We celebrate today st Cecilia, a rich, beautiful and noble Roman maiden. She consecrated her virginity to God. St Cecilia was condemned to death because of her faith in Christ. She accepted to die for Christ rather than denying her faith in Christ. We Christians today need to evaluate our faith in Christ. Many of us have not encountered persecutions that can test our faith in Christ. Today, many allow little things to make them lose their faith in God. Each time we read the stories of the martyrs, we should be challenged to be more faithful in serving God. Let us use the talents given to us by God to produce good works.
