Psalm 66:8-20
O.T. Lesson: Proverbs 31:25-30
Epistle Lesson/Text: 1 Timothy 5:10
Gospel Lesson: John 19:25-27

Theme: Be devoted to every good work.

NUGGETS FROM THE SERMON.
Text: 1 Timothy 5:10; John 19:25–27
Theme: Be Devoted to Every Good Work

1. Devotion to good works is not dependent on comfort; it is rooted in sacrifice, love, and compassion.

2. In our Gospel reading, Jesus—though suffering on the cross—demonstrated that good works are not reserved for times of ease. Even in pain, shame, and death, He continued to serve.

3. Many believe good works can only be done when life is smooth. Yet, the most beautiful acts often emerge from heavy hearts and uncertain futures.

4. True devotion means persevering in good works even when the season is difficult. Do not quit because times are hard.

5. Good works are not measured by abundance but by willingness to give. From whatever you have, there is always something you can share to help another.

6. Do not wait until life is perfect before serving. Keep praying, keep helping, and keep giving—even in imperfect circumstances.

7. Wealth does not determine usefulness. There may be those richer than you, yet in certain situations, you may be the one God uses to help them.

9. Giving out of pain carries greater value than giving out of surplus. Sadly, many prefer to give only when they have excess.

10. On the cross, Jesus saw His mother and cared more for her pain than His own suffering.

11. Though He was God, He still fulfilled His responsibility as a son, ensuring His mother was cared for.

12. Jesus recognized the needs of His mother and His disciple, and He responded. Unless we recognize the needs of others, we cannot truly help them.

13. God can open your eyes to the needs of others. With careful observation, you will see those in need—it is not always necessary for someone to ask before you recognize their struggle.

14. A person devoted to good works does not live carelessly. Such a life is marked by attentiveness to family responsibilities, commitment to spiritual growth, and the cultivation of godly values.

15. Good works are integral to our faith. They require responsibility. Scripture reminds us in 1 Timothy that anyone who fails to care for their family is worse than an unbeliever.

16. Consider John at the cross: he was not the only disciple, nor the oldest, but he was the closest to Jesus. In that moment, John realized Jesus had prepared something greater for him.

17. Notice that Jesus did not call Mary “Mother” again; instead, He said, “Woman, behold your son.” In essence, He acknowledged her grief at losing a son, yet gave her another in John. And to John He said, “Behold your mother.” Jesus entrusted them to one another, showing that even in His suffering, He was arranging care and community

18. Care and money must be distinguished. When Jesus entrusted His mother to His disciple, He showed that true care goes deeper than financial provision. Even if you lack money, you must never stop caring for your family.

19. Jesus honored His mother by ensuring she would be cared for. He did not leave matters unresolved; He completed every outstanding good work.

20. Jesus’ arrangement for His mother was love expressed through thoughtful planning, protection, and trust. When love is the source of good works, service becomes sincere and selfless. Good works without love are empty.

21. Today is Mother's Day celebration and we are celebrating the sacrifices, love, devotion to good woeks and examplary leadership that godly Mothers have persostently shown even in times of trials and pains, in order to keep the home and raise generarions.

22. Whatever you do—whether leading a family, a group, or a community—love must remain at the center. Without love, devotion to good works loses its meaning.

23. We are all called to lead and live through good works. True devotion begins at home, where children can observe and emulate godly examples.

24. Remember, John was not the richest disciple. Others, like Luke the physician, had more resources. Yet Jesus entrusted His mother to John because He knew John would be faithful to the task. Imagine if Mary had been handed over to Judas Iscariot🙆‍♀️—faithfulness matters more than wealth.

25. Be faithful in small responsibilities, honor your family, and let love guide your actions. Good works must bear fruit and produce visible results.

26. Jesus demonstrated that devotion is not only preached but practiced. He showed that good works are to be lived out—not only in times of comfort, but even in seasons of trial and suffering.

Theme: Called out of darkness into God's Light.

Sermonizer: Rt. Rev. Gabriel Sadadi

NUGGETS FROM THE SERMON - Rt. Rev. Gabriel O. Sadadi
Text: John 14:1–14
Theme: Called Out of Darkness into God’s Light

1. Jesus Prepares His Disciples
- Jesus was preparing His disciples for His departure.
- They were fearful and uncertain about life without Him.
- Their security was tied to His presence.

2. The Way Out of Confusion
- The solution to confusion is not a method, place, or religion.
- The answer is a Person—Jesus, the Way and the Light.

3. Invitation, Not Condemnation
- Jesus begins with an invitation, not condemnation.
- He calls us to leave fear and unrest, and step into God’s Light.

4. A Call to Trust
- “Trust in God; trust also in me.”
- Trust is essential for answered prayer.
- Doubt and double‑mindedness hinder faith (James 1:5–8; 2 Chronicles 20:20).

5. Jesus: The Way, Truth, and Life
- “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
- Coming out of darkness means coming to Jesus, who leads us into fellowship with the Father.

6. The Seriousness of Sin
- Sin must not be taken lightly or generalized.
- “The soul that sins shall die.”
- True love seeks repentance, not concealment (Ezekiel 3:18–19).

7. Leading Others into Light
- We must speak truth and guide others into light.
- Covering sin keeps people bound; exposing it in love leads to freedom.

8. Light vs. Darkness
- Light and darkness have nothing in common.
- Light reveals hidden things and dispels darkness.
- Jesus alone exposes sin, reveals God, and offers salvation.

9. The Contrast of Outcomes
- Darkness leads to death.
- Jesus, the Light, gives life.

10. The Power of God, Not the Law.
- The law cannot stop sin; only God’s power within us can.
- Punishment by law does not transform hearts, but God’s Spirit does.

11. Jesus Reveals the Father
- Jesus alone shows us who God is.
- He promises that those who believe will do greater works.

12. Children of Light
- We are children of light.
- Where light shines, darkness cannot overcome it.
- Jesus, the Light of God, never fails.

13. Knowing the Father Through Jesus
- “If you know me, you will know my Father also.”
- Jesus is the perfect revelation of the Father.
- Through His death on the cross, He reveals God’s compassion and salvation.
- He is both God and man, knowing the things to come.

14. Believing in Jesus
- To believe in Jesus is to cross:
- From sin → to righteousness
- From fear → to boldness
- From spiritual death → to eternal life

15. Living in the Light
- Those who walk in the light no longer hide in lies, unbelief, bitterness, or sin.
- The light transforms and

16. Genuine Repentance
- Carrying a Bible is not enough; repentance must be genuine.
- True repentance brings change, answered prayers, and greater works.
- Jesus promises: “Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified.”

17. Jesus: The Light, Way, Truth, and Life
- John 14:1–14 reveals Jesus as:
- The Light that confronts darkness
- The Way that leads to the Father
- The Truth that sets free
- The Life that cannot be destroyed

18. Do Not Let Your Heart Be Troubled
- Today, do not let fear, sin, grief, confusion, or sorrow darken your heart.
- Come to Jesus—He remains the solution.
- In Him, troubled hearts find peace, and darkness is overcome.

Psalm 23
✝️O.T. Lesson: Isaiah 40:25-31
✝️Epistle Lesson/Text: 1 Peter 2:19-25
✝️Gospel Lesson: John 10:1-10

Theme: Be dead to sin but alive to righteousness.

SERMONIZER: Rt. Rev. Gabriel Sadadi

NUGGETS FROM THE SERMON
Text: John 10:1–10

1. In this passage, Jesus reveals Himself as both the Good Shepherd and the Door, the way to victory and eternal life.

2. As children of God, we must die to sin and rise to righteousness in sincerity.

3. Even a child instinctively knows who a thief is without needing a definition.

4. Consider the Fulani shepherds: even a small boy can lead a large herd of cattle. The animals recognize his unique call and follow his voice. But if a stranger calls, they will not respond.

5. Jesus identifies Satan as the thief. Wherever sin is present, Satan is at work—sin and Satan are inseparable.

6. Sin steals God’s glory from your life, kills the gifts He has deposited in you, and ultimately destroys your destiny.

7. Though sin promises freedom (which of.course is fake, its end is death.

8. Remove sin from a life, and that life becomes stable. Remove sin from the church, and the church becomes stable. The root of society’s problems is sin.

9. Sin alone has the power to rob you of God’s blessings, to kill, and to destroy.

10. Sadly, many people fight only to gratify themselves. Yet when sin begins to steal, kill, and destroy, they shift blame to witches, wizards, or other people instead of confronting the true enemy—sin.

11. Today, God calls us to depart from sin so that it does not destroy us.

12. We must tune our ears to God’s voice, hearing and obeying Him alone as our Good Shepherd.

13. Jesus is the way to righteousness and eternal life (John 10:7).

14. Jesus said that His sheep will never follow a stranger; instead, they will flee because they do not recognize the stranger’s voice.

15. Many false voices have arisen, pretending to carry the Spirit of God and deceiving people. They succeed in brainwashing those who do not know the true Shepherd.

16. Remember, God is not a magician. He works by His Spirit and makes all things beautiful in His time.

17. Children of God must learn to recognize the original voice—the voice of the Good Shepherd.

18. Challenges and trials will come, but we must not live in fear. Instead, we should cultivate a close relationship with Jesus, know Him deeply, and know His voice so well that we will never follow a fake shepherd.

19. Satan can never give you a “plus,” only a “minus.” He has nothing to offer but deception, tricks, and disguise. His aim is always to steal, kill, and destroy what God has already given. As Christians, we must wait patiently for what God has prepared for us in His timing. Do not run ahead of your legs—or ahead of your God.

Psalm 116:1-14
O.T. Lesson: Ezekiel 34:11-16
Epistle Lesson/Text: 1 Peter 1:17-25
Gospel Lesson: Luke 24:13-35

Theme: God's word is eternal

SERMONIZER: Rt. Rev. Gabriel Sadadi

NUGGETS FROM THE SERMON

Text: 1 Peter 1:17–25
Theme: God’s Word is Eternal

1. We live in a constantly changing world—daily, monthly, yearly, seasonally. Yet Peter reminds us that while everything else shifts, God’s Word remains unchanging.

2. To “fear God” does not mean being terrified of a tyrant. It means reverencing Him—trusting, loving, obeying, and respecting Him.

3. A true understanding of who God is will prevent us from treating sin lightly.

4. When Scripture says “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”, it does not encourage us to remain in sin. Rather, it points to our past condition and God’s present offer of salvation and redemption.

5. The word “sinned” is past tense. Now, in Christ, we live in the present reality of the new covenant, with a future of newness of life ahead.

6. Amos 3:3 asks, “Can two walk together unless they agree?” As Christians, we must align our thoughts, words, and actions with God to truly walk with Him.

7. Redemption was given freely—not purchased with money or animal sacrifices, but with the precious blood and life of Jesus.

8. Salvation cannot be bought, no matter the wealth one possesses.

9. A believer who truly grasps the price of redemption will be filled with gratitude, and that gratitude will inspire a life lived to please Christ.

10. Peter affirms that Christ was chosen before the foundation of the world. Salvation was never an afterthought—it was God’s plan from the beginning.

11. Therefore, we can hold firm in faith, knowing our lives and future are already planned by God. We are not accidents; we are part of His master plan.

12. John 1:1 clearly states that the word of God is Jesus Himself. The Word of God and Jesus cannot be separated. To say the Word is eternal is to say Jesus is eternal—He lives forever.

13. The Word is not merely the physical book we carry. Jesus said, “The words I speak are spirit and life.” The Word is living.

14. The name of Jesus is powerful, exalted above every other name. At His name, every knee bows and every tongue confesses.

15. All powers in the world are subject to corruption and adulteration, but the power in the name of Jesus remains pure, original, and supreme.

16. As children of God, we must not postpone obedience. Do not wait for tomorrow—serve, love, and obey Him today. Peter reminds us that human life is frail, like flowers that quickly fade.

17. People and circumstances may fail, but God’s Word stands firm and never fails.

18. Therefore, hold fast to the Word of God. The climax of Peter’s message is this: God’s Word does not change. The same Word that saved us is the same Word that sustains us.

19. We must not adjust Scripture to suit our lifestyles. Instead, we must adjust our lives to align with Scripture.

20. Submission to God and faith built on His eternal Word are what truly last.
