Christian Faith and Fellowship Mission

Christian Faith and Fellowship Mission Christian Faith and Fellowship Mission started as a Church, on Sunday 22nd July, 1984. They came together in 1972 to begin scripture Union Pilgrims Fellowship.

It was on that day that the name Christian Faith and Fellowship Mission was given to the body. Earlier on, there used to be the Christian Fellowship Group, to which many members belonged. Christian Fellowship Group was a Fellowship Group that was an Evangelical outfit in which born again Christians in Ado-Ekiti performed their Christian Evangelical duties of soul winning. Some of the founding

members of Christian Faith and Fellowship Mission came to Ado-Ekiti from various places either on transfer or to seek secular appointments. The founding leader, Dr. Saanu, a government employee was transferred to Ibadan in 1972. In 1973 members decided to open the fellowship to other people who were not scripture Union members. A Citywide Crusade was conducted by members in August and September 1973, many converts who gave their lives to Jesus were alien to the Scripture Union activities. This caused the fellowship to be divided into two. A part in the Scripture Union while the other part became the Christian Fellowship Group Ado-Ekiti. There were some members who remained in the Scripture Union Pilgrim and also retained membership of the Christian Fellowship Group. Such founding members were:

i. B.A. Orimolade

ii. A.A. OIudu

iii. Sister Grace E. Idowu (DECEASED)

iv. Sister Dorcas Falodun

Those founding members who did not belong to the Scripture Union but were in the fellowship Group were Brothers Olu Akerele and Olusegun Tubi. There were some others who left the town almost immediately. The fellowship continued to evangelise Ekiti towns and villages up till when Christian Faith and Fellowship Mission was born as a full fledge Church in 1984. The Church has started to preach the Gospel and establish branch Churches. Today, there are branches in some states of Nigeria such as Ekiti, Ondo, Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Kogi, Kwara and Edo States.

...And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them...Re 14:13 (KJV)
Today marks exactly a year when an icon in The Faith (Rev. ORIMOLADE, Benjamin Adebayo) departed this wretched world.

THE BOOK OF ESTHER (Study 7)
Text: Est. 2: 1 - 18. 21/01/2013
Memory Verse: John 3:27
ESTHER MADE QUEEN
In this study we see the display of God’s sovereign power over all the affairs of men. God in His mighty power had earlier put down one that was high and mighty (Vashti) from her exalted position as queen. It so pleased the same God to lift up one of low degree (Esther) to an exalted position. 1Sam. 2: 6-8; Lk. 1: 52; 1Sam.16:11-12.
We need to know as believer s, whatever position we may be now, God knows and that we must with humility use such to the glory of God and in due course, he will exalt us. 1Pet. 5:6.
1. THE SEARCH FOR A NEW QUEEN. Est. 2:1-14.
* The king issued commandment and decreed that beautiful young virgins be gathered and brought to Sushan by commissioners in all the provinces of the empire.
* The Lord came to seek and save the lost sheep and has sent all His disciples as He had been sent. Ezek. 34:16; Lk. 19:10; Jhn. 15:16; 20:21.
* The virgins who have prospects for the queenship were placed under the custody of Hegai to prepare them and purify them in readiness for the king.
* Every believer is being prepared, purified and made ready for the Lord (the Bride) by the Holy Spirit through the authority and teachings of the church. Mat. 28:18-20; Acts 2:42; Eph. 5: 24-27; Tit. 2: 11-15; Heb. 12:13-17.

2. ESTHER CHOSEN AS QUEEN. Esth. 2:4-7
* Esther an orphan, adopted by her cousin, Mordecai, who was fair and beautiful was brought also unto the kings house for she could not hide.
* Mordecai adopted Esther (Star) he had no child and as he was carried away in captivity to Babylon by Nebuchadnezer he didn’t forget his cousin Esther. How did he and her cousin get to shushan the palace from Babylon. He did not have any thought that Esther could be useful to him in live and how much of been promoted through her to the second in rank in the kingdom of Ahasuerus. Do you know that person who could be your brothers/ sisters son or daughter you refused to help or had helped could be instrumental to your promotion or other wise. Eccl. 11:1-2; Acts 23:15-22.

MORDECAI PROBABLY BROUGHT ESTHER TO JOIN THE BEAUTY CONTEST. Esth.2:8.
* No doubt Mordecai was a worker (gate keeper) in Shushan palace. He heard about the 1st beauty contest, where many maidens were already gathered. He probably tipped Esther who slept in the gate along with him to contest. There are so many lessons to learn from this.
* He didn’t underate himself as a slave even gatekeeper.
* He believed as a Jew a Benjamite he could achieve anything with God. Gen. 11:6. If you are in one mind with God this year you will achieve many things.
* By faith, he didn’t underrate Esther who was a slave and who was presented.
* In this process God was working out preservation of the Jews from the hand of Haman for total destruction.
* My friend do you know you are in C.F.& F.M. for a purpose. Do everything within your power to fulfil God’s desire for your life.
* If will we live soberly, righteously and godly our light will definitely shine anywhere we may be. Mat.5: 13 -16.
* Esther found favour with Hegai and (1). She was given all that she needed for purification without any delay. (2). She was given such things that belonged to her, seven maidens to serve her (3). And also the best place of the house of women. Est. 2: 9, 15. (4). There was God’s influence on Hegai. (5). God favoured Esther to preserve the Jews.
* Walking in the commandment of God, holding to his mercies and truth, we shall definitely find favour in the sight of God and man. Prov. 3:1-4 as was for Joseph Gen. 39: 6, 21 and even our Lord Jesus. Lk. 2: 52.

ACTION POINT:- ARE YOU FIT FOR THE BEAUTY CONTEST OF HEAVEN. REV. 19:7.

GOD - (Study 13)
MemoryVerse:Jh.14:2 Date:12/09/2011.
Text: Deut. 8:1-10, IKings 17:1-16.

GOD
During our last study, we saw our God as a great Provider. We were able to study some of His Divine Providence.Today we shall see more of His Divine Providence and those who received from His providence.

1. PLENTIFUL SUPPLIES
1.God supplied the needs of Israel in the wilderness. Deut. 2:7, 8:2-9.2.He supplied Elijah’s needs in time of famine. IKings 17:1-7,9-10, 16. 3.He supplied Elijah’s needs in the wilderness. IKings 19:6-8. This God’s supply took Elijah on a journey for forty days and nights. The same God is our God in Christian Faith and Fellowship Mission. He can still supply your needs in times of your needs.4.God supplied water for the army of three kings. 2Kings 3:6-7, 9, 10-11, 13-14, 15-17, 20. 5.God provided for a woman a prophet’s widow and mother of two sons who were about to be made bondmen. 2Kings 4:1-7. 6.God provided for Samaria in time of famine. 2Kings 7:1-2, 8-9, 16-17. 7.God provided for the multitude that followed Jesus Christ. Mt. 14:15-21. 8.God is still able today to provide for the needs of His children. Phil. 4:19. 2.

DIVINE PREPARATION TO PROVIDE FOR BELIEVERS

1.He prepares and supplies overflowing blessings. Ps. 23:5. (read 1-6)
2.God has a treasure of goodness from where He provides for those who fear and trust Him. Ps. 31:19, 68:10, Jonah 4:6.
3.Nobody knows how He provides for those who wait for Him. Isa. 64:4. See how He prepared a guard to protect Jonah. Jonah 4:6
4.Jesus Christ has prepared a heavenly home for us in God’s house. Jh. 14:2-3. We must prepare ourselves to be in that glorious house for ever with the Lord. Will you be there?

REFLECTION
Be a child of God. Fear Him and trust Him. You will have all the things that you need.
