*STRENGTH IN SEASONS OF WEARINESS*
SUNDAY, MAY 24, 2026
PASTOR MARTINS OMONUA

*ISAIAH 49:4–5 (BBE)* “And I said, I have undergone weariness for nothing, I have given my strength for no purpose or profit: but still the Lord will take up my cause, and my God will give me my reward. And now, says the Lord, who made me his servant when I was still in my mother’s body, so that I might make Jacob come back to him, and so that Israel might come together to him: and I was honoured in the eyes of the Lord, and my God became my strength.”

*KEYWORD:* What may look like delay today can become a testimony of His faithfulness in due season.

Sometimes, we find ourselves in seasons where it feels as though the Lord is silent and help seems far from us. We feel weak, frustrated, tired, and discouraged. At such moments, it may seem as though everything we have labored for is producing little in comparison to what we have invested. Time, energy, resources, and sincere labor of love may have been poured out repeatedly, and then the enemy begins to whisper subtle lies to the heart. His voice often comes through discouraging thoughts, suggesting that you should give up.

You may hear within yourself, “You have tried enough. Perhaps it is time to stop. Maybe this is not the path for you.” These thoughts are designed to disconnect you from purpose. The enemy often uses seasons of delay, moments when you feel unappreciated, and the absence of immediate results as opportunities to sow discouragement and weariness, especially in the life of a believer who is genuinely serving the Lord. But at every point in time, you must discern that this is not the voice of God.
Look again at the opening scripture. Even in the place of weariness, the prophet shifted his focus and declared, “but still the Lord will take up my cause, and my God will give me my reward.” This is the mindset of faith.

When you remember that God is the One who called you, and that He fully understands all that your assignment requires, you will not easily surrender to discouragement. God does not abandon those who labour with Him in the fulfillment of His purpose. If you also remember that it is not in God’s nature to forsake His own, then like the prophet, you will come to a settled conviction that says, “my God will give me my reward.”
That confidence is not built on circumstances, but on the faithfulness of God. In this season where many are growing weary, I encourage you to remain steadfast. The same God who called you will strengthen you. What may look like delay today can become a testimony of His faithfulness in due season. He will sustain you, establish His purpose through your life, and give strength for every season. Do not give up. Your strength is being renewed in Him daily. Glory to God!

*PRAYER:*
Dear Lord, thank You for this reminder that You see me and You are mindful of all I do for Your kingdom. Strengthen my heart not to turn away in weariness. Help me to hold on until the manifestation of Your reward in my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

*FURTHER STUDY:*
2 CORINTHIANS 6:2 (BBE) “For he says, I have given ear to you at a good time, and I have been your helper in a day of salvation…”

ISAIAH 49:7–8 (BBE) “Kings will see and get up from their places… because of the Lord who keeps faith…”

*THE SEASON OF GRACE*
SATURDAY, MAY 23, 2026
PASTOR MARTINS OMONUA

*LUKE 13:8–9* “And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.”

*KEYWORD:* God created us, endowed us with gifts, and gave us His Word so that we may use all He has placed within us for His glory and for the impact of lives.

We often hear the word grace and wrongly assume it is a license to continue in wrongdoing while still expecting God’s mercy without responsibility. Over and over again, some take the patience of God for granted because they assume He will always overlook disobedience without consequence. But when a man continues knowingly in sin, he gradually numbs his conscience. And when the conscience becomes hardened, spiritual sensitivity is weakened. This is often the beginning of a dangerous drift away from divine direction.

When a believer’s conscience is no longer responsive, especially to the voice of God, it becomes difficult to discern the leading of the Holy Spirit and to clearly receive what God is saying. The result is spiritual insensitivity, which many times is not immediately recognized, yet it directly affects fruitfulness and purpose.

God created us, endowed us with gifts, and gave us His Word so that we may use all He has placed within us for His glory and for the impact of lives. But when we neglect spiritual growth and remain unyielded to His dealings, we hinder the manifestation of fruitfulness.
In the opening scripture, Jesus spoke of a fig tree that had remained unfruitful. The owner desired to cut it down, but the dresser pleaded for mercy and requested more time to cultivate it and give it another opportunity to bear fruit. That request was granted, but it came with expectation.

In the same way, many of us have been given seasons of grace. Seasons of correction, exposure to truth, encounters with the Word, and opportunities to serve in God’s house. Yet the question remains, what have we done with these opportunities? You may have been planted in a place where the Word of God is taught with sincerity, where prayer is alive, and where opportunities to serve and grow are available. But grace is not endless opportunity without accountability. It is time-bound mercy with expectation of fruitfulness.

God’s longsuffering is an expression of His mercy, but it carries an expectation of repentance, growth, and fruitfulness. Before this year runs out, your season of grace and divine opportunity is speaking. God knows what He expects from your life. Do not waste divine opportunity or take His patience for weakness. Respond to His dealings. Yield to His pruning and prompting. Be fruitful and always walk in His will for your life. Praise God!

*PRAYER:*
Father, help me to value the grace You have given me and never to take it for granted. Strengthen me by Your Word and by Your Spirit to be fruitful in my calling, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

*FURTHER STUDY:*
LUKE 13:6–7 “He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none… cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?”
JEREMIAH 8:13 “I will surely consume them, saith the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.”

*WE DON’T FAST FOR POWER (II)*
FRIDAY, MAY 22, 2026
PASTOR MARTINS OMONUA

*Luke 4:1 (KJV)* “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,”

*KEYWORD:* The Holy Spirit is the power of God, and when a man is full of the Holy Spirit, he is already functioning from divine empowerment.

Just as Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, so also Adam was given a place of responsibility in creation to exercise the dominion mandate entrusted to him by God. Genesis 2:19–20 says, “And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them... And Adam gave names to all cattle...”
This shows that dominion was not something Adam needed to struggle to obtain. It was part of the authority already given to him by God. In the same way, the Holy Spirit is the power of God, and when a man is full of the Holy Spirit, he is already functioning from divine empowerment.

God’s children must come to a place of understanding where even their fasting, when to fast, how to fast, and how to break it, is led by the Spirit.
Adam did not need to fast to exercise dominion because authority was already part of his created identity. He operated from identity, not from striving. The Church must be careful not to turn spiritual exercises into formulas that lack scriptural balance, revelation and knowledge. We do not fast to gain power. We fast to separate ourselves from distractions, to subdue the flesh, to heighten spiritual sensitivity, to bring the body under subjection, and to give the Spirit of God full preeminence in our lives.
Over time, personal experiences and ministry patterns have caused some to misinterpret certain scriptures. Matthew 17:21 says, “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” The emphasis here is not that fasting generates power, but that a life of prayer and consecration sharpens spiritual sensitivity, discernment, and readiness in dealing with spiritual matters. Spiritual authority operates through revelation, discernment, and submission to God, not through empty religious practice.

This is why Jesus often addressed spirits with precision and authority. Luke 9:42, “And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.” His authority flowed from His union with the Father and the operation of the Spirit, not from fasting as a formula. After Pentecost, the Apostles walked in greater consistency of manifestation because of the indwelling presence and fullness of the Holy Spirit. This should teach every believer that fasting does not create power. It positions the believer for greater sensitivity, alignment, and yieldedness to the Spirit who is Himself the source of power.
Therefore, let your fasting always be done with understanding and revelation. Fast not because you are trying to become powerful, but because you desire to remain yielded, sensitive, and fully aligned with the Spirit of God and His will for your life. Hallelujah!

*PRAYER:*
Father, help me to value the grace You have given me and never to take it for granted. Strengthen me by Your Word and by Your Spirit to be fruitful in my calling, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

*WE DON’T FAST FOR POWER (I)*
THURSDAY, MAY 21, 2026
PASTOR MARTINS OMONUA

*LUKE 4:1* “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,”

*KEYWORD:* Spiritual victory does not come through fasting alone, but through a life yielded to the Spirit and established in the truth of God’s Word.

When you study the Scriptures, from the time of the prophets to the era of the Apostles, there is no direct instruction that believers fast in order to obtain power. Yet today, many statements are made, even by some ministers, suggesting that fasting is primarily a means of acquiring or demonstrating power. This is not the central emphasis of Scripture. The Bible says Jesus was full of the Holy Ghost and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where He fasted forty days and forty nights and was tempted of the devil. The key emphasis here is not the pursuit of power, but being led by the Spirit in the fullness of divine direction.

When you read or study the scripture, it is important to pay close attention to the wording of Scripture. Many believers read the Bible through the lens of interpretations they have received from men. But if you truly desire the Holy Spirit to teach you, you must be willing to set aside inherited assumptions and allow the Word of God to reveal its truth plainly.

The Spirit of God was the One who directed Jesus into that season of fasting and prayer according to divine purpose. He was not fasting to become powerful. He was walking in obedience to the leading of the Spirit.
Why then was He led into the wilderness and allowed to be tempted by the devil? One reason was that the declaration spoken by the Father over Him, “This is my beloved Son,” was about to be tested. This is why Satan repeatedly said, “If thou be the Son of God,” seeking to tempt Him to act independently of the Father’s will and to misuse divine authority outside the boundaries of obedience.

But Jesus did not yield to those provocations, because a man is governed by what he has submitted himself unto. Secondly, the wilderness was a place of testing and consecration, where Jesus demonstrated complete submission to the Word of God. Every response He gave to Satan was rooted in Scripture. This shows us that spiritual victory does not come through fasting alone, but through a life yielded to the Spirit and established in the truth of God’s Word.

Mark 1:13 says, “And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.” This should teach every believer that fasting is not a formula for power. Power comes from the Holy Ghost. Fasting only positions your heart for sensitivity, discipline, and alignment with the Spirit. Do not fast because you are chasing power. Fast because you desire deeper fellowship, greater sensitivity to the Spirit, and fuller alignment with the will of God. Hallelujah!

*PRAYER:*
Dear Heavenly Father, I walk every day of my life in the light of Your Word, not in human opinions or experiences. I fast with understanding, that the light of Your Word may rise in my spirit and establish me in the consciousness of who I am in Christ. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

*FURTHER STUDY:*
PSALMS 35:13 “But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.”
DANIEL 9:3 “And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:”

*ZEAL ACCORDING TO KNOWLEDGE*
WEDNESDAY, MAY 20, 2026
PASTOR MARTINS OMONUA

*ROMANS 10:1-2* “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.”

*KEYWORD:* As believers, we must be spiritually sensitive enough to discern the direction of the Spirit when He is bringing us into deeper dimensions of truth through His Word.

It is very important, as God’s children, that we combine knowledge with zeal, just as it is also important to combine faith with understanding. In our journey with God, zeal is necessary, just as faith is necessary, because without faith no man can please God.

However, zeal without knowledge can become dangerous. Apostle Paul made this sincere observation concerning Israel. He testified that they had zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. This imbalance became a great limitation to them. The Jews were deeply devoted and committed to the righteousness of the Law, yet when God began to reveal the fulfillment of the Law through grace in Christ Jesus, many found it difficult to receive it.

Acts 10:13–14 says, “And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.” Even Apostle Peter initially struggled to understand what God was revealing. The vision was not merely about food, but about God revealing that salvation through Christ had now been extended to all men, including the Gentiles. This truth became clearer when Peter testified before the brethren in Judea, and their conclusion was recorded in Acts 11:18, “When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.”

As believers, we must be spiritually sensitive enough to discern the direction of the Spirit when He is bringing us into deeper dimensions of truth through His Word. We must not resist Him simply because His dealings challenge our previous understanding. Many become so zealous without scriptural understanding that they end up resisting the very move of God in their lives. It was this same zeal without knowledge that caused many of the Jews to resist the Apostles and oppose the advancement of the Gospel.

Acts 13:50 says, “But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.” Do not be like them in this dispensation of grace. When the Spirit of God is leading you into deeper revelation through His Word, do not frustrate His work through ignorance or rigid tradition. Rather, yield with humility while searching the Scriptures diligently to confirm His leading. Ask sincere questions with an open heart. Test all things by the Word of God, and as you remain teachable before Him, He will guide you into all truth. Glory to God!

*PRAYER:*
Dear Heavenly Father, I take advantage of Your grace in my life. I yield to the leading and working of the Holy Spirit in me. I serve You with zeal, and I also serve You with knowledge, not in ignorance, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

*FURTHER STUDY:*
ACTS 10:34–35 “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.”
GALATIANS 2:21 “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”

*THE LORDSHIP OF CHRIST (II)*
TUESDAY, MAY 19, 2026
PASTOR MARTINS OMONUA

*HEBREWS 4:12* “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit… and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

*KEYWORD:* The Word of God is not separate from God. It reveals His mind, expresses His will, and reflects His nature.

When you say, “Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life,” what does it truly mean to you? Is it merely a statement you have learned to say, or is it a reality that governs your daily living? The confession of Christ’s Lordship carries weight. It is not simply an acknowledgment of His existence or His power. It is the surrender of your will to His authority.

One of the clearest expressions of the Lordship of Christ is the place the Word of God occupies in your life. The Word of God is not separate from Him. It reveals His mind, expresses His will, and reflects His nature. To submit to the Lordship of Christ is to submit to the authority of His Word. This is where many believers struggle. Many allow the Word to influence only selected areas of their lives. They welcome correction in certain matters, yet resist it in others. Some submit in public conduct but resist in private character. Some receive the Word where it comforts them, but reject it where it confronts them. Others resist its correction in areas such as anger, bitterness, dishonesty, unforgiveness, pride, and unchecked desires. This is selective submission. And selective submission is not true Lordship.

The opening Scripture reveals that the Word of God discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart. This means the Word does not merely address outward actions. It penetrates deeply enough to expose hidden motives, secret resistance, and areas where self is still enthroned. This is why many become uncomfortable when the Word comes with correction. The discomfort is often the exposure of what has not yet been surrendered. But why resist the very power sent to heal, restore, and transform you? Why struggle against the tool God uses to refine you into His image?

Some attempt to justify their resistance by pointing to past hurts, disappointments, or the failures of others. Yet none of these remove the transforming power of God’s Word. His Word carries within it the grace and ability to heal, transform and reshape a man completely from within.
Colossians 3:16 says “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom…” Notice the instruction. The Word is to dwell richly in you. Not occasionally. Not partially. Not only in convenient areas. But richly in every part of your life. It is meant to govern your thoughts, shape your responses, direct your decisions, and form your character. This is what it means for Christ to truly be Lord.

So open your heart fully to His Word. Allow it to search you. Allow it to correct you. Allow it to break what must be broken and build what must be established. Yield until your life becomes a visible expression of Christ’s nature. That is the evidence of His Lordship. Glory to God!

*PRAYER:*
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word coming to me today. I yield myself to the power and authority of Your Word. Let it build me, correct me, and transform every area of my life into the image of Christ, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

*FURTHER STUDY:*
ACTS 20:32 “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”

1 PETER 1:25 “But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”
