THE MID-EAST SYNOD MISSION PUT SMILES ON THE FACES OF THE PEOPLE OF EDDA PRESBYTERY
It was Adams Scott who Said "Remember, there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.” And Michelle Obama affirms this postulation by saying that "Friendships between women, as any woman will tell you, are built of a thousand small kindnesses...swapped back and forth and over again.”
The wind of the Mid-East Mission Department's benevolent cm agape was greatly felt by the good people of Edda Presbytery as the Team of The Mid-East Synod Mission unceremoniously visited the Presbytery on Sunday 7th July, 2024 with gift items (wrappers).
The Mission delegates ably led by her effervescent, vivacious, cm always exhilarated Mission Coordinator; *Rev. Samuel N. Olee (aka Isi Karaka) were warmly received by the ebullient pragmatic cm action Moderator of the Presbytery; Rev. Uka Uka Okorie along side the revered Kirk Session at The PCN, GATEWAY PARISH.
The Mission Coordinator with his team in the spirit of Ubuntu (oneness) shared wrappers to about 11 Widows depicting "The Church as the Mother of the Saint" who should give succor to her children especially in times of distress.
The recipients of these gifts could not help but expressed the magnitude of their ecstasy and felicity for the magnanimity of the Synod Mission shown to them. No wonder Roy T Bennett said "Be the reason someone smiles. Be the reason someone feels loved and believes in the goodness in people.”
This act kindness executed was not without the input cm approval of the unwearying, unflagging, and assiduous Synod Moderator, Rt. Rev. Ejie Ogbonnaya (JP) and his crew of executives, knowing for sure that this sacrifice is targetted on the fulfillment of "Missio Dei among the populus Dei* (people of God)".
We sincerely appreciate the revered leadership of the Edda Presbytery for opening their doors to receive us and for giving the plaplatform to execute opus dei (work of God).
