TOPIC: WHEN POWER IS RELEASED, BARRIERS COLLAPSE

Your identity in Christ must not be seen in the church alone, it must be seen outside the church, in your workplace, in the neighbourhood, in your community.

Pentecost is not just an event, it is not a ceremony
Pentecost is the power that must be experienced by every child of God

Your life must be impacted by the Holy spirit
Before the events of Acts of the Apostles, the disciples had the knowledge, the promises, but they were limited and timid because they lacked power.

But when power came, the disciples became bold to challenge the cultural resistance and existing satanic systems of the world (Acts 2:14)

Barriers persist where power is absent, when power is realeased, every resistance becomes irrelevant

PENTESCOST WAS A RESPONSE OF HEAVEN to human limitations, incapacity, incapability, a response to a great human need, a response to fill a great human void.
The outpouring of the Holy spirit marks the power that gave birth to the church.

POWER AS AN ANTIDOTE TO BARRIER
Barriers respond only to supernatural force. Pharoah did not respond to Moses's speeach, he responded to the power of God. Pharoah said "this is the finger of God.."
The walls of Jericho did not fall by human explanantion, it fell by the power of God.

PENTECOST IS ACTIVATED THROUGH
1. Boldness to stand for God
2. Obedience
3. Persistent prayer life

WHY GOD USES TONGUES
1. To bypass mental restrictions and human limitations.
2. To release mysteries; things that are beyond human understanding, it is a mystery to man and the devil.
3. To build our spiritual strength; we are built spiritually by fellowship with the Spirit of God.
4. It empowers intercession (Romans 8:26). The spirit intercedes for us, when we are ignorant of what to pray for.
5. For supernatural utterance and for breaking barriers.
Barriers of inconsistent devotion must be broken through supernatural utterances.

TOUNGES BREAKS BARRIERS BY..
1. Releasing divine intelligence; God's given wisdom to operate in the natural and spiritual realm.
2. By strengthening the spirit man.
3. By Opening spiritual pathways to breakthrough and dominion.
4. By empowering us by the spirit to live right with God
5. By giving us public impact; the light of God within a man must shine.

TOPIC : THE PROMISE OF THE POWER

‎1. The reality of the power that breaks barriers
When the power comes, you are changed form the old man to the new man. Fear becomes faith.
The disciples full of fear became full of faith when the Holy Spirit came upon them. Those who ran away when Jesus was being crucified, later became fearless even in the face of death, after they encountered the Holy Spirit.

2. Jesus commanded to wait.
Jesus commanded his disciplines to wait, and be patient. We must learn to wait and be patient for God's timing.
Waiting is not a punishment, it is preparation.

3. The promise defined
The Lord said YOU SHALL RECEIVE POWER, this is the promise. You will receive when you open your heart.
The power here is DUNMAIS, which is an explosive power of the Holy Spirit. The power that multiplies itself by God's will and decree
Dunamis is divine capacity to accomplish seemingly impossible tasks.
It is God's ability deposited in Earthen vessels (man).

○●The source of true power●○
There are powers from graveyard, from the occult, from marine kingdom.
But the greatest power is the power of the Holy Spirit. When it appears, every other powers bow.
The power of the Holy Spirit breaks evil covenants. This is the true power.

Power and purpose go together. Power given is for a purpose. The purpose of power is for action.

The purpose of this power is to serve God effectively.
The power helps us to advance the kingdom of God.

TOPIC: FRUITFULNESS BY SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING

Fruitfulness is about increase, abundance, blessings.
God's faithfulness is still aligning with our fruitfulness

God is seeking for those that will sacrifice for Him despite the cost.
Men that take charge of their territory, of their family, for the gospel.

Spriritual understanding has to do with internalizing who God is, through His word, and knowing who you are in Christ.

Spiritual understanding comes by intimacy with God.
Elijah in 1Kings17:1 said "I stand in the presence of God, there shall be no rain or dew, according to my word..."
Spiritual intimacy and understanding gives power for fruitfulness.

When you have spiritual understanding, whatever you decree shall come to pass

WHAT SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE DOES
1. It opens our doors of blessings.
2. It guides you from being destroyed or deceived.
3. It give a you direction on what to do and what not to do, you know more of what you need to do.
4. It changes how you live your life, it produces a life that pleases God.
5. It creates an atmosphere of peace and stability.
6. It builds your strenght in the Lord, and builds the body of Christ
7. It sets us free from satanic bo***ge of lies

BENEFITS OF SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE
1. You are protected by the spirit
2. You will influence others to do good
3. You will produce fruit and that fruit will remain
4. You will live a stable life
5. You will be able to live a life that pleases God

TOPIC: BREAKING BARRIERS FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE
TEXT: Zechariah 4:6-7, Matthew 25:14-30

In Exodus 9:13; Pharoah was a barrier to the service of the Isrealites to God. Just as Pharoah, there are many barriers preventing us from giving our faithful service to God

There is a difference between "service" and "faithful service".
The intent and position of your heart is a major distinguishing factor

Faithful service is carrying out your duties or responsibilities with total loyalty, obedience and strength.

Daniel was a man who was faithful in serving God. Even when a decree came against his prayers, he did not relent.
Many other examples in the scriptures; Abraham, Samuel, Apostle Paul gave us examples of what a faithful service should be.

SERVICE TO GOD
1. Praise and worship
2. Obedience to His word
3. Sharing the gospel of Christ to others
4. Serving in the church
5. Giving and supporting God's work
6. Fasting and prayer; seeking God sincerely and praying for others

SERVICE WE CAN RENDER FOR GOD, TO HUMANITY
1. Sharing God's love and kindness
2. Encouragement
3. Manifesting the fruits of spirit
4. Helping others in need
5. Supporting the disadvantaged
6. Forgiving the error of others
7. Promoting unity amongst persons, and in the body of Christ

WHY FAITHFUL SERVICE?
Because God demands and expect it from us.
We must depned on God and His grace to break every barrier to faithful service.
We must maintain a healthy relationship with God almighty.

MISSIONS DAY

TOPIC: BREAKING THE BARRIERS OF FEAR AND COMFORT ZONE.
TEXT: 2 Timothy 1:7 , Genesis 12:1-4

Barriers are limitations, those things that stop us from moving forward, stop us from growth and progress

Our topic today focuses on the barriers of fear and comfort zone.
Fear is the mother of comfort zone

Fear is the anticipation of danger, Comfort zone is a familiar space where one feels safe

God called Abraham out of his father's house, oit of his comfort zone into uncertainty, into the unknown and Abraham obeyed.
We all today are benefiting from that obedience.

There are people that God has destined to benefit from your obedience to His divine call.

Moses was in his comfort zone in Midian, when God called him out for a great assignment.

Esther pushed aside her royal comfort zone, so she can preserve the future of Israel.
PETER denied Christ out of fear, but when he conquered his comfort zone, he became a mighty instrument in the hand of God

Many great men and women we hear of today broke the barrier of fear and comfort zone.

HOW TO BREAK THE BARRIERS OF FEAR AND COMFORT ZONE.
1. We must have absolute trust in God (Proverbs 3:5-6).
2. We must use the word of God to conquer fear.
3. We must confess our sins unto God.
4. We must be courageous, we must step out in faith.
5. We must live a life of prayer.
6. We must be deliberate
