The Bible reveals something very interesting about the 35th and history confirms it. It's about abrupt endings. In Genesis 35, certain things came to an end in Jacob's life: he ceased to be Jacob and became Israel; his last child, Benjamin, was born and child-bearing ceased; his first child, Reuben, lost his birthright to sexual immorality by sleeping with his father's concubine; Isaac, his father, died; Rachel, his favorite, wife died; Deborah, his mom's nurse, also died. Focus shifted from Jacob after Genesis 35. The 35th book of the Bible speaks about the cessation of the good life in Israel when "...the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines...the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food;...the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls" (Habakkuk 3:17 NKJV). 2 Chronicles 15:19 says, "And there was no war until the thirty-fifth year of the reign of Asa". The 35th year of Asa was when the good life ceased. What does modern history say about the 35th and abrupt endings? A lot! The Father of Quuen Elizabeth II, King George VI, died February 6, 1952, about the end of the 35th seven years of the United Kingdom. The 35th President of the United States, J. F. Kennedy, died in office. This is the 35th seven years of the United States (2015-2021) and the America we used to know is changing fast. We'll, I am writing about the 35th week of the year.
