May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle
down, abide, make His permanent home) in your
hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded
securely on love.
- Ephesians 3:17
Each one of us is born with a "love tank," and if our
tank is empty, we are in trouble. We need to start
receiving love from the moment we are born and
continue receiving it—and giving it out—until the day
we die. Sometimes Satan manages to arrange things so
that instead of receiving love, we receive abuse. If that
abuse continues, we become love starved and warped,
so that we are unable to maintain healthy relationships.
Many people develop addictive behaviors of different
types. If they can't get good feelings from within
themselves, they look for them on the outside. One of
the things we must understand is that people have to
have a certain number of good feelings. We are all
created to have good feelings about ourselves. We
cannot go around hurting, being wounded, and feeling
bad all the time. We are just not designed to live that
way.
To find those good feelings, many people turn to s*x,
drugs, alcohol, to***co, food, money, power, gambling,
work, television, sports, and many other addictive
things. They are simply trying to get those good feelings
they are missing from within themselves and their
relationships.
The good news is that whatever may have happened to
us in the past, whatever we may have been deprived of,
we can get it from the Lord. He is our Shepherd, so we
shall not want (see Psalm 23:1). He has promised not to
withhold any good thing from us (see Psalm 84:11).
If we did not get enough love when we were growing
up, or if we are not getting enough love now, we don't
have to go through the rest of our lives with an empty
"love tank." Even if there is not one other human being
on this earth who loves us, we are still loved by God,
and we can become rooted and grounded in His love.

Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in
every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and
petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue
to make your wants known to God.
- Philippians 4:6
Far too many times we treat prayer as a last-ditch
effort. The reasons vary—we try to fix a problem on our
own, we assume God is too busy with other things, or
we feel God is mad at us and won’t listen to our
prayers. But when we fail to pray the result is the same:
We carry burdens we do not need to bear.
For many believers, life is much harder than it has to
be because we do not realize how powerful prayer is. If
we did, we would pray about everything, not as a last
resort, but as a first response.
In James 5:13, the apostle James offers a simple, three-
word solution to some of life’s challenges: “He should
pray.” The message to us in this verse is that no matter
what happens over the course of a day, we can go to
God in prayer. There is a great benefit in this decision—
the more you pray, the closer to God you will be.
Anytime you have a problem, make prayer your first
response. If you have a need, don’t hesitate to tell God
what it is. When you are discouraged or feel like giving
up, let God be the first person you talk to about how
you are feeling. He loves you, and when you go to Him
in prayer, you will be amazed at what a difference it will
make in your life.

Shake It Off
by Joyce Meyer - posted October 18, 2015
Let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance
(unnecessary weight)…and let us run with patient
endurance and steady and active persistence the
appointed course of the race that is set before us
- Hebrews 12:1
One of my favorite stories is about a farmer's donkey
that fell into a dry well. The animal cried pitifully for
hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do for
his poor donkey. Finally, he concluded that the well was
too deep, and it really needed to be covered up
anyway. Besides, the donkey was old, and it would be a
lot of trouble to get him out of the pit. The farmer
decided that it was not worth trying to retrieve the
animal, so he asked his neighbors to help him fill in the
well and bury the donkey.
They all grabbed shovels and began to toss dirt into the
well. The donkey immediately realized what was
happening, and he began to bray horribly. Crying would
be our normal response if somebody was mistreating
us this badly, so this donkey was responding the same
way we would at first, but then he got real quiet. A few
shovel loads of dirt later, the farmer looked down the
well and was astonished at what he saw. With every
shovel of dirt that hit the donkey's back, the donkey
would shake it off and step on top of it.
As the neighbors and the farmer continued to shovel
dirt on top of the animal, he continued to shake it off
and take a step up. Pretty soon the donkey shook off
the last shovel full of dirt, took a step up, and walked
right out of the well. We can learn from this story. When
trouble comes, if we will get still and listen, God will tell
us what to do. By the grace and mercy of God, I was
able to shake off a lot of things in my life, a lot of hurt
feelings, a lot of mistreatment, a lot of abuse, a lot of
unfair, unjust, unkind things. Just like the donkey, in
order to keep pressing on and have victory in our lives,
we are going to have

DELIGENCE. It is a major requirement for success in life. The opposite is slothfulness [eccl10;15]. n
Nothing works for a lazy man, if you are slothful you will miss your slot, if you are slow you will end up low, if you are sluggish you will end up rubbish. Deligence is a ladder to the greatness. generally it is said if you are 50% more hard working than others, you will be ahead of them. Some people dont have the power of God; they have only the principles of God and because God respects the principles of life, all who follow his principles, attract his blessings. The advantage as a believer is that you dont just have the principles, you also have the power. nevertheless, power cannot work without principles.
