๐ ๐ซ๐ฐ๐ซ ๐๐ถ๐ผ ๐ฒ๐ต๐ถ๐พ ๐พ๐ฏ๐ ๐พ๐ฌ ๐ฒ๐ต๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ณ ๐ซ๐ผ๐น๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ ๐ป๐ฏ๐ฌ ๐ช๐ถ๐ต๐บ๐ฌ๐ช๐น๐จ๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐ต?
Because at that sacred moment, something extraordinary happens.
As the priest speaks the words of Christ "This is My Body... This is My Blood." The bread and wine become the true Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Church teaches that in the Holy Mass, we are united with the worship of heaven. The angels adore. The saints rejoice. The sacrifice of Christ on Calvary is made sacramentally present on the altar not repeated, but made present for us.
That is why we kneel.
Not because everyone else is kneeling. Not because it is simply a tradition. But because Jesus is truly present in our midst.
Every Mass is an invitation to stand at the foot of the Cross, to witness God's infinite love, and to receive the Bread of Life with faith and reverence.
The next time the bells ring during the consecration, pause, bow your heart, and remember: The King of kings is on the altar.
"O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!" โ Psalm 95:6
