MORNING DEVOTIONS UPDATES
TOPIC: REQUISITE FOR OBTAINING GOD'S MERCY
Ministering: The LORD'S Son
Text: Psalm 51
Mercy is a gift from God, not a right.
God's mercy is available to those who sincerely seek Him.
The degree to which God controls your life is the degree to which you’ve obtained mercy.
To be led by God is mercy.
To be warned by God is mercy.
To be corrected is mercy.
His Mercy is obtained in Submission to His Lordship
*How to Obtain God's Mercy*
1. Acknowledge your need for God's help.
Come before God knowing that you cannot help yourself.
2. Confess and acknowledge your sins.
Do not hide or excuse your wrongdoing
3. Acknowledge your weaknesses.
Be honest with God about your struggles and dependence on Him.
4. Have a broken and contrite spirit.
God responds to a humble and repentant heart
5. Desire a pure heart.
Pray as David did: "Create in me a clean heart, O God" (Psalm 51:10).
6. Humble yourself before God.
Pride hinders mercy, but humility attracts God's grace.
7. Come boldly to God's throne of grace.
We come seeking mercy and grace for help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
8. Cry out to God for mercy.
Mercy must be sought sincerely through prayer.
9. Allow God to cleanse your heart.
We seek God's mercy not only because we have sinned, but also because we need His help, grace, strength, and divine intervention. Mercy brings God's help into every area of our lives.
Luke 18:9 (KJV)
> "And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others."
This reminds us that those who rely on their own righteousness cannot receive God's mercy.
Mercy is for those who humbly depend on Him.
PRAYER:
LORD help us, clean us up from all our sins, iniquities and transgressions. Amen
DAILY AFFIRMATION
> "I AM A VESSEL OF GOD'S MERCY, GOODNESS AND LOVE. THEREFORE I OBTAIN GRACE FOR HUMILITY, PURITY OF HEART, LOVE FOR HUMANITY AND REVERENCE FOR GOD" 💪🏼🙏🏽🔥
The teaching was followed by deep self-reflection, sincere repentance, and a powerful revival. As prayers were offered with the outline above.
We meet again tomorrow. God Willing. Shalom Saints.
