistic and deeply meaningful. Notable strengths include:

The charge given to the Yewa South East Archdeaconry is particularly significant, as it provides a clear pathway for growth, increased participation, and greater relevance of the Society at all levels.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the visit of the Fountain of Hope Society, Ogun State Chapter was a great success. The exhortation by Ven. J. O. Babatunde (JP), alongside the outreach to widows and the less privileged, left a lasting spiritual and social impact. The programme served as a powerful reminder that true Christian faith is expressed through both devotion to God and service to humanity.
