TOPIC- DON'T BE A CASUAL CHRISTIAN

TEXT- Mark 10:46-52.

A casual Christian is someone who is not serious or committed in their walk with God. God desires believers who are passionate, intentional, and fully committed to Him.

In Mark 10:46–52, Bartimaeus demonstrated the kind of desperation and determination that attracts divine attention. Although a great multitude was around Jesus, the voice of one desperate man was louder than the entire multitude.

When you are desperate enough, it will attract the heavens and your eyes will be opened.

Things to Note About Casual Brothers and Sisters:

-They come to church whenever they like.

-They are not major stakeholders in God's business.

-They chat or sleep while the Word of God is being preached.

-They always have excuses for their lack of commitment.

There are certain things God may not do for a person who continues to remain casual in their relationship with Him.
Mark 10:48, Matthew 11:12.

Be Careful With the Grace That Lifted You. Never misbehave to the grace that lifted you up, because that same grace can bring you down.

We must never become careless or complacent because of the blessings, opportunities, or elevation God has given us.

Genesis 21:8–21 also reminds us that circumstances can change, and therefore we must remain dependent on God.

Always allow God to lead You before taking any major step in life, seek God's direction.

Do not allow excitement, pressure, people, or circumstances to make decisions for you. Let God lead you before you take a step.

Desperation attracts divine attention. Bartimaeus was desperate for an encounter with Jesus. His determination caused him to cry louder than the surrounding multitude.

When your mind is made up concerning anything in life, you are more likely to pursue it until you experience an encounter with God. Do not remain casual, Be serious with God.

A casual Christian watches what God is doing; a committed Christian becomes part of what God is doing.
