TOPIC: POWERFUL PRAYER IN THE FACE OF OPPOSITION

Friday 24TH APRIL 2026

Text: - 2 CHRONICLES 14:11 (NKJV) “Asa cried out to the Lord ... ‘it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O Lord our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. O Lord, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You!’”

Asa had been a good king, doing “what was good and right” in God’s eyes. He also provided practical leadership. Under his guidance, Judah “built and prospered.” Yet, in spite of preparations he directed, Judah felt outnumbered when attacked by Ethiopians with their “army of a million men and three hundred chariots.”
In this crisis, Asa turned to God, crying, “Help us, O Lord our God, for we rest on You.” He realized that they faced an enemy who was defying God, but knew that they were going against Judah as His representatives.

They completely depended on Him: “O Lord, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You!” They realized that this was God’s battle, not theirs. As they trusted in Him, He brought overwhelming victory!

Learning from Asa, we can take action when we face problems: Our first step should be to acknowledge the supremacy of God, remembering that nothing is too hard for Him! We also need to see ourselves as His ambassadors, and realize that the battle is His. We are in His army, and can have great confidence. He knows what to do, and how to achieve victory in every conflict.

We must continually trust in Him, declaring that He is our Lord, living according to the principles found in His Word. Like Asa, we must declare, “O Lord, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You!’”

Do you face challenges? Follow the pattern provided by Asa. Call on God. Commit your needs to Him. Trust in Him. Walk in faith and obedience. And believe Him for victory!

* Father, I commit these situations to You: _______. I believe You for the answers and I receive answers now in Jesus’ name. I overcome every opposition on my ways and let no man prevail against you in my situation. I Thank You for victory in Jesus’ name. Amen.

PRAYING FROM VICTORY, NOT FOR IT.

Text- 1 Corinthians 15:57_“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Romans 8:37 “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

When you hear the preaching on your new reality as a New Testament believer, that doesn’t mean there won’t be challenges while being in Christ. What matters is our prayer approach to the situation. We are not to pray like someone looking for victory, but like someone who knows victory has already been given in that situation.

If it’s a prayer of petition to God, you don’t need to beg Him for long life as if He needs your years to be called Everlasting or the Ancient of Days. You don’t approach Him like a slave with no rights or privileges, begging for money as if His resources would diminish if He gave you some. Bible says “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Heb. 4:17”. Philippians 4:19 “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” 2 Peter 1:3 “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness.”

He’s not moved by tears the way Old Testament saints approached Him without a covenant basis. He’s moved by His Word in your mouth. Let His Word be your tears. Let His Word be your emotion. Stop being driven by emotion. For it is written “So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty. Isa. 55:11”. Mark 11:23 “Whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart... it will be done for him.”_

And when it has to do with Satan, you don’t pray to God. You don’t negotiate like someone defeated. You command with your Christ-given authority. Luke 10:19 “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”. James 4:7_“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Matthew 16:19 “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven.”_

So rise up. Stop begging for what’s already yours and start declaring what Christ has already won. You don’t fight for victory, you enforce it. The cross wasn’t a down payment. It was full payment. Act like it.

Somebody has been praying like an orphan, crying like a slave, and talking to the devil like he still owns you. That stops now. If you’re done with beggarly prayers, if you’re done negotiating with hell, if you’re ready to take your seat in Christ and legislate from the throne room, stand to your feet right now.

Lift your voice and say it with me:
_“Father, in the name of Jesus, I repent for praying like I’m defeated. I receive the finished work of Christ. I am not a beggar, I am a son. I am not a slave, I am an heir. I am not a victim, I am more than a conqueror. I have been given authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. From this moment, I stop asking for victory and I start enforcing it. I come boldly. I speak the Word. I command the devil. I reign in life through Christ. This is my new prayer posture. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!”_

Now somebody shout: _“I pray from victory!”_
_“The war is over, I won!”_

TOPIC: CONCERNING GENERATIONAL CURSES

Friday April 17th 2026

Text: Numbers 23:23 "Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!"

Colossians 1:13 (NIV) For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves.

This verse of Colossians indicates a definitive change of ownership, where believers are no longer subject to the power of sin and darkness. It highlights a spiritual "migration" from one authority (Satan/Darkness) to another (Jesus/Light). The kingdom of the Son is interpreted as the kingdom of grace, life, and light, rather than only a future heavenly kingdom. Therefore every believer has been migrated from generational curses into generational blessings because this spiritual transformation is rooted in the work of Jesus, providing hope and redemption.

Curses are real, and they are still in operation today. However, when a person becomes born again, they are delivered from the authority of the curse as highlighted above. Yes, the believer is free! But here’s the truth, curses are often enforced by evil spirits. And evil spirits, like stubborn bad boys, don’t back off simply because you say you’re free. They respond to authority, not mere awareness. The seven sons of Sceva attempted to cast out an evil spirit by repeating the name of Jesus, acting only on awareness/information rather than authority. The possessed man subsequently overpowered them, demonstrating that spiritual authority, not just knowledge of a name, is required to command spirits (Acts 19:13-16).

You must enforce your freedom by the power in the name of Jesus. Jesus said, “Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound for eighteen years, be loosed?” (Luke 13:16) Then He enforced her right as a daughter of Abraham, and she was delivered. The same applies today. Enforce it. Give the command. Be firm about it. Are you a believer? Then you are not cursed. (Num. 23:23). Shalom!

Confession and Prayer:
•Isaiah 43:26 “……declare thou, that thou mayest be justified”. Go beyond just awareness and go ahead to announce to every agent of darkness by the authority in the name of Jesus, Say it loud and clear, I’m not cursed! I’m blessed through Jesus!
•Go ahead and personalized Numbers 23:23 to yourself in faith "Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!"
•I have the genealogy of God because it is written in 1 John 4:4 “ye are of God”. I do not partake in the bloodline curse anymore in Jesus’ name.
•Psalm 127:3 signifies that I belong to God and I’m only entrusted to my parents as a reward or blessing. Therefore, I come from God and I arrived in a physical family and therefore I refuse to partake in the curses of the family that I arrived at in the name of Jesus because I am first with God. Glory!!!

TOPIC: THE OIL OF FAVOUR (2)

Text: Acts: 11:11-13 “11 At that very moment, three men stood before the house where I was, having been sent to me from Caesarea. 12 Then the Spirit told me to go with them, doubting nothing. …… and we entered the man’s house. 13 And he told us how he had seen an angel standing in his house, who said to him, ‘Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon whose surname is Peter.”

In continuation from yesterday’s message. From our text, we can see that it is Godly possible to be helped and favoured that those who do not know you today can wake up with your name in their thoughts and mouths tomorrow. Cornelius was given a well description of Peter, his surname and also down to where Peter would be found. When a man receives this oil of favour, it will compel men to seek you out for blessing where you are and they won’t rest until they fulfil the divine assignment they have in your life.

This type of favour often manifests by the way of: *Supernatural Remembrance. Those who forgot or overlooked you suddenly remember you for good, often due to an "overnight" shift in perception (like Mordecai in the Bible). *Divine Announcement and visibility. Your gift, CV, or business suddenly lands before the right eyes without you applying. Your reputation or skills are announced in places you have never visited, causing influential people to seek you out. *Irresistible Favour. People become inexplicably inclined to help you, promote you, or grant your petitions, even if they didn't know you previously. *Positioning and Acceleration. Favour removes bottlenecks, causing your career or life to advance suddenly,
Compressing years of struggle into days. What should take years of networking happens overnight because favor fast-tracks process. *Voice before presence. Someone starts advocating for you in your absence. “You need to meet this person.”

You can attract this favour through: *Consistent Prayer: Specifically asking God for "Oil of Favour" to be upon you. *Living with Integrity: Walking in righteousness makes your name reputable. *Being a Problem Solver: Developing skills that make you indispensable to high-level people. *Thanksgiving: Actively thanking God for favor, which increases your awareness of it. Confession and Prayer:
1. Isaiah 60:10 “Foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you; for in my wrath I struck you, but in my favor I have had mercy on you.” *Turn strangers into channels of blessing. Lord, let people who don’t know me today become instruments for my contracts, open doors, and elevation tomorrow. In Jesus’ name*
2. Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn.” *I Silence and cancel every voice of disfavor and denial. Let favor overturn rejection and replace it with divine recommendation. In Jesus’ name*
3. 1 Samuel 16:18-19 “One of the servants said, ‘I have seen a son of Jesse... skillful in playing...’ Therefore Saul sent messengers to Jesse and said, ‘Send me your son David.’”_
*Father, establish me before great people. As You promised, let my gift bring me before kings and people of influence. I will not be small where I’m called to be great. In Jesus’ name*
4. Psalm 126:1-2 “When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. Then our mouth was filled with laughter...” * Father, let my phone ring for good news. Father, let calls, emails, and messages come from expected and unexpected places, all carrying testimonies. In Jesus’ name*
5. Luke 1:45 “Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.” *Father, seal these prayers with speed and evidence. Lord, let the results of these prayers show up suddenly. Let my life advertise Your favor this week. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

TOPIC: THE OIL OF FAVOUR (1)

Text: Acts 9:10-12 “10 Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, “Ananias.”And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” 11 So the Lord said to him, “Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying. 12 And in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, so that he might receive his sight.”

There is a kind of favour that causes someone who didn't know your name yesterday to start calling for it today. There are testimonies of God’s acts in this regard we’ve heard or personally experienced, and even though people might choose not to believe but the truth remains that this kind of favour is real. As seen from our text, considering how the Lord gave detailed information about Saul to Ananias, from the street he was, to the house he was and the name of who to enquire. Although Ananias had heard about Saul before but even if he was hearing about Saul for the first time, he wouldn’t have needed any other information more detailed than what he already had. Also, Saul had the knowledge of someone called Ananias through the vision. This is exact way of how God is still putting the names of His children on the lips of stranger for them to be favoured.

This kind of favour is a form of supernatural remembrance and uncommon recognition. It is often described as a sudden shift where God aligns your path with key decision-makers or destiny helpers, causing your name to be mentioned in high places. It’s when God puts your name in rooms you’ve never entered and on lips that never knew you. One day you’re unknown, the next day you’re the person they can’t stop mentioning for opportunities, contracts, help, or blessings. If you can believe God, He still anoints with oil of favour and your name can be the next on the lips of people looking for you with blessings in their hands. (CONTINUES TOMORROW). Shalom!

3. Esther 6:1-3 “That night the king could not sleep... and it was found written that Mordecai had told of the plot... The king said, ‘What honor or dignity has been bestowed on Mordecai for this? *Father, raise voices to speak for me in my absence. Father, assign men and women to advocate for me. Let them say, “You need this person,” and push my case forward. In Jesus’ name. *
4. Proverbs 18:16 “A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.” *Heavenly Father, let my gift, CV, and work find the right eyes. By favor, let what I carry lands before destiny helpers. No more hiding, no more delay. My gift makes room for me. In Jesus’ name*
