MY TRIBUTE TO DR DAVID YONGGI CHO, ONE OF MY MENTORS

Though coming late, it has been in my heart to pay tribute to this outstanding servant of God since his demise. David Yonngi Cho is one of my mentors. He taught me a lot. The testimony of my work with God or Christian journey won't be complete without mentioning his name. He really impacted my life.

When I was growing up spiritually, God made me read some of his books. Among them are: Holy Spirit my Senior Partner, The Fourth Dimension, Solving Life's Problems, Home Cell Groups etc. I was really blessed by this great servant of God.

If you want to grow a Church, then you need to read his books. He was able to build the largest single congregation in the world by the revelation of the Holy Spirit. He was the one who discovered the secret of cell group for church growth. That is why you see many churches adopting the cell system. The cell system is very biblical. God opened his eyes to that revelation.

This is a man of God that you will enjoy reading his books. In his books, he doesn't hide anything about himself. He will tell you his success and mistakes so that you can learn from that.

Dr Yonggi Cho was a man of vision. He was a father of faith. You can't talk about practical faith without mentioning David Yonngi Cho. He was a practical man. He gave us practical Christianity. Through him, South Korea became a nation to be reckoned with.

Many outstanding ministries you are seeing today in Nigeria (not to talk of outside Nigeria) learnt at his feet. Will you talk about Christ Embassy? Is it Winners' Chapel you want to talk about? Will you talk about Royal Champions? To name but a few. They all learnt from Dr David Yonngi Cho. His impact can never be denied!

My mentor, you came, you saw and you conquered. You are now with the Lord. Rest on servant of the most high. I love you so much sir. I have so much delight in reading your books. We will carry on the work of the Gospel vigorously as you did until you slept in the Lord. Thanks for your wonderful impact in my life.

WHY ASCRIBING GOD'S POWER TO THE DEVIL?

When some people ascribe the power in the man T.B. Joshua to the devil, in essence, they are indirectly and ignorantly saying Satan can do greater miracles than God. They see Satan as more powerful than God. Anything they don't understand, they try to destroy.

I have not seen how the person they call a devil will be doing strange, astonishing and greater miracles with so much anointing than they that claim to have the real power but doing less. They have forgotten that God is more powerful than the devil. In fact, the devil's powers are in tricks.

Is Satan's power more powerful in miracles than that of God? If you claim to be real but T.B. Joshua is fake, then produce greater miracles to counter the man you call fake. If you can't, then you shut up your mouth forever!

Those who say they are the real ones but others are fake, they should use the power they got from God to produce the miracles God has used T.B. Joshua to produce. Because God has not given them power to that level, they label the power as that of the devil. That is their problem.

Generation of vipers! Generation of hypocrites! Generation that despised a prophet just because they could not do such or have not seen the power of God in such dimensions. Generation that calls good evil and evil good.

Generation that has not taken care of the widows and widowers in the way the man of God has done yet has the audacity to criticize him. Generation that has not given to the poor in the way he has done yet has the mind to judge him. Generation that has not fed so much people in the way he has done, yet find it as a pleasure to call him names.

A man of God that has stood the test of time. A man of God they would abuse but would not abuse back. A man of God that has shown God in his character. A man of God you call a devil but has done so much for others. A man of God that sticks with only one wife while many are busy chasing different women.

A man of God that won't strife with anyone. A man of God that shows the love of God to humanity. A man of God that touched both Christians and Muslims and others. A man of God that obeys the scriptures that say do good to all men, especially those of the household of faith.

A man of God that kept saying the Jesus I know is the Jesus that died on the cross of Calvary and resurrected on the third day. A man of God that kept saying according to Jesus human nature, he is the son of David but according to His divine nature, He is the Son of God. A man of God that believes in the incarnation of Jesus.

A man of God that has refused to uplift himself but has always uplifting Jesus. A man of God that said Emmanuel (God with us) and never for once said he is the Emmanuel as some have falsely accused him.

A man of God that sees into the Spirit realm. A man of God that nearly all his prophecies have come to pass. A man of God that would tell you your problem with the solution.

A man of God that A.A. Allen's associate, Pa. Evangelist Upperthegrove endorsed and gave A.A. Allen's stamp to. This is the Evangelist that has worked with God for so many years and well advanced in the things of God.

A man of God that I was in his church and all that I saw were inscriptions about Jesus. A man of God that lived a simple and godly life. A man of God that was not materialistic or accumulating wealth but sharing wealth to the needy and the poor.

Is this the man you ascribe Satan's power to? Is this the man you said he is of the devil? Is Satan so nice and good like this? Has he not come to kill to steal and to destroy? Is that not his mission? Even if someone pretends to be good, he can't pretend for long. He can't endure for long.

Does Satan has enduring power which we could see in T.B. Joshua? Many Nigerians crucified T.B. Joshua until he slept in the Lord but other nations are celebrating him even in death. A prophet is without honour except in his own country and among his own people.

A man that passed away peacefully by entering his chamber to give up the ghost. Many rejected him but heaven receives him. Is this the man some are calling a devil?

See, the devil is using them without them knowing and it is a pity. They will be shocked when they meet God and see T.B. Joshua in heaven. And this will be to their own shame!

MY TRIBUTE TO PROPHET T.B. JOSHUA!

I weep! This is unbelievable! You left a legacy. Some didn't believe in you as the one God sent among them just as they didn't believe in Jesus; yet you remain committed to your course and walked in love towards all.

We would greatly miss you. What a life used in the service of God! He came, he saw and he conquered. The most persecuted prophet on earth in our generation; yet most anointed! He won't strive with anyone. He lived what he preached and preached what he lived.

The body of Christ would surely miss you. Even your enemies know what you stand for. Worldly things mean nothing to you. You are a prophet of love. You have stood the test of time.

I don't know this would happen but recently God made me pen down what I know about you which I have titled 'MY ENCOUNTER WITH PROPHET T.B. JOSHUA'.

Many in the world reject you but heaven receives you. Rest on man of God. Shalom!

YOU WILL NEVER BECOME RICH UNTIL YOU HATE POVERTY.

Some people will always say all the things of life are vanity to justify their poverty. What of the phone you are using? You should stop using it if it is vanity.

When Solomon said all is vanity, he was saying that having everything without serving God is vanity. God has given us all things that make for or pertain to life and godliness.

You see, everything that is for life and godliness has been given to us. You must enjoy all these things in godliness. They are meant for life and given to you to use in godliness. You have to know God and enjoy your life.

Solomon himself was so rich but at the end of his life, he discovered that if you acquire everything and you neglect God, everything is vanity, which is true. You will leave all at the end. And when you do, where will you end?

If you have these things and make God your backbone, then you are in the right direction. Poverty is very bad. Never rejoice for poverty.

I rejoice with people when they have good things of life. It is here we will spend it, not in heaven. God created all these things for our enjoyment.

How many people will you be able to help in poverty? None! Poverty is not a yardstick for heaven. That you are poor does not mean God will make you to enter heaven.

Being rich is not equally a yardstick for heaven. That you are rich does not mean you are qualified for heaven.

The qualification for heaven is your faith in Jesus. Then you can choose to be rich by following the principles of riches or you can choose to be poor. It is your choice.

God wants you to prosper but if you choose to be poor, that is your own lot. I would rather serve God and choose to be rich than serving God and choose to be poor.

Even those who don't know God work hard and follow the principles of wealth to be rich.

It is not that all are into shady business. Many are doing legitimate works to become rich and they will be able to do many things in the society.

Whether you are a Christian or not, the law of prosperity will work for you if you follow it.

The Bible says as long as the earth remains, seed time and harvest shall not cease. So the law works for both believers and unbelievers.

Say no to poverty in your life! Poverty is not from God. God does not want you poor. He has no gain in that.

Some people will be shouting I can't buy this, I can't buy that, all is vanity. It is because they are poor. Let money enter their hands, you will see that they will do more than that.

You can never know the true loyalty of a man until power gets to him. Some will maintain their true color. Money won't change them. But for many, they will change and start behaving as if they are Gods.

My brothers and sisters, I reject poverty. Poverty will limit you. You can't do anything in poverty. You can't marry in poverty. You can't take care of your family in poverty.

In fact, without money, your voice can't be heard. The Bible says money answers all things. All the physical things you will need in this life require money to achieve or acquire.

The rich man didn't go to hell because he was rich. He went to hell because he was rich without knowing God. He was rich without love. God is love.

He was a man who didn't care about others. He didn't love his neighbor as himself. Love is the greatest of all the commandments. When you walk in love, you are walking in God.

How can you claim to love God that you can't see when you hate your neighbor you can see? The rich man lacked love. It was lack of love that sent him to hell. He didn't go to hell for being rich.

The poor man (Lazarus) didn't go to Abraham's blossom because he was poor. No! He went to paradise because in his poverty, he was able to acknowledge and serve God. He served God in his poverty. That is the case.

If the rich man had love his neighbor as himself, he wouldn't have gone to hell. Lack of love sent him to hell. God has commanded them to love their neighbors as themselves. This the rich man failed to do.

In this life, anyone without the love of the Father will go to hell. Only in Jesus can you have the love of the Father in you. Thank God that the love of God has been shed abroad in our own hearts as Christians. We have love in us.

What we need to do is to walk in that love. It is even our nature and desire to love. Satan may want to make you selfish but you know it is not your nature. You say no to that selfish spirit.

So my brothers and sisters, you can serve God in riches. God is not using poverty to teach you anything. God won't teach you with the devil's tools. God won't use evil things to teach you. You have to know the nature of your God.

I have to stop here. I believe you must have been blessed. I have many things to teach on this but I will do that in another article. Say no to poverty! God bless you.
