A Reminder for the Blessed Day of Arafat
Written by Abu Jabir Abdullah Penabdul
I begin with the Name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Tomorrow is the Day of Arafat, a day unlike any other in the entire year. It is a golden opportunity granted by Allaah to His servants, a day in which the gates of mercy are flung wide open and the rewards for sincere worship are multiplied beyond measure.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of Arafat.”
O my dear brothers and sisters in Islam, let not this priceless day pass you by in heedlessness. Stand before your Lord with a humble heart, raise your hands in earnest supplication, and pour out your sins, your hopes, and your fears before the Most Merciful.
Fast if you are able, for fasting on this day expiates the sins of the previous year and the year to come. Engage in abundant dhikr, istighfar, and the recitation of the Qur’an.
Let your tongue remain moist with the remembrance of Allah.
This is not merely another day on the calendar. It is a divine invitation to draw closer to your Creator, to cleanse your soul, and to secure a beautiful portion in the Hereafter.
The world with all its distractions is temporary and deceptive, but the fruits of worship on Arafat endure forever.
Let us seize this blessed day with full conviction and sincerity. May Allaah accept our worship, forgive our shortcomings, and grant us the highest ranks in Jannah.
