Theme: Put On - Part 5
Topic: Put on Power of God
Text: Luke 24:49, Acts 1:8

Highlights:

- The concept of being clothed with power is a real deal from our Father God.
- Jesus asked the disciples to wait until they are clothed with power.
- There is need for sufficient power to witness for God.
- So, the first installment of power comes by being filled with the Spirit. Acts 1:8.
- However, the believer experiences an ever increasing power by constantly being filled.
- There are three layers of power the believer must walk in.
- Jesus said we have been called to greater works, greater manifestations of the Spirit. John 14:12
- Hence for us to experience this, we see a concept from Hin which was also taken by Paul.
- John 14:6, and Acts 17:28, we see a revelation of the power graduation that happens simultaneously in the life of the believer.

1. Identification in Him.

- This reveals the knowledge of your personality in Christ. Acts 19 13-16.
- As believers we should be fully aware of who we are in Him.
- Your in Him realities will keep you going over devils, sickness and sin.
- Until you see that you of God, you will speak, think and act defeat. 1st John 4:4
- Realizing that the Greater One lives in you will improve your God confidence.
- Many times a good knowledge of your identity makes the difference between a nepious and a Huios.
- Take His identity of you and be well established in the In Him reality.

2. Instructions in faith.

- Jesus said He is the truth. The truth is well rooted in faith and not facts.
- The imbibing of genuine instructuons of faith will set you apart.
- The truth makes free and ensures the enemy does not stop you.
- This layer of power is many times preventive and corrective. Truth is that force of God's word that keeps you from deception.
- Hebrews 11:30- 35, we see men who by the force of faith in the truth, subdued kingdoms, escaped the egde of swords, shut the mouths of lions, and did much more.
- We are called to place of moving, changing the tide, restoring the order by our faith in the Truth.

3. Increasing scope of purpose.

- Pharaoh could not touch Moses because Moses was in sync with God's purpose
- As long as Jesus was in purpose and His assignment was not done, the wicked pharisees and sadducees could not touch him.
- For Aaron to die, his priestly vest had to be removed so he could go and die.
- Your divine purpose keeps you. It serves as the third layer of power. As far as the Father has need for you on the earth, you cannot die. We must be fully aware that our purpose is God's way of keeping us.

Theme:-Put On - Part 4
Topic:- Put On The New Man
‎ Text: Col 3:8-17, Ephesians 4: 17
- To put on and put off has to do with the capacity light (switch) you have come into. God desires you to put off. (apotithemi). Put off the old man and embrace the new.
- God has put in us the capacity to put on the new man.
- ‎ Every time the concept put off sets in, it means to take away, it means to throw away something and it means to let go of something.
- It means to refuse the old man from having dominion when it has been crucified. Ephesians 4:23
- Carnal thinking never stops human efforts, it is not stopped by human ideologies. It is not stopped by human philosophies and nor is it stopped by reading and many studies of western education. Much knowledge in the things of the world is a burden and not a solution.
- To be carnal is to think fleshly, worldly, after humanistic good but not how God wants things done.
- Carnal thinking will never produce a spiritual life.
- Many times we think carnally, because we don't give yield to the word of God.
- Solid food belongs to those who now know how to receive God's word and they are able to discern what is good from what is evil. 1 Corinthians 3:1-2, 1 Peter 2:2, Hebrews 5:14, 1 Corinthians 2:13.
- The shift from carnal thoughts moves you to discern between what is carnal and what is spiritual, and as you improve you can discern between two or more spiritual things.
- ‎Carnal thinking can only be removed by spiritual thinking.
- Spiritual thinking happens strictly by thinking with the word of God.
- Carnal thinking produces death, and spiritual thinking produces life. Romans 8:6
‎ How to get rid of Carnal thinking:-

1. Be intentional about the word of God and not just excited. Col. 3:10,16
Let's consider Joshua. Joshua 1:8
A. Get the word into your mouth.
- Until you say the word of God, you don't own it. Isaiah 34:16(AMPC), Isaiah 4610-11.
B. Give yourself to spiritual and scriptural meditation.
C. Get a consistent routine with the word.
D. Get to apply the word to manifest wisdom.
- Wisdom is a product of the speaking and the acting of the word of God.
- Wisdom refrains you from wrong choices.

2. Be peace oriented. Col. 3:15
- peaceful people keep it together even when things are in chaos.
- Thankfulness helps you to continually experience cycles of peace.
- choose to live at peace with everybody around you. Peaceful people are thankful (Col 3:15).
- Every peace ambassador is a right hand man of God.
- We reduce the move of God when we get to look at men for peace, rather than look to God who dwells within us.

Put On -Part 3
Topic: Putting on the whole armour of God
Text: Ephesians 6:10-18

Highlights:
- God calls our attention to be strong in the power of His might, and this is done by us putting on the whole armour of God.
- The complete armour of God includes the armour of light, the amour of righteousness and the armour of God listed in Ephesians 6:14-18.
- The complete armour of God is divided into two: The defensive armour and the offensive armour.
- Why is God asking us to put on these armour.:

1. The Danger:
- The enemy must not be trivalised, he is defeated and we have to ensure that just as he has been positionally defeated for us that we see him defeated in our lives as well.
- God wants us to be wise in understanding that the enemy has wiles (strategies) and structures.
- A believer who is not careful to intentionally discern the strategies of the enemy will not see continous victories.
- God always wants to lead us in triumph. 2nd Cor. 2:14, yet we need to ensure that we breakfree from strongholds, negative arguements a nd bring every thought to the obedience of Christ.
- An unrenewed mind though saved is a festering ground for demons.
- The enemies wiles that the believer have accepted becomes the breeding ground for most things the enemy will wrought in and through that believer.
- We are not meant to be ignorant of his structures, yes do not now go looking for their names and ranks but understand that regardless how the enemy hides his operations are still the same: steal, kill and destroy.
- Use the authority you have been given over him. Luke 10:19.

2. The Duty

A. Withstand
- The duty of the believer is first to withstand.
- As an occupational army we expected to withstand the enemy.
- To withstand means to resist forcefully.
- The believer is expected to firmly resist what the enemy is doing in and around them.
- So how do we withstand:-

Having your waist girded by the truth.
- It starts by knowing who is the truth. John 14:6
- Knowing that every truth stands on the foundation of the Truth.
- Speaking the truth at all times with the knowledge that you a personality of the the Truth. You are The Truth's Envoy.
- You ought to realize that the fact speaking the truth at all times in love gives a ray of hope in a situation of hopelessness.

Wearing the breastplate of righteousness.

- You put this on by right believing.
- The moment you gave your life to Christ, the power to believe right was activated.
- By this you are able to have a just mentality that effectively keeps your heart in a safe place.

Get your feet always ready to spread the gospel.

- God expects you be active with the ministry of reconciliationship. 2nd Cor. 5:18-19
- Be active and bold with the gospel. Romans. 1:16-17
- Always knowing why you should give anyone who cares to know the reason why you believe in what you have believed. 1st Peter 3:15.
- If you do not know enough be comfortable to ask and be taught. Acts 18:22-26.

B. Stand
- Stand in your watch by effectively using the word.
- Stand on the promises of God.
- By the word, your faith and prayer life is improved upon.
- Why many prayers don't seem answer is that we are praying in line with His will.
- Yes, pray all prayers. Make supplications and stand on your watch.

3. The Decision

- Man is the prize of the earth.
- God needs man's participation to get His will done on earth.
- Every great change starts with a decsion! Will you choose to always put on the the full gear?
- God's desire is your victory, it is time to take a deeper walk with God.
