“‘If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them, then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. Your threshing shall last till the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last till the time of sowing; you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land. You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you. Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you. ‘For I will look on you favorably and make you fruitful, multiply you and confirm My covenant with you. You shall eat the old harvest, and clear out the old because of the new. I will set My tabernacle among you, and My soul shall not abhor you. I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.”
‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭26:3-12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“‘But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you. ‘And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. I will break the pride of your power; I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze. And your strength shall be spent in vain; for your land shall not yield its produce, nor shall the trees of the land yield their fruit. ‘Then, if you walk contrary to Me, and are not willing to obey Me, I will bring on you seven times more plagues, according to your sins. I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, destroy your livestock, and make you few in number; and your highways shall be desolate. ‘And if by these things you are not reformed by Me, but walk contrary to Me, then I also will walk contrary to you, and I will punish you yet seven times for your sins. And I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; when you are gathered together within your cities I will send pestilence among you; and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. When I have cut off your supply of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall bring back your bread by weight, and you shall eat and not be satisfied.”
‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭26:14-26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“‘But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, with their unfaithfulness in which they were unfaithful to Me, and that they also have walked contrary to Me, and that I also have walked contrary to them and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they accept their guilt— then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and My covenant with Isaac and My covenant with Abraham I will remember; I will remember the land.”

EVERY BELIEVER IS RIGHTEOUS
"But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." (Romans 4:5 KJV)
Beloved, don't go about with the mentality that you are a sinner. You cannot imagine how many believers who the devil keep telling that they are still sinners. You cannot be born again and still be a sinner. Righteousness is a gift given to you by God. You did not work for it or earn it. It is the decision of God to give you the gift the moment you invited Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life. This means that every believer is righteous. Say to yourself, I am righteous.
Now, you may say, Brother Mike, I still commit sin. But I say that all of us commit sin. Now, I can imagine your religious antenna going up. This is because we have classified sin. We assume that if we are not fornicators or adulterers, we have not sinned but that is not true. If I read my bible correctly, it says that if you have kept all the commandments and offend in one, you have failed in all. It says whatever is not of faith is sin and that if you know how to do good and you fail to do it, you have sinned. Jesus said if you look at a woman and lust after her, it is sin. If you are angry with your brother, it is sin. The Bible says the wages of sin is death and the free gift of God is eternal life.
Now, based on the above explanation of sin from the Bible, nobody can claim to be free and there would have been no hope if grace did not intervene. Beloved, the day you gave your life to Christ, God declared that you were righteous and you automatically gained access into his presence, without any fear, inferiority or condemnation. There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus.
All you need to do is to be in Christ and the devil can do you no harm. You have to leverage on your righteousness before God. 1 Corinthians 15:34 says "Awake to righteousness and sin not..." In other words, if I am not awake to the fact that I have been made righteous, I will continue to sin.

“When the army officer and the soldiers with him who were watching Jesus saw the earthquake and everything else that happened, they were terrified and said, “He really was the Son of God!””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27:54‬ ‭GNT‬‬
If those that crucified Him said 'He really was the Son of God' because of what they saw, how much more should we who have experienced His love declare daily that indeed He is Lord of all.

“Find out for yourself how good the Lord is. Happy are those who find safety with him. Honor the Lord, all his people; those who obey him have all they need. Even lions go hungry for lack of food, but those who obey the Lord lack nothing good.
“Would you like to enjoy life? Do you want long life and happiness? Then keep from speaking evil and from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good; strive for peace with all your heart. The Lord watches over the righteous and listens to their cries; but he opposes those who do evil, so that when they die, they are soon forgotten. The righteous call to the Lord, and he listens; he rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who are discouraged; he saves those who have lost all hope. Good people suffer many troubles, but the Lord saves them from them all; the Lord preserves them completely; not one of their bones is broken.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭34:8-10, 12-20‬ ‭GNT‬‬

12 Encouraging Bible Verses on Forgiving Others

20/04/2016

“And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins.”
Mark 2:22, NKJV

TODAY’S WORD:

Are you ready for increase? Are you ready to go to the next level spiritually, physically and emotionally? In today’s verse, Jesus is saying that you can’t go to a new level with an old way of thinking.

I’ve found that many people hear the truth that God has more in store for them, and something resonates on the inside. Their spirit comes into agreement with God. But oftentimes, their natural minds will try to talk them out it. Thoughts come like, “It’s not going to happen for you. You’re not going to have a great year. You know what the economy is like.” Or, “You’re never going to get well. You saw what the medical report said.” “You’re never going to get married. You’ve been single so long.”

Friend, those are the old wineskins that you have to get rid of. This is a new season. What’s happened in the past is over and done. You may have been through some disappointments, you may have tried and failed or things didn’t work out. That’s okay. We serve a God of restoration. It’s time to get a new vision for your life. It’s time to open yourself to a new way of thinking so that you can move forward and receive all of the blessings God has in store for you!

Proverbs 17:17
How To Be A Good Friend
The Old Testament put great emphasis on close family relationship. Suprisingly, Proverbs rate a good friend even higher, for he or she "sticks closer than a brother" (18:24).
Fait weather friends are common (14:20), and the wrong kind of companions will bring you trouble. But a true friend loves you at all times, even when thing are bad.
Some key proverbs on being a good friend and neighbor can be found in the following passages: 3:27-28; 11:12; 12:26; 17:9,17; 18:24; 22:24-25; 25:20; 26:18-19; 27:6,9-10,14,17; 28:23; 29:5.

Romans 12:12 - Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. MARATHON RACE: Is it worth the struggle? Hebrew 12 takes up right after the previous chapter left off, only the author moves the spotlight from the old testament history to the readers themselves. These early Christians are facing. Persecution, and their faith is bending under the pressure. The author liken faith to an athletic contest in stadium. Those from the past - the giants of faith from chapter 11 - form "a great cloud of witness" who watches the rest of us run the race of faith. Evidently, the original readers of Hebrews has expected a short sprint, not a grueling marathon. They need extra encouragement and discipline to survive a long-distance spiritual contest. WHY KEEP RUNNING? The analogy of a marathon provides a convenient way to think about the christian life. Why do people punish their bodies to run a grueling 26 miles course? Most runners name two reasons: the sense of personal reward they get and the physical benefits of exercise. There are parallel benefits in the spiritual marathon, great prize await those who persevere, and the very process of living by faith builds strong character. In the race of faith, no one loses. If you finish, you get the reward. True competition set their sight on the lead runner, and, as might be expected, Hebrews hold up Jesus as the ultimate standard of our faith. He endured the terrible suffering of the cross for the sake of "the joy set before him." Because of Jesus no one can complain that "God does not knw what its like down here." God does know, for Jesus has lived here. For any one tempted to go weary and lose heart, the very best cure is to "fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith." LIFE QUESTIONS - If spiritual maturity is scaled from 1 to 10, 10 being the highest, how far along are you?

Wisdom For The Day

Topic: No Margin for Failure

"So shall my word be that goeth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)
You will be surprised that many people are in doubt of what the word of God can accomplish in the life of the believer. Let me remind you that the word of God is so efficacious that no power can withstand it. Nothing can be substituted for the word of God, because it has no margin for failure. No word of God is void of power. Forever God’s word is settled in Heaven. I can assure you that the word of God produces results and will not return unto Him void. His word is errorless, infallible and unchanging. In Mark 13:31 the scripture declares “heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” This shows that signs, wonders and even the elements may cease, but the word abides forever.

One strategy the devil uses to challenge our faith in the word of God is to amplify the challenges we go through. The intent is to put you under pressure so that you lose your faith in the word. Like I always say: whatever the word cannot give you, you don’t need it and it does not exist. One thing you must settle in your heart is that the word of God works. It has never been and can never be broken. Every promise that proceeds from His mouth will surely come to pass. In my few years of ministry, I have seen what men called impossible come to pass. I have seen diseases that doctors labeled incurable healed. I have seen women whose fallopian tubes were removed carry their babies to mention a few.

Beloved the word of God works. It doesn't matter what is happening in your life right now, understand that the God that spoke in the beginning and situations turned around is still speaking on your behalf. He is still speaking concerning your case; that's why I know that every word of prophecy and declaration that has been made from this pulpit over your life will surely come to pass. Stop looking at the seemingly impossible situations confronting you. The word of God will prevail over them in Jesus’ name.

ENEMY EMPLOYERS: Daniel serves in the center of pagan power

Daniel 1:20 - In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he found them ten times better all the magicians and enchanters in his whole Kingdom.

The prophet Daniel and Ezekiel have similar beginning as they both attract attention at an early age for their leadership potentials. Unfortunately for them, an invasion by Babylonians rudely interrupts their career plans. Both are taken prisoner and deported to the enemy capital. There the similarities between their lives end.
Whereas Ezekiel spends his days preaching (and acting out) sermons to the Jewish exiles, Daniel get recruited for job in the king's palace. Daniel's life in the corridors of power brings to mind the ancient character Joseph, who also rose to a position of prominence in a foreign principles of integrity. somehow he manage to thrive in an environment marked by ambition and intrigue, while still holding to his religious ideals.

WALKING A TIGHTROPE
The Babylonians do their best to purge the selected young Jews of their heritage. they force on them new, pagan name and ply them with wine and with food that has been offered to idols. even the study course for diplomat-in-training offends an observant Jew because of its emphasis on astrology and paganism. Daniel and this three friends overcame the obstacles and excel enough to impress the king, who noticed the four young men towering above every one else.
The biblical prophet offer, not one model, but many models of how a person can serve both God and the state. On the one extreme stand men like Amos and Elijah, who, as outsiders, rail against the evil of society. Others, such as Jeremiah and Nathan, give occasional counsel to kings, but kept a safe distance. Isaiah and Samuel, howerver became official royal advisers, and in this book the prophet Daniel shows that a person can remain pure even while working with a tyrannical regime.

LIFE QUESTION: When have you taken a difficult stand as a matter of integrity?
