THE REVELATION OF THE NAME OF JESUS | COAT OF FAITH WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL
“Those who know Your name put their trust in You…” — Psalms 9:10a
Faith is well known as the raw material vital for the creation of the unseen (see Heb. 13;11). Moses stood unshaken before Pharaoh and crossed the Red Sea because he fixed his gaze on Him who is invisible (Hebrews 11:27-29). The more Heaven unveils God to you, the less earth can threaten you with men.
Seeing is no longer believing; in this age of artificial intelligence (AI), those who put their trust solely in what they see are already disadvantaged, people can now create things by the power of imagination. We call it fake, but the existence of a fake simply means there is a real original somewhere. That is what I want to show you today. Come with me.
There is a God unseen by mortal eyes, yet His works shake nations, heal bodies, raise men from dust, and silence darkness. One of the ways He invades the affairs of men is through His name: Jesus.
The name of Jesus holds the ultimate position of authority (Matthew 28:18), it’s a vessel of dominion. It has the ability to create and to obliterate, to give life and to take life. Sadly, there are those who have merely heard the name of Jesus, and there are those who know and wear the name of Jesus.
It is the revelation of the name (not the hearing) that gives men boldness to walk into territories others fear, to stand where darkness breathes, and yet emerge untouched.When God created man, He breathed life into his nostrils (Genesis 2:7). When God gave Jesus the name above every name, He breathed power into it (Phil. 2:9).
So whenever that name is uttered in faith, Heaven responds.
Demons do not tremble merely because a title was mentioned. Sickness does not retreat because sound vibrations filled the air. No — they bow because a superior force (glory) is exuded at the invocation of that name. A glory greater than their resistance confronts them, and they are compelled to comply.
Stop saying “I beg you in the name of Jesus”, if you truly want it, you will take it in the name! The "name" isn't a magic word to beg with, but a legal power of attorney to be exercised with confidence and faith.
