THE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST: Season 1 " Christian living"...
Mat 5:43-44 KJV Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;.
Christianity teaches us not to love only those who love us,
To do good only to those who are good to us,
To bless only those who bless us,
To honour only those who honour us,
To give only to those who give to us,
NO!
For Christian living is not founded on the principle of trade by barter, but on the unbending principle of walking in love even when you've been battered:
This means, we are expected to love those who hate us,
To be good to those who are bad to us,
To bless those who curse us,
To honour even those who dishonour us,
To give to those who never give to us,
To be kind to those who are unkind to us:
This is the doctrine of Christ; this is the way of life He modelled for us and now instructs and expects us to live out in relation to all men, especially amongst our brethren of like FAITH: not a transactional relationship but a love relationship.
Mat 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
So the reason for this kind of living has everything to do with WHO YOU ARE, and WHOSE YOU ARE: but absolutely nothing to do with who you are dealing with:
In other words "YOUR POSTURE OR CHARACTER DISPOSITION TOWARDS MEN, SHOULD BE A REFLECTION OF WHO YOU ARE AND WHOSE YOU ARE, AND NOT who they are ...
This is the Doctrine of Christ...
