My husband hasn't seen anything yet.
My brother-in-law was at our house last weekend. While he was watching a movie with my husband, I walked in and called my husband, "Baby."
Immediately, his brother turned to me and asked, "Why are you calling my brother baby?"
Before I could answer, he continued: "I don't like how a grown woman is calling her grown husband baby. I hate it. Please stop calling my brother baby."
Meanwhile, my husband was just there, smiling and concentrating on the movie like a man who had no plans of joining the discussion. 😒
I expected him to say something, at least defend me small. After all, he has always loved it whenever I call him baby. But his attention was glued to the television.
So I said, "Okay, no problem. I will stop calling your brother baby."
His brother smiled and said, "Good! That's why I like you. You take correction easily."
Hmmm... if only he knew. 😏
After serving them food, I announced:
"Nna anyi, food is ready o!"
Both of them looked at me and burst out laughing.
My husband thought it was going to be one-time joke. Poor man. He had no idea I had officially updated his name because of his brother. 😂
After they finished eating, he asked Odinaka to call me because he wanted to ask me something.
I came in and said, "Nna anyi, you were calling me?"
He looked at me for a few seconds but couldn't find the words. 🤣
Later that evening, we went to a big mall. He was at the other end of the store, and I wanted to get his attention.
So I shouted:
"NNA ANYI!"
The shock on his face! 😳
Everybody turned. My husband froze.
That was when he realized I was not joking.
He rushed over and said, "Babe, this is not funny anymore."
I replied, "Exactly. It wasn't funny when your brother was saying it either."
He said, "Okay, please stop now."
I told him, "From today, your name is Nna anyi."
He said, "But my brother was only joking."
I replied, "Na una sabi o. All I know is that your new government approved name is, Nna anyi." 😂
The next morning, as he was leaving, he k, issed me and said, "I love you."
I smiled and replied, "I love you too, Nna anyi."
He looked at me and asked, "Why are you this stubborn?"
I said, "Na you sabi."
My people, my husband is still begging for his Baby title back.
But as of today, the Ministry of Home Affairs has not approved the request. 😌😂😂😂
He never see anything yet!
