Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola was born to David Rotimi and Madam Marta Talabi, devoted members of the Anglican Church, in Odo-Owa, Ilofa, a town in Kwara State, Nigeria. His father served as the Baba Ijo of the C.M.S. Church.
