PENTECOST 2026: HONOUR IS A TRUE REFLECTION, DISPOSITION, AND TEST OF THE HEART: Our Heavenly Father Must be Honoured in His Own Way and Instruction!

"A son honours his father, and a servant his master. If I am a father, where is the honour due me...says the LORD Almighty" (Malachi 1:6 NIV)

Exodus 23:14-16 (NLT)
“Each year you must celebrate three festivals in my honor. First, celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread... “SECOND, CELEBRATE THE FESTIVAL OF HARVEST, WHEN YOU BRING ME THE FIRST CROPS OF YOUR HARVEST [Shavout/Pentecost]. Finally, celebrate the Festival of the Final Harvest at the end of the harvest season, when you have harvested all the crops from your fields."

, we honoured the LORD God Almighty, our heavenly father, with our offerings of firstfruits. A token of our gratitude for His blessings and continued blessing on our lands and works. A mark of obedience to His Command to receive His Holy Spirit and a consecration of our selves as firstfruits for resurrection and to great eternal harvest of the earth!

Honour the King

Close your eyes for a second and picture Jerusalem on Shavuot.

The city is packed. Families who traveled days to get there. Pilgrims moving through the streets with purpose. The Temple courts alive with prayer, offerings, worship — thousands of people standing before the God of Israel, right in the middle of the feast.

Now open Acts 2.

Because that's the reality surrounding every word of this story.

It wasn't a quiet morning. Luke tells us it was the third hour — around 9 AM — which means the morning Temple service was already underway. The prayers were being offered. The people were already gathered. This wasn't background noise. That was the setting.

And Shavuot wasn't just a holiday. It carried the weight of harvest, first fruits, covenant renewal, and thanksgiving. You didn't show up casually. You came to honor the King — and you didn't come empty-handed.

When you hold that picture in your mind, Peter's message lands completely differently.

Repent. Be immersed. Return. Receive.

This was God gathering His people in the middle of a feast already carrying themes of return and covenant loyalty. The Spirit wasn't poured out in a vacuum — it was poured out into a moment Israel already understood.

And honestly? That part hits me every time.

Because Shavuot asks us the same questions it always has:
Are we bringing God our best, or just what's left over?
Are we coming with humility, or just going through the motions?
Are we approaching Him on His terms — or ours?

The King is still inviting His people to come near. Not with pride. Not with leftovers. But with gratitude, repentance, and first fruits.

MORE THAN JUST A CELEBRATION; DO THE MATHEMATICS. LINE UPON LINE. PRECEPT UPON PRECEPT. SCRIPTURES CONNECTING SCRIPTURES. THE FEAST OF HARVEST/FIRSTFRUITS, SHAVOUT/PENTECOST IS AN ETERNAL MICOMMANDMENTS FOR SOULS CONSECRATION, DEDICATION, AND EMPOWERMENT BY SPIRIT AS FIRSTFRUITS OF GOD IN THE HARVEST OF THE EARTH OF ETERNAL LIFE.

Beyond the physical joy and excitements of festival celebration and temporal blessings of harvest on the works of our hands, this great annual feast of the LORD holds eternal merits of eternal life for the believers whose souls will be resurrected and gathered into the great feast of the kingdom of the God to come!

To observe this commandment and receive the Spirit of obedience keep God's Word and love the LORD is equal to our working out our salvation in Christ with patience!

7 THINGS YOU MUST KNOW AND DO ABOUT GOD'S FEAST OF PENTECOST!
1. The Feast of Pentecost is Bible 2nd annual holy festival called FEAST OF HARVEST (actually first harvest). It is celebrated to honour God Almighty. Exodus 23:14-16 *“Each year you must celebrate three festivals in my honor. First, celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread [Passover]... SECOND, CELEBRATE THE FESTIVAL OF HARVEST, WHEN YOU BRING ME THE FIRST CROPS OF YOUR HARVEST"* (NLT)

2. This Holy Feast is called Shavout in Hebrew or Pentecost in Greek meaning "Fifty" and is celebrated 50 days counting from day after the Passover Firstfruit Offering. On this fiftieth day (Pentecost) we are required to bring/present a basket offering of New Grains and crops of the harvest season.
Leviticus 23:15-16 *“From the day after the Sabbath—the day you bring the bundle of grain to be lifted up as a special offering—count off seven full weeks. KEEP COUNTING UNTIL THE DAY AFTER THE SEVENTH SABBATH, FIFTY DAYS LATER. THEN PRESENT AN OFFERING OF NEW GRAIN TO THE LORD."* (NLT)

3. In addition to this basket of New Grain and new crops, God Almighty commands every family to bring or come along with Two Big Loaves of Bread (of a specific measurement as an offering). This offering is for your lifting up!
Leviticus 23:17 *"FROM WHEREVER YOU LIVE, BRING TWO LOAVES OF BREAD TO BE LIFTED UP BEFORE THE LORD as a special offering. Make these loaves from four quarts of choice flour, and bake them with yeast. They will be an offering to the lord from the first of your crops."* (NLT)

4. A burnt offering is presented to the LORD from basket along aside other requirements for the sacrifice.
Leviticus 23:16,18,20 *"Keep counting until the day after the seventh Sabbath, fifty days later. Then present an offering of new grain to the LORD... Along with the bread, present seven one-year-old male lambs with no defects, one young bull, and two rams as burnt offerings to the LORD. These burnt offerings, together with the grain offerings and liquid offerings, will be a special gift, a pleasing aroma to the LORD... THE PRIEST WILL LIFT UP THE TWO LAMBS AS A SPECIAL OFFERING TO THE LORD, TOGETHER WITH THE LOAVES REPRESENTING THE FIRST OF YOUR CROPS. These offerings, which are holy to the lord, belong to the priests." (NLT)

5. Pentecost is a one day feast and holy to the LORD for everlasting. It's a 24 Hours Holy Convocation Service: No work is to be done on that day but only worship, prayer, and feastings.
Leviticus 23:21 *"THAT SAME DAY WILL BE PROCLAIMED AN OFFICIAL DAY FOR HOLY ASSEMBLY, A DAY ON WHICH YOU DO NO ORDINARY WORK. THIS IS A PERMANENT LAW FOR YOU, AND IT MUST BE OBSERVED FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION WHEREVER YOU LIVE."* (NLT)

6. PENTECOST DAY took a higher significant turn after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ when the disciples and apostles were gathered in one place to celebrate it according to God's Word, thereby revealing and manifesting the true impact of this great feast of the LORD.
Acts of the Apostles 2:1-4
*"ON THE DAY OF PENTECOST ALL THE BELIEVERS WERE MEETING TOGETHER IN ONE PLACE. SUDDENLY, THERE WAS A SOUND FROM HEAVEN LIKE THE ROARING OF A MIGHTY WINDSTORM, AND IT FILLED THE HOUSE WHERE THEY WERE SITTING. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability"* (NLT)

7. The Feast of Pentecost is the Day set aside by God for our self dedication as Firstfruits of God, holy and prepared for ressurection and rapture on the last day. You don't want to miss this part of the great feast and kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 15:20,23
*"But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest [firstfruit] of all who have died... BUT THERE IS AN ORDER TO THIS RESURRECTION: CHRIST WAS RAISED AS THE FIRST OF THE HARVEST [FIRSTFRUIT]; THEN ALL WHO BELONG TO CHRIST WILL BE RAISED WHEN HE COMES BACK"* (NLT)

SUMMARY: Pentecost is a special feast of the LORD which holds rich blessings and rewards of obedience for every believer and family both now and for eternality. Every bible believer and family is commanded by God celebrate this feast every year according to its rules and regulations.
