SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE..8TH MARCH, 2020.
TOPIC: TOO FAITHFUL TO FAIL.
TEXT: GENESIS 13 : 15
PREACHER: PASTOR OMOTOLA ADEBAYO.
God is too FAITHFUL TO FAIL. Life is God's gift to man but how we live our lives is our gift to God.
The Lord wants us to customise our lives and future.
TO CUSTOMIZE means building something to suit your taste for enjoyment.
God wants you to make your future in the way you'll enjoy it.
You have a responsibility to customize how your future would be.
What will it take to better your life, enjoy good tidings and frustrate the enemy? The answer is the 'WILL' to do it.
What will it take to enjoy the promises of God? Action is required.
Alfred Nobel was born on 21 October 1833 in Stockholm, Sweden, into a family of engineers. He was a chemist, engineer, and inventor. In 1894, Nobel purchased the Bofors iron and steel mill, which he made into a major armaments manufacturer. Nobel also invented ballistite. This invention was a precursor to many smokeless military explosives, especially the British smokeless powder cordite. As a consequence of his patent claims, Nobel was eventually involved in a patent infringement lawsuit over cordite. Nobel amassed a fortune during his lifetime, with most of his wealth coming from his 355 inventions, of which dynamite is the most famous.
In 1888, Nobel was astonished to read his own obituary, titled The merchant of death is dead, in a French newspaper. It was Alfred's brother Ludvig who had died; the obituary was eight years premature. The article disconcerted Nobel and made him apprehensive about how he would be remembered. This inspired him to change his will. On 10 December 1896, Alfred Nobel died in his villa in San Remo, Italy, from a cerebral haemorrhage. He was 63 years old.
Nobel wrote several wills during his lifetime. He composed the last over a year before he died, signing it at the Swedish–Norwegian Club in Paris on 27 November 1895. To widespread astonishment, Nobel's last will specified that his fortune be used to create a series of prizes for those who confer the "greatest benefit on mankind" in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature, and peace. Nobel bequeathed 94% of his total assets, 31 million SEK (c. US$186 million, €150 million in 2008), to establish the five Nobel Prizes.
So Nobel, after reading about his obituary asked himself some pertinent questions:
1. If I eventually die, is this how the world would remember me?
2. If this is the world's impression about me, how do I change it?
After examining these questions, Nobel decided to transfer his wealth to a course of rewarding all that distinguish themselves in various fields of human endeavor. That is what is known today as the "NOBEL PRIZE".
This singular act changed the whole principle about Nobel and revered him as one of the best humans ever lived.
One positive action can change the trajectory of your life, take it now.
John 1 : 8
There are two kinds of success namely good and bad success.
It doesn't matter what the enemy is planning or throwing at you, just realize that God is too FAITHFUL TO FAIL.
Act on the word of God, take it hook, line and sinker
2 Corinthians 4 : 7 & 8
There's something missing in the world that only you can solve or add up.
Without your treasure, the world is losing something.
Locate the treasure of God in your life and go ahead to execute it.
Our habits determine our future. Create your habits for your life.
Live your dream not your fears.
Luke 18 : 1
Never allow your mind or anyone make you believe that anything is impossible.
Impossibility lives in the minds of fools.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
1. Use your mind. Millions of thoughts pass through our minds daily. Our thoughts don't make us, rather we make them.
Replace negative messages with positive ones. Change the things you ponder on.
Live a healthy lifestyle. Don't stuff toxins in your system because what you put in your body today is what you harvest tomorrow.
The messages you listen to especially very early in the day are the determinants of your entire day outcomes.
2. Be responsible for life. Take responsibility for your actions in life.
3. Be selective of your friends. If you are the best amongst your friends or group, change your friends and hook up to those you'd be looking up to.
Proverbs 13 : 20
4. Be a blessing to others. You can either be a blessing or a lesson.
Let your life impact positively on others. Live your life in such a manner that the world celebrates you.
It doesn't matter where you are, the Lord will lift you.
The mind can do two things, it can either think or worry, so use your mind wisely.
1 Kings 19 : 2 - 4
Mind the words you use for yourself. Words create images and fear. Most people are propelled by fear.
REMAIN BLESSED IN JESUS NAME.
