The Lord gave us a word from the book of Matthew 5:14-16,
'Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.' From here, the Lord spoke to us that the year 2012 is our year of UNLIMITED IMPACT!
You might be wondering how the word he spoke connect to the word he gave us from the Bible, as you read on, you will see the connection.
In verse 14 from the Scripture above, the Lord Jesus Himself declare and said, that YOU are the Light of the World! That declaration is directed to the church, the believers in Christ Jesus, to those who have publicly accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
What do you really take light for? Light was first mentioned in the Bible in the book of Genesis 1:3, ‘And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.’ That tells us something, where never you see God, there must be light, also, when ever light is, God will also be there! in fact, in 1st John 1:5, the Bible says God is Light, John 1:9, Jesus is reffered to as the True Light! if you go up and start reading chapter one of Genesis from verse 1, you will appreciate why God had to call for light. In other words, there is an urgent need for light when ever there is darkness! This world is gradually being taking over by darkness and the only antidote for darkness is light! In view of these, you will begin to appreciate your position here in the world. As a child of God, you are not here to be like them, but you are to show the way! The book of Isaiah gave us the prophetic agenda of God as we approach the end of the world. Isaiah 60:1-3 says, 'Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.’ God has programmed the world to end some day, and that is happening soon. there are events that will point to us as we approach the end of the age. Darkness and Gross Darkness summarized what the turn of events will look like. However, if you read further, there is an exception to the rule! I PROPHESY that as darkness takes over the world, you will be an exception in Jesus Name! When you look at what the scriptures have to say about the relationship between light and darkness, it will inform you how relevant light is to man, both physically and Spiritually. Light rules the darkness, light shines in darkness, light is powerful, light reveals, light attracts, thus you are the light of the world!
However, there is a charge given to you in all of these. Matthew 5:16 says '...let your light so shine!' Isaiah 60:1 say Arise, 'shine...!' You are the light but you have to shine or else, the darkness that is coming will cover you up! John 1:5 says that 'And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not!' The light has to be shining for the darkness not to be able to handled! It did not say that the darkness cannot comprehend the light, but rather the darkness cannot comprehend the shining light! That is impact! Your Impact is not going to be just because you are the light, but rather because you are the shining light! It is impact by shining! The whole world needs light everyday! it is light that powers the world! This is the season of the church!
Impact among many other things means influence, importance, relevance. I PROPHESY, in this year 2012, the world will know your relevance! The world will celebrate your importance! In this year 2012, your influence will reach far and near in the Mighty name of Jesus! You will matter in this year! Those who have thought that nothing good can come out of someone like you will be dazed as a result of your impact this year in Jesus Name! I PROPHESY that every good thing in you will find expression this year in Jesus Name! Your light will shine this year!
Matthew 5:14&15 say that you are divinely positioned. 'A city that is set on an hill...' This year 2012, you will not be hidden, your gifting, talents abilities that God has packaged in you will no more be hidden! Men that are relevant to your destiny will locate you this year! your business will no longer be hidden, I see the Light of Heaven beaming upon your certificate, jobs are locating you right NOW!
Isaiah 60:1-3 has declared concerning you that while the darkness takes over the world, the Lord will arise upon you, that the gentiles shall come to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising. men that matters will look for you this year. Highly placed people will ask for your help this year! nothing will stop your light from shining! you will make IMPACT in this year 2012 in the Mighty Name of Jesus!
